As a teacher at TutorABC, I am most impressed with the Diverse topics and teaching materials as well as Ongoing training in both professional and personal development. I really enjoy the flexibility that this job allows me as someone that travels often. Additionally, I enjoy that the pay is based on experience and there are many different avenues of teaching you can do with different age groups. There are additional free courses to further your progress as well.

I've been with the TutorABC company for quite some time actually since August 2015. I was so good, I was made into a Senior Consultant, and a Master Demo Consultant.
I was even selected to go to Shanghai to help them set up the Demo section of the company. I went back to Taiwan section of the group, invited by Jacko Chang, on the understanding I would regain my status, but that never happened. He then left the company when we got new management. and directors.
In those years the company has undergone many changes and continued to evolve and keep up with the industry trends. Sadly, since last September I have watched my hours and income dwindle to 35% of what I used to have. Maybe it's because of algorithms and Ai who knows?
The communication system was changed, and the only form of communication is now by internal emails. Before that we used to have Tutorchat, so if you had any problem, you had the ability to contact them immediately.
Today, teachers get to have schedule flexibility, (but we always have), along with opportunities for professional development and growth.
Whilst I have been in this teaching drought, I have completed many of their educational courses I am still awaiting hopefully to see if things improve!
Sadly, when you are booked for eleven hours and only have two or three scheduled, it does depress you.
I am looking forward to seeing what the future brings. Remember you are consultant, so there are no benefits.
TABC has always looked after it's consultants, but shouldn't they? Richard Branson the English billionaire says" Staff should always come first-before the customer". Sadly, as a consultant, we are not treated as well as the full-time staff. I hope and pray that TABC will prove me wrong.

I’ve been working as an online teacher with TutorABC for over a year now, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding experience! Before the pandemic, I taught in a traditional school, but moving to online teaching with TutorABC has been a fantastic transition, and I’m so glad to be part of this company.
One of the things I love most about working for TutorABC is how much they invest in their teachers. The onboarding process was thorough, and the training they provide is top-notch—honestly, sometimes it feels like there’s almost too much training! They cover everything from how to use the platform to advanced teaching techniques, which really sets you up for success. As someone who was new to online teaching, I felt fully prepared to start teaching right away. The platform itself is so easy to use, with great interactive tools that make lessons engaging for both me and my students.
The flexibility is another huge perk. I can set my availability to fit my schedule, which has been a lifesaver. TutorABC does an amazing job of allocating students from their large global pool, so I get to teach learners from all over the world. ***A Deceptive Sham of a Company - Liars & Censorship When You Seek Reasoning or Clarification***
First off, they claim a quick response time in reference to your application (1 week). This is the first lie, as it took nearly a month and multiple emails; some of which were never responded to. Then, during the interview, and after expressing my concern relating to the company I was currently working with, I was told that despite my concerns, I had nothing to worry about and that TutorABC was a much better choice and a good company to work for by the interviewer - stating that hours would not be a problem and that the pay was substantially better.
Let me just say, as I'm sure many of you can relate...It's not a good feeling to be lied to, to your face, and deceived in a manner of giving up a more stable job, based on someone's word. Thirdly, I had to wait a month before having my first class - one that pays a mere $12/hr. (I say an hour because the class was 45 minutes + 10 minutes early entry + an extra 5 minutes to do the reports...so yes, an hour for $12, despite how the company wants to spin it while the 25-minute classes pay $8...do the math and tell me if it adds up and aligns with the other base pay). Then, they spit on me more by giving me another single 45 min. class a few days later. I'm sure you can imagine how insulted and disrespected I felt at this point. So I reached out to the Teacher Community and asked for clarification as to why the rate of pay doesn't align with the 25-minute classes, only to have them delete my post and censor me without even bothering to message/email me addressing my concern, eventually banning me for yet again reaching out to the teacher community when they were unresponsive themselves.
Who is the interviewer you may ask...?? I only wish I could remember his name, so as to put him in the spotlight. From our brief meeting, all I remember is that his name starts with a 'T' and he had dark hair.
This company is not credible, dependable, or honest. They lie to you, censor you, and treat you like a worm beneath their shoe. I have worked for many ESL companies over the years, and while each has its own faults, none have been as horrible as this company. Remember, if a company is paying their employees to leave good reviews, how can you possibly trust its credibility or the supposed 4 or 5-star reviews. Believe me when I say they are a terrible company to work for and you mean nothing to them. And for those of you who may question my review, ask yourself this..."Why would he take the time to write such a detailed review, if he was being dishonest...why wouldn't he write a short review and give a poor star if his intent was simply to discredit this company..?"
I am writing this review in hopes that you will heed my words and stay clear of this company so that you may avoid the pitfall that I fell into. Trust me, search elsewhere -- there are so many better ESL companies out there.
*Also something to bear in mind - this company is offering 'the chance' to win $100 in a raffle if the teachers who work here give good reviews. So, don't believe every good review you read about this horrible company!

Don't fall for the guise, because if you're truly a reputable company, you shouldn't need to bribe your employees to get good reviews.

I have been part of TutorABC for more than seven years, and my experience has been incredibly positive. Like any organization, there's always room for growth, but TutorABC truly excels in its commitment to improvement and reaching new heights. My time as a teacher here has been filled with wonderful memories, and the supportive community of educators is always willing to assist, especially representatives like Marko Ilic, who has been a great help to me. Overall, I highly recommend this company and am excited about the prospect of another decade here!

I worked for tutorABC for over 3 years At first it was great , lovely staff, students and good pay I was one of the top rated teachers they used to reward hard working teachers. I had a wonderful time. And I put alot of efforts and supported the company and students during covid provided extra classes and support. After covid, things changed. Someone else bought the company They stopped caring about us teachers I felt unvalued and disrespected and they made sure we know that our contracts can be terminated anytime. Feedbacks was unfair and no support was provided regarding feedback students always rights even if students start to swear at the teacher we can't say anything. If we get low rate we get pay cut and penalised for it even if it's not our fault.They kept reducing our wage instead of increasing it and they basically said take it or leave . Even though they nearly cut 40% of my wage I stayed with them for my students and the long time I spent with them. They started to get rid of many amazing teachers who worked for them for many years and start hiring new teachers at lower pay rate. I had to take some time off due to health reason made them aware of it they closed my account and refused to support me in my hard times even Tho we are self employed and we don't get paid for anytime off. I really felt unappreciaed It's a shame it used to be great work place and I still love to be part of it if they start value teachers and change the way they work 😞

I recently deleted my bad review because they got back to me via trustpilot and I felt bad for doubting this company. However, now I am writing a fresh review because it turns out my initial impression was indeed correct.
4 months later and they are still processing my teacher's profile! The first bad review I wrote here was shortly after my interview. They told me they would get back to me in a couple of days, I waited 1,5 month and then found out that they had blocked my email! Meanwhile, the page where my application was being processed was merely stuck. Though I sent multiple emails, all of which were blocked, I wrote a bad review here and then finally heard back from them. My application was processed instantly.
But that lasted for a moment. Since then, it has been another month and my application is now stuck on another page. They have made me go through all the training but never really processed my profile. Also my bank info keeps getting rejected though it is an international bank that works like a charm with all other teaching sites. I have since spent what must have been a total of 3 hours or more watching their training videos over and over again and going through their very limited teacher profile menu to try and find where my schedule is. The teacher's schedule is literally the most basic thing you need.
If you are trying to get an "urgent job" the way this was advertised, do not hold your breath. It is utterly infuriating and extremely dysfunctional. A very simple example of how the platform functions would be me reaching out to one of the staff asking "Where do I go to change my working hours?" and getting the reply "You can change your working hours from the 3rd to the 19th of every month". This reply took 3 days to get to me. If you believe you can make money on this platform, be my guest.
PS: I wish I could share screenshots on trustpilot that prove all that I am saying, but that does not seem to be an option unfortunately.

I've had a wonderful career with TutorABC for a couple of years. They treated me well. I've had plenty of classes and opportunities to grow. I have taught 100s of students which has been a great privilege and pleasure.

I am very satisfied with this platform as a teacher. It allows me to constantly improve my teaching skills through many training courses. Also, the teaching material is always very interesting and useful for students, and there are a lot of emoticons and gifs which can make the lessons even more fun.

I really enjoy working as a teacher with Tutorabc.
Firstly, I can choose my own hours to whatever suits my needs.
Secondly, the support given in forum (and even our own WhatsApp group) is great and it's a very useful way of not just lending support but swapping teaching methods/techniques.
Higher management are very empathetic and respect addressing issues in a timely manner. They are constantly open to new ideas/suggestions by students too!
If you want to feel respected and treated professionally as an ESL teacher, I would recommend Tutorabc 😊

It's so nice being able to work from home. I live in a place with horrible rush-hour traffic, so eliminating the daily commute is a huge bonus. I can make my own schedule, teach different types of classes, gain followers so I have students I see regularly, and there has been some great new P.D. materials. New programs and courses are continually being added and communication with management has improved considerably since the new management took over.
