Local company, all staff - including office - were friendly and polite. Everyone that was working here worked together as a team getting my solar panels fitted as well as heat pump and air conditioning. My home was left clean and tidy. I am really happy I chose Impact.

This review is separate from the one I posted for Impact’s excellent recent installation of our Powerwall and PV array.

Regarding this separate project, Impact have been tremendously helpful, both practically and administratively, in the reconfiguring of another Powerwall installation I’m associated with. Impact had no obligation to get involved and would have been justified in not doing so, but they fully engaged with the project using their in-depth knowledge of Tesla systems and have gone way beyond what I’d asked for. I’m extremely grateful for the assistance that many members of Impact's staff have freely given; the project would have been impossible without Impact’s input.

I continue to recommend Impact Services without reservation.

What a fabulous Company. Polite, knowledgeable, efficient and ultra speedy. They knew exactly how to achieve what we wanted to achieve, asked for the information they needed and just got on with the job. Absolutely superb. We have seen some negative reviews but we can honestly say that the service we received was first class from start to finish. We had no issues with communications or with the work carried out. It was all to a high standard. The system installed was 22 solar panels and 2 Fox batteries and an inverter which are all working perfectly. Everything was explained to us and we couldn’t be happier with the service from this company.

My experience with this company was far from 5 star, so maybe I was just unlucky. I agreed to the quotation but had to arrange mains isolator switch to be installed beforehand. This took a couple of attempts with Octoplus Energy as the first engineer arrived after the arranged appointment time. Not the fault of Impact. Another date was arranged several weeks hence but this was cancelled and finally got a date much earlier than this. Incidentally, another date was cancelled because my surname matched someone elses, and they sent an installion date to me in error. Three days before installation, my installation was cancelled. Apparently my supply is such that I would not get the savings anticipated. I have a three phase supply with economy 7. I no longer use E7 for storage heaters since we now have oil heating. All this information was available to Impact at the outset and I do not understand why this could not have been made clear at the time of first contact. Apart from anything else, one would have thought that a system that actually did use storage heaters with E7 would have been the ideal one to take advantage of solar energy, but alas not so according to Impact. I am a little bit sceptical about the reasons for cancellation, but I give credit to them for not going ahead with the installation if it has saved me money. I guess many other companies would have gone ahead anyway. I just wish Impact had not messed me around for several weeks having had all the required information available to them right from the start.

Excellent service throughout the entire process of installation of our solar panel/battery system. Initial comprehensive survey of our property. Rapid response to all our concerns followed by very efficient installation.

I was thinking of getting a Home Battery to work with my solar. Gary from Impact Services came to see me. After a discussion, he advised me that I didn't need home batteries. It was very nice to meet a company that didn't try and extort a lot of money, when I didn't need it.
Although I haven't used them, I would recommend them for their honesty.

By the time I had done all my research, I was petrified about installing solar energy! I was too scared to install solar panels having learned about all the technical failings, the sham companies, the cowboy installers!
Impact came through trumps despite all my misgivings. I wish I could remember the names of all the people involved but each and every person involved rose to above and beyond!

Now I just love going on to the digital link and working out how to maximise my electricity usage, when best to run my household at nil cost, mindful of the weather etc!

Impact have recently installed solar panels and a battery system into the house. From initial contact, survey, ongoing contact and information about the steps I had to take through to installation the firm have been first rate. All the staff I have had contact with are knowledgable, patient at explaining things, friendly and highly professional. I couldn’t single out any one person as this would be unfair, everyone played their part to provide a true team approach to customer service. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone considering solar energy.

Excellent service from start to finish. Clear information provided and any queries answered promptly. Thorough discussion prior to giving quotes to ensure I was purchasing what was best for my property for both current electricity need and expected future need. Minor changes I requested after accepting quote easily added. A very professional service and I recommend Impact to anyone considering solar.

A very positive experience. Impact Services did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. They were polite, professional and capable. Queries were answered promptly. From the initial survey to the installation, I had confidence in their knowledge and skills.

Gemma and I moved into our dream home in November, and from the start it was really important to us that any solar installation would be cosmetically pleasing, installed with care, and truly “look the part” on the property.

Callum, the salesperson, was excellent from day one. He was polite, never pushy, and very factual in his approach. As we had only just moved in, we didn’t have clear pre-installation consumption data, so he was realistic about potential savings rather than over-promising. Throughout the whole process, he was simply brilliant.

Myah in the office was equally outstanding. She always answered the phone — before, during, and after the installation. We changed our minds while waiting for G99 export approval, and even on the day of installation when it became possible to fit more panels (which meant needing additional inverter capacity). Each time, Myah responded quickly and handled everything smoothly. I had lots of technical questions after watching various YouTube videos about system features, and she always came back promptly with clear answers.

The roofing team, Kaine and Haiden, were the real standout — the crown jewels of the project. Once the rails and panels were installed, their role was technically complete, but Kaine clearly took pride in the final finish. He stayed to actively support the electrical team, which helped keep the installation on schedule and ensured cables were neatly concealed. Even with a new rule change requiring a 10mm gap between panels — and without having a jig available — he still managed to achieve a very clean, professional look.

The electrical installation carried out by Joe and Jude was also excellent. The scope of work proved too much for the planned two days, and Joe returned alone on day three to finish the job. Despite a few setup challenges — largely caused by my own late design changes — he remained patient, methodical, and determined to get everything working perfectly. He demonstrated that Impact isn’t just about fitting systems quickly; they genuinely care about getting things right.

Final thoughts: solar is a long-term investment, and it needs to integrate seamlessly with your home while being robust enough to stand the test of time. Impact clearly understands this, and their workmanship reflects it. They didn’t just install a system — they delivered an experience, and it’s fair to say they’ve truly left a lasting Impact.

Chose Impact Services for solar PV installation, very happy with price, responsiveness, speed of delivery on the job, communication. Very professional local firm, would definitely recommend. They beat Octopus on price and on customer service in my experience.

I have had an overall very positive experience with Impact. Very happy with my system and I would recommend the company to anyone considering a Solar PV installation.

I do not recommend this company.
Whilst installation was competent they now fail completely to deal with an ongoing problem seemingly caused by the second battery that they were so happy to install. The so called technical team have clearly failed to understand the problem and attempt to pass blame to the manufacturer is unprofessional.
(Oh and don’t bother to try to contact the MD despite his inspiring biog).
