Such a good company
Such a good company, whenever I have technical difficulties they always take the time to chat through with me step by step. Great service and reasonable price, would recommend!
I swapped over to IDNet as they offer…
I swapped over to IDNet as they offer a fixed-price term, which I prefer. I was already with another CityFibre ISP and did wonder how seamless it would be transferring over to IDNet.
They have been fantastic from the word go! I phoned to query a few things, and the person I spoke to was very polite and informative. They clearly explained the process and the steps involved in transferring over.
I had a few more questions while waiting for the connection to go live, which was around three weeks time. Their responses through email were always prompt, either the same day or the next - big shout out to (Chloe).
I truthfully cannot fault them on anything.
If you’re thinking about switching, I would fully recommend IDNet. Having UK based customer service is also a big bonus, as they understand your queries and don’t fob you off with scripts like the bigger companies do.

Great ISP
I've been with IDNet for quite a time now & have had nothing but unfailingly good service from them over the years, both in terms of broadband reliability & help over the phone when (rarely) needed. They have always been quickly available to speak, friendly, knowledgeable & patient &, though they're not the cheapest providers out there (but still reasonably priced) with them I can honestly say that you do get exactly what you pay for.
Happy with everything so far!
No complaints, there were some delays in getting the service activated but this was due to Cityfibre making mistakes, IDNET chased them until they resolved the issue.
The network has been stable so far, works on my custom hardware too, no complaints!
Good customer service team
First internet provider I experienced that has a quite easy to reach and competent customer service team. They also have options to buy (with a decent discount) good quality router from them - if you want good wi-fi signals in your home, this is essential.

First Class ISP
I have been with IDNet for eight years. They are a wonderful ISP. Drops in service are few and far between but, when I encounter an issue, Customer Service representatives and are readily available and good at problem solving. It’s a little more expensive than the big providers, but not having to deal with Virgin, EE or any of those charlatans is worth its weight in gold.
Perfect service
A human answered my call within less than a minute. He was helpful and knowledgeable. It felt like I was speaking to a kind friend. He initiated the necessary fix quickly and efficiently. I wish all companies offered this quality of customer service.
Solid and Reliable
I've been with iDNet for 16 years of solid reliable service. No, they aren't the cheapest, but in the event you need to call support they're always there and know what they are talking about. Highly recommended.
Terrific ISP
We've been with IDNet for about 18 years and wouldn't dream of switching. Broadband is totally reliable, and telephone service is great as well. If you have any questions or (unlikely) problems, your phone call will be quickly answered by friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Fastest connection I've ever had
Been with IDNet for under a month, already super impressed.
They are consistently meeting their advertised speeds of ~2.4Gbps up and down (which is insane, btw), and thus far I've had zero connectivity issues. Their pricing is also extremely reasonable considering the speeds you are getting.
If you live in a CityFibre area I can strongly recommend them. I can't speak to the experience on OpenReach, however.
Reliable service with excellent support
Reliability of the connection is faultless. In the many years I have been with IDNet, I can count the total downtime in mere minutes. Speed is the full rate of the advertised service.
UK based tech support is provided by staff with a deep knowledge of the tech and the infrastructure. When I converted from FTTC to full fibre, they handled all the dealings with Openreach over the eight weeks it took to complete the transition.
They also have no silly rules or disclaimers. I was allowed to use my own router so I did not need to reconfigure anything - just enter the new login.
Reliable & friendly staff I was very knowledgeable
A great ISP if you need to contact them, they’re on the ball and are very technically minded so they know instantly what’s going on not that I have to contact them very often at all maybe a handful of times in the last decade also polite great service loads of peering points honesty there’s no reason I would ever change to another provider.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent service and smooth switch from AAISP
I’ve just switched from AAISP to IDNet, and the whole migration went very smoothly. My service switched over around 1:30 AM and reprogramming my router with the new credentials and ranges was straightforward.
Initially, I did run into a strange issue where my connection speed was stuck around 95/900 instead of 900/900. At first it looked like a CityFibre profile problem, and IDNet support began checking it for me. While they were doing that, I eventually discovered (with help from another IDNet customer using the same router) that it was down to some MikroTik settings — specifically, don’t nail up the MTU or it can cause problems. Once adjusted, the line immediately performed at the expected full 900/900.
What really impressed me was that even after I’d let them know I’d solved it, IDNet still followed up on my support case to check everything was working properly, which I appreciated.
I’ve also had some excellent support beyond that:
They quickly fixed an incorrect route that was sending traffic via the US instead of London — sorted in the early hours of the morning.
They configured reverse DNS for me, and even when there was a minor issue with the IPv4 block, it was resolved rapidly.
Overall, the move from AAISP has been smooth, I’m saving money, and the level of service has been fantastic. Very happy so far and would definitely recommend IDNet.
