Out of stock

Waited 6 days from order to tell me you were out of stock of what I’d ordered and then waiting for money to be credited back to my account.

Unfortunately, the stock for your order was due into us and we had intended to dispatch your order just one day later than originally planned. Regrettably, the stock then failed to arrive with no explanation from our supplier. We also made further efforts to source additional pallets from an alternative supplier, however we were unsuccessful.

We completely understand your frustration regarding the delay in communication and the inconvenience of waiting for your refund, and we sincerely apologise for letting you down.

I ordered on Tuesday they shipped on…

I ordered on Tuesday they shipped on Wednesday I received today Thursday still kinda wish they had a DPD delivery option I'm happy with my experience and minimal packaging method was good sent in the box the maker put the product in unlike some other companies that give extra boxes

Placed my first order last week

Placed my first order last week - good range of products and fairly reasonable pricing - easily get through if need to contact customer services - delivery service within a couple of days which is adequate, and free if ordering enough - only downside is you don't know what time of day they are delivering and if you are a closed outlet on the fixed delivery days you can't plan your day as you need to get it inside and secure, so one answer is a lockable safe place and put instruction on the order for the driver (which i have done), or a phone call from driver - all in all started well

Stock

Ordered some fizzy drinks, paid for and received email to say DPD was expecting my order. Following day received an email from sellers to say unfortunately the fizzy drinks were out of stock and a full refund would be made.
Received refund straight away.
A bit disappointed

good products lousy website

Brooks website has to be the most god awful of any online retailer I have encountered.
items are not where you expect to find them and often times are not in stock even though you can add them to your cart.
this has happened 2 times to me now.
even when trying to order a few things I had a message that they could not deliver to my post code and to contact customer services if I had ordered in the past - which I had sucessfully.
so I called CS and a lovely and helpful lass told me it was a known bug and to remove 1 item - refresh and then add in the item again and it should go through.
well it took 3 or 4 attempts and eventually it held and I was able to order.
not without trying a paypal pay in 3 first which did not want to incude the vat so knowing that would fail I came out and just did it all in one go payment instead.
a day after the order I received a message that one item was not in stock and refund made.
no thought of contacting me to see if a replacement could be made and the orginal cost paid - also had to pay 10quid for delivery and since the item removed was 24 cans of soda it did go through my head if that would have meant a lower delivery cost.
overall not a great experience but at least everything I did order arrived pretty quickly - thanks to DPD and in 3 boxes so I did not feel to bad about the delivery cost in the end.

Unfortunately, in this instance we sold through the clearance stock before the online stock levels could be adjusted. It can also be difficult when customers are able to walk in and collect from site, which can sometimes create a time lapse before the online figures update. I’m very sorry this affected your order.

I also apologise for the problems you encountered with the website and the postcode error. This is a known issue that we are working to improve, and I’m glad our customer service team were able to help you get the order through, even though it clearly took more effort than it should have.

Regarding the out-of-stock item, I’m sorry that we did not contact you to discuss an alternative before issuing the refund. Your feedback is very helpful and we will certainly take this on board to improve how we handle these situations in the future.
Thank you again for your feedback and for your order. I’m pleased that the rest of the items arrived quickly, and we do appreciate you giving us a try despite the issues you experienced.
