I had the worst experience with this school. I should have read the reviews before signing up. They immediately contacted me upon submitting my information online, like literally within 5 minutes or less. As soon as I am bound to their financial choke hold, nobody would call me, emails went unanswered, telephone #'s would lead to other lines and a voicemail would open up, never allowing enough time to leave a message.

My thoughts before even considering going to school online was how is this going to be and is it even worth it. I thought it would be a piece of cake with it being online, and not as hard as going to actually school (sitting in a class room). I can honestly say this experience is the same and challenges you just as you would be in a class room setting. The help that you get it on a one on one bases which for some is great as well as needed. If you are ready to learn and willing to do the work Independence is the University for you. the teachers are not just teacher but motivators.

My experience and time at Independence University were great. I had great instructors, a great Student Service Advisor, Financial Aid Advisor, and Career Service Advisor. The only thing I think they should change is to make sure their Externship Site Coordinators are honest with the students about any time missed during the externship. However, I would still encourage anyone that is thinking about going to college online to speak with Independence University because you will not find the wonderful resources they offer at any other college.

IU was an outstanding school to attend. I completed all the lectures on my own time and got help on my own time. All the instructors I had were exceptional and helped me in any possible way they could. I gained more knowledge than I thought I would. I worked hard and have now graduated with honors Alpha Beta Kappa and Summa Cume Laud. Thank you to all the staff and instructors at IU for your help!!!

This was a great school. If you ever need help along the way, all you need to do is ask and someone is there willing to help you.

I believe that Independence University is a great school and helped me achieve a life long goal of completing my degree. I would recommend this school to others. I am also considering going back and getting my Master's with them, I will let you know about that endeavor also. I only gave three stars because they kept asking me for a reciew.

Overall I am impressed. Although, when you have motivated and serious students arm them with knowledge other than school rules and what is required from then. Please make this mandatory upon entrance of school. For example, when a student reaches out or shows signs of struggle. Inform students they have a team of advocates working for their success. Adjust their scheduled classes accordingly. Instead of allowing them to fall juggling 2 or 3 classes o MOD. BE PROACTIVE. We all know how hard it is to dig yourself out of a hole.

I had bad experiences with the way the staff handled things was unprofessional at times and there's many times where the team assigned to me was unresponsive.

IU has amazing instructors who are always available. IU has an amazing support system with student advisors, instructors, career services, tutors and so many others that are at our disposal at anytime. IU wants you to succeed and will do whatever it takes to help you succeed. Best thing I ever done was enrolling in Independence University!

My experience with Independence University has been awesome, the entire staff, instructors, academic, career advisors were understanding gave great advice when I at times was really going downhill, and I thank everyone who encouraged me not to give up, and I am so happy that I didn't give up. I would recommend Independence University to any of my family, and friends to give Independence University a try. I am grateful that I picked to attend Independence University, Thank you to all. I will give Independence University 8 stars, keep up the great work as a university.

What a great opportunity! Great staff and very helpful when needed. They go out of their way to support you no matter the situation. They really what you to succeed. Affordable and they even give you a laptop. I learned a ton and will be able to apply what I’ve learn in a practical sense to my job.

I gave 5 stars, because my experience with the university was overall great. I feel like I didn’t get the full experience because we had to do the online residency, which is understandable. I didn’t like the financial aid services or externship process however, but overall I had a great experience and I’m glad I chose this school.

I think overall, many of the instructors love their job and strive to help students succeed. I would say my biggest problem I had with the lectures was Design history. A question that stated "What would YOUR life be like before American Imperialism" I am a Black American and the level of disrespect to my culture was astronomical and should be reevaluated to be removed from the lecture program. Another issue for me was the YouTube experience. If I wanted to subscribe to adobe and go on YouTube I could learn the same thing I learned during my experience here. I would have preferred a teacher-made video. It's easier but to be a for-profit institution at least make instructor videos even if some are reused. 7/10 definitely would recommend overall.
