Journey Japan eSIM Avis

This is the best eSIM I’ve ever used and is now going to be the go to anytime I’m back in Japan. Super easy set up with clear instructions. Internet access throughout my trip in rural Gunma, Niigata, and Nagano prefectures was superb. Rarely did we not have service. The only criticism I’d have is it could use some sort of alert when you’re nearing the end of your data or some tip on checking how close you are to running out of data. Other than that it was great and I’ll be a repeat customer regardless as I’ve said.

Really helpful and easy to use

Really happy with the Journey Japan eSIM and with their customer support when I needed it. I could not fault them and the plan worked as promised during the 30 days that I was travelling in Japan.

My first experience of an esim. Easy to use, worked upon arrival in Japan and never lagged even during heavy use. Highly recommend

From Kyoto to Sapporo and all the way up to Rishiri island, I never had a network outage, and it was often faster than the hotel's wifi. A great help in getting around the Japanese countryside.

Mostly good cover however there were places I was surprised the signal was week. Bit disappointed that the promos were from 30 days of purchase rather than during the activation period, as I missed out on a lot of them by buying in advance
However relatively easy to use and provided good coverage for the most part, I would consider using them again.

Coverage was phenomenal all over Kyushu, speed was great, was able to connect right away. Will repurchase on the next trip.

Honestly perfect. Always had connection, could instagram, tiktok, map and GPT my way around japan with ease, listen to spotify whenever i wanted and generally move around the country using my phone just like i would at home. Used in Tokyo, Kyoto Kamakura and Kinosaki. No issues. Thank you!

Had zero Internet issues all trip both in the cities of tokyo and osaka and the surrounding more rural areas

Would recommend

Absolutely fantastic! Does what it says on the tin. Fully unlimited as promised

This is a true no limit E-sim, which is great when you travel abroad. 45 GB used in 18 days and no need to worry, even when the hotel networks don't work well!

No location where I did not have a cellular network connection. Granted, we did not travel to a remote location, but still it worked as one would hope.

Will definitely be using this one again when travelling to Japan.

Great service no issues even when I was in more remote locations

I purchased the eSIM. No problems at all. I found the eSIM working as soon as we landed in Tokyo. No problems. I used the data A LOT ! No problems.
So, I have no problems highly recommending Journey Japan eSIM

Easy to use and worked like a charm for the entire vacation

Working great even out here in Tawarayama, super rural. I’m sitting in my traditional ryokan room with great service.

This eSIM was genuinely unlimited as advertised, and I found it very convenient throughout my hiking trip. It offered great service, even in the mountains, and allowed me to stay in contact with people I was travelling with without needing to be close to a Pocket WiFi (which made apps like Life360 much more practical). It lasted the entire duration of my trip, even when I activated it outside of Japan. I highly recommend using this eSIM if you're planning to travel to Japan.

Without a doubt the best eSIM i have tried in Japan.
Im a frequent traveler and usually use eSIMs for my trips and this is the first time i have had REAL unlimited data even tho other companies say they have it, they dont.
Will use again for my next trip

Had a minor issue with set up which was resolved after contacting their support line - coverage and speed was fantastic during my time in Japan. Highly recommended!

Easy to setup before departing, and on arrival everything worked perfectly. Super fast speeds in both Tokyo and Osaka. Will definitely use again next time I return to Japan.

Best E-SIM ever! Used it two times until I got a Japanese number. It worked better than my Japanese number, connected fast and everywhere I went. The pricing is also unbeatable, even though you can get the set-GB ones for 30 days only, not less, it's still cheaper than other company's 15 days plans or whatever. I'm sure it's the same for the unlimited ones. Great deal, great service. You can feel that the company tried to fix a real issue instead of simply opening to earn more money. You can feel the care. Will continue to recommend this one.
