Kal Tire Avis 

Two of the 4 tires were installed in the wrong direction. Two weeks ago, I had them install 4 new Micheline Cross-climate tires. Brought car in for a new alternator at a garage and they showed me the two tires that were installed incorrectly. For a place that specializes in tires, that means they have staff that are clueless about tires.

This organization operates under the delusion that they are the gold standard, while the competition blows them out of the water in quality, reliability, and basic professionalism. They are nothing more than a money grabbing operation that takes total advantage of their clients constantly blowing past appointments, missing basic punctuality, and delivering mediocre, subpar work.

They claim to want a structured business, but the leadership and staff operate at the absolute bottom tier of work ethics. The management is a complete joke. My manager was hands-down the worst I have ever encountered zero communication, zero coaching, and zero leadership skills. Whenever I asked basic questions, he proved how out of depth he was by pushing me off onto senior salespeople.

The workplace culture is a toxic free for all. Senior salespeople hold petty animosity toward each other, counter staff refuse to support new hires or understand basic operational priorities, and location managers think they can yell at staff and throw "we pay your salary" in your face to cover up for their own miserable personalities and failing locations.

Crooked people running a crooked, deeply toxic business. A total joke of an operation. Avoid this place at all costs.

Utterly incompetent. Had an appointment and were the first people in the store. asked for a simple tire inspection and if the tires failed we would have bought new tires. They told us that they didn't do the inspection and that we had been double booked. So they wanted us to wait another 90 minutes to do what should have been done first thing.

I am shocked and frustrated by two recent experiences with Kaltire on Leckie Road in Kelowna.

As my go to shop for tires and related service, I took my car there last month when one tire showed signs of a slow leak. The tire shop took my car it and proceeded to advise that the “tread was too low to repair but they could sell me new tires.” I too wish to function with safe tires but believed Kaltire to be wrong, and simply drove down the street and had my tire repaired elsewhere. As it felt like Kaltire was underhandedly trying to make a sale, I consulted the vehicles manufacturer on a subsequent service appointment to hear “the tires are fine.”

Today I took my 2022 truck in to have the summer tires / rims swapped and received the same message. I was astonished as both are three years old, were purchased / service at the same location (including when they came off in spring), and have minimal mileage on them with good, visible tread. The storey I received was that “three of four tires had wear on an edge that prevented them from installing.”

Not repairing or installing tires because they too old or unsafe is one thing, but is not the case here. Kaltire is abusing their position in the marketplace

Kal Tire on Merivale delivered exceptional service when we showed up with a flat tire late in the day. We arrived about an hour before closing and spoke with Balmeet, the assistant manager. Even though the team was winding down for the evening, he took the time to listen, assess the situation, and—after a friendly, genuine conversation—agreed to help us out.

Joya, the mechanic, handled the repair quickly and professionally. He found the issue (a nail in the tire) and had everything fixed in roughly 30 minutes.

Their willingness to help, even at the end of their day, and the quality of the repair truly stood out. Thank you, Balmeet and Joya, for your excellent service and kindness. Highly recommended.

They always have to come up with services not needed and their prices 50% more than many shops and that’s just for basic services

Had a flat tire, pumped it up and drove it to Kal Tire, 5 minutes away to have it fixes.
Found nail, claimed tire not fixable tried selling all new tires 2500, couldn't adlfford that right now, ask for air put back in tire, they refused. Good thing I had an air pump in tru k, took it to same shop down the road, they fixed tire and said there was nothing wrong with any of the tires. As kal tire said tire was shot inside, this small shop said nothing wrong with tires, except nail hole.
Can you believe Kal Tire refusing to put air in a tire after they yanked out nail?? Customers needs are NOT PRESENT AT THIS KAL TIRE!
These people tried telling a retired RCMP of 30 years knows nothing about cars and tires. Time for this Kal Tire to formaly re-train its people especially in custom Service. Can not believe they refused to put air back into tire!!!!, After they took nail out and re flattened the tire. Get it together Kal Tire!!

The most honest company I have ever dealt with! Truly a great company.

Sunday august 9/26 have appointment 9:30 am drop my car 9:15am for alignment they said 1.5 hours and will be done
Came back 10:50 am and they didn’t even start?
Asking Trevor Braye why my car is not even started he responded very rude saying he is not working on the car and why I asking him and complaining

Shitty experience, i braught 4 bare rims in with 4 bare tires, they did the first 2 wheels the same day, and its been 4 days since they made any progress.. this is the last time im coming here

Went to kal tire on Barrhead and the new manager was a complete idiot
Did not get my whell alignment cause there was no mechanic there to do it and I was quoted one price and when the job was done it was different asked the manger a couple of questions and he could not answer simple questions without looking at the ceiling first. I guess this happens when a company hires a manger out of Walmart who does not know much about tires
This was the first amd last time that I will ever be dealing with kal tire as far as I am concerned if tou buy 4 brand new tires the wheel alignment should be included

Kal Tire in Nakusp BC offered excellent service and friendly staff! Put new tires on my quad the same day so we could enjoy them the rest of our vacation. Very competitive pricing!

June 8/2026 Went to the Sherwood Park location to get trailer tires changed. I was the only semi truck on the pad in the back and it took 4 hours to change 3 tires. Anywhere else this is a 1 hour job max. Kal Tires commercial service has gone downhill especially at this location

Kal Tire Crowfoot installed 4 brand new tires on my vehicle. My car failed an insurance inspection within a week of Kal Tire installing the tires (hole in the frame). The Kal Tire inspection showed the car was in great shape. They lied. But the lie enabled them to make the sale.

May/26: I made an appointment several days in advance for an oil change at the 155 Crowfoot Way NW, Calgary garage. I received a text msg reminder a day before the appointment. And, on the morning of my supposed appointment, I went an extra step, and phoned the garage to confirm booking. I did this because another Kal Tire garage (14947 Deer Ridge Dr SE) botched/failed to properly reserve my appointment in their system too (back on May, 2023). When I arrived, the front counter rep said they had a record of my requested oil change, but failed to reserve 9am appointment! Attendant's excuse/theory was that maybe the Kal Tire call centre didn't properly book appointment. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRELIABLE, AND PATHETIC!!
** I’M AVOIDING KAL TIRE!! **

We have an account for fleet services with this tire shop we bring in hundreds of veichles here to do tires for both season they provide storage , the attitude is terrible with the staff , last week i had them swap out the winter tires to summer radials . In a few hours i while i was on the field rear passenger side flattened to 23 psi in 2hours , when i call them said bring it back but they want me to leave it there for a day.
This sounded pretty silly as the veichle is beeing used for bussiness and it was difficult me to stay out field and get tire fixed , the bussiness is very busy this time of the year. For more than week i have keep pumping air as i go at gas station so i can serve our customers.
Today may 16th at 8.20 am i walked in
There was a guy at first service desk did not give me welcome at all but he had an attitude, he ordered me to park in different spot , so i did that then i walked in and purposely avoid the first desk and moved to the second desk, for help as we speak the guy who had attitude on the first desk leaned over and barge into the the conversation and told me thta i have to wait more than 3 hours to get a leak fixed. It is very upsetting to me that interfered in my conversation with other service desk rep. The staff here needs to have or trained to be dealing with customers
The service they provide is terrible here
They just mounted four tires and i drive away from the shop tires goes flat , this is an absolute ridiculous , they call them self national tire shop but they cant even see or check the install for leaks or defects . They had the truck from fthursday evening to monday . I have to wait 3 hours to put a plug for leaking tire , enogh is enogh its time to move onto another tire service shop , i will be discussing this with my staff in next meeting and we will move out from here

To begin I was put on hold for one hour to make an appointment. (hung up after waiting about 20 minutes 3x in a row) When finally got through, service desk was rude and dismissive. Finally got appt for brake job and winter/summer change over. I told service desk that two of my summer tires had slow leaks please check for same. When job was done I asked if they checked for leaks. I was told they checked and found none. I knew that couldn't be true. Next day I had two flat tires. They lied. Phoned head office in Vernon to let them know how unsatisfactory this was. I was told that management would phone me. Did not hear back from them. Couple days later bought two new tires. Service desk was rude when paying the bill. Barely a grunt from him. I told them I wanted my two old tires back, and to put them in my box. They were not there when I left. I would have said something but I just wanted to get out of there. What an awful two visits. After paying $2000 dollars for services rendered this is how I was treated. Never again. I won't be back. I wouldn't go there either if I was you.

I have been working with Kal Tire for a very long time. I do my tire rotations with them. It can get crazy busy which means they can’t answer the phone in a timely manner sometimes. Always good service and they definitely upgraded their tea and coffee.

It’s appreciated.

I had a problem with one of my hubcaps coming off and loosing it after a seasonal tire swap. They had me go to Canadian tire and buy a set for which I was reinbursed!
