Total scam. Ran a background check on someone. Said it cost $1.00 for a pdf of the report. Was charged $1.00 but never got a pdf. Was immediately charged $3.99 for what I assume was a subscription I never signed up for. Still no pdf report. Next few days I got emails saying my report was ready and to pay another $1.00. Today i got charged $29.47 for something, i don't even know what for. Luckily I used PayPal. Got my $1 and $29.47 back almost immediately. The $3.99 is pending, I assume because I submitted my refund request as it being a subscription. Maybe that triggers a longer investigation. Anyway, avoid information.com like the plague.

I am so very disappointed and not receiving my purchase. I ordered two pair of women’s indoor outdoor sparkling shoes at nine dollars apiece. I bought two pair one black and one white that was in March. This is April going into May. I still have not received any information or heard from this company anymore so disappointed never ORDER🎁 online.

I went to this site to attempt to look up someone who had scammed me. I typed in the persons information that I knew. Then all of their color and "extensive" search began. During this time it flashed up on the screen that they "Information.com" were finding all kinds of information on the subject. At the end of the dog & pony show, it offered me a great deal, just $1 for the report. Just put in your CC information, so I did. Then it said to be able to download the information in a PDF format, just another $3.99, again to which I agreed. Once the transaction processed, it to me to the finding to which they discovered, which there was NOTHING! I got scammed for $5. Okay, I agreed to, so be it. So I just cancelled my membership. I soon discovered they really don't cancel it, they keep your CC on file and will not remove it from their site. Called customer service, 45 minute wait to speak with someone and they were useless and also refused to remove it, after I made the request. They are data brokers, selling your information, guaranteed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I had to end up canceling me CC and have a new one reissued, with a new number. I was not going to allow my financial info stay with them forever!

Wish I could give it a -5 because I would. Charged my card twice after I cancelled them. I didn't get the information that I asked for but still charged. Thieves is what they are

Report was ready. Supposed to be FREE. Wanted $1. Immediately after that, they said congratulations you have signed up for reoccurring payments if $29.99!!! I called, I canceled. Will also try and block them off my credit card. Scam to the max!

Total scammers. Impossible to cancel the $35.13 they've charged me the last 4 months even after I contacted them to cancel. Still billing me illegally.

What went wrong? You got to be kidding. They are totally SCAMMERS. They don't just get your $1.00 they automatically get the $3.99 you don't agree to. I blocked them on my cash app. I even asked for it back, the scum had different plans Lucky I did because today they tried to charge me $29.97. Got to like Cash app, it's the best.

I decided to look for an old friend, so I went to Google, Yes, a liberal search engine, they recommended information.com, that should have been my first warning, this place is a total scam, they asked for $1 charge then six different temporary authorizations came up from information.com and Trazi Ventures LLC, also was a $3.99 temporary authorization shows up and on their web page it shows an additional $30.47 charge within the next couple days!
I never authorized these charges other than the $1 and I never signed up for these extra charges.
Why is liberal search engine Google even putting information.com first in line, maybe Google is apart of the SCAM!

i was under the impression of being charged $1. for a background check. i was then charged $29 and some change. Then it did not give me the background check i requested nor was the background check in the history on the actual website. This company is a scam and doesnt even deserve 1 start. They deserve -1billon stars for bullsh!t. i checked my reciept and it does not say i was charged $28 and some change for this bullsh!t.

This is the worst site so be aware! I signed up for the trial subscription for 1.00 to see how accurate the information was and decide if I wanted to spend over 30.00 per month to continue doing business with them. They first charged my card the 1.00 which was expected and then turned around right after that and charged my card the amount for the full subscription. I immediately emailed them saying that I did not authorize them to charge me for the full subscription because I wanted to try it for the 7 days it offered before making that decision and because of that, I wanted to cancel completely! They still have yet to cancel and refund my money they stole! Now let's talk about the information they actually provide! It is not even half right! I ran my own name just to check the accuracy. They had relatives listed of people that don't exist in my family. They have outdated information. There is A LOT of information missing! There is stuff on there that is just completely wrong! I also didn't fill out my profile information right away cause I immediately emailed them so later when I got back on there to try it out, they had filled in some of MY account information themselves with my name being "excuse me" and an address I've never lived at or even heard of before. This is not worth even the 1.00, for the so called trial they say they offer. It's all a lie and contains fake information! Do not waste ur time cause u will regret it!

Information.com is a total scam. They are complete liars and will try to steal your money. I ordered a background check for $.99, and they attempted to charge $35 several times to my account. Luckily, I caught it quickly. Reported them to the bank for fraud.

I did not sign up for this service period. Trying to get my money back.
They have charged $.99,$16.47 twice, and $35.13 4 times!

Absolute nightmare of a company, I really wish I would have researched them here first. Predatory and does not work as advertised. Charges more than advertised, and makes it impossible to unsubscribe without calling or emailing. If they answer the phone or emails... I may just have to cancel my card instead. So many headaches....

Well I was very frustrated trying to even find my so called "report," and after trying to "verify" my email address Idk how many times, I looked at some of the reviews and I didn't feel alone in my futile attempts at just trying to even view it... but I'll add another 1 star to their extensive collection of horrific reviews..
Yeah this company is absolute garbage and I wish I had looked at the reviews first..
Do not look at buying anything on this site unless you like getting robbed.. In fact tell you wat... if u r feelin generous you can send me some money.. I won't promise u anything but a thanks and a have a merry Christmas 2 u all...

They told me they were only charginf 99 cents for one pdf, then charged me $35 a month later for the subscription that I had never enrolled in. I had no idea this was happening.

They don't let you cancel on the website. They only let you cancel on the phone.

If I could give them a lower rating I would. This company is in DIRECT VIOLATION of the "Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act" (ROSCA). This federal law, enforced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), prohibits deceptive practices in online sales involving recurring charges. I clicked on a .99 cent charge for purchasing data on a named person in a form that I filled out... In this particular case it was to get MY OWN Data for the profile URL in order to OPT-OUT from them selling my personal information also by rights which are enforced by law and by Federal Agencies. The ROSCA Law specifically mandates CLEAR Disclosure and EXPRESS INFORMED CONSENT for auto-renewal plans. WHICH Clearly means that it cannot be from clicking on a button for a 'One Time Charge" of 99 cents for the purchasing of one time data file on someone. When I called their customer service the woman working there lied and said they had that I agreed to a subscription with re-occuring charges every month by having it buried in the "Terms Of Service" that I had no choice but to agree to in order to get the data profile on me. Highly Illegal !!! Personally I think this business needs a Class Action lawsuit to teach them not to steal from people.

I only use it 1x I was not able to find any information about the person I was looking for. Never received an alert for them before charging my credit card. I receive one for my bank I called n cancelled I was told they won’t refund my money but I’ll be able to use it for 1 more month. A couple of days later I tried to use it again unable to access it same day I called email was sent from them saying account was cancelled I called again asking for a refund I was told too sorry you are out of luck no refund. I call that a scam they take your money just for trying even if you do not get any results. BIG SCAM

If I could rate nothing u would scam is what they are. Claimed to charge e a dollar the charged me over 50. I reached out to get completely ignored

Information.com states you can get a sample of their services for $.99, just fill out the information requested. However, instead the bank alerted me information.com charged me $39.99. Thankfully, the bank denied the charge.
