An excellent key safe, does exactly as advertised. The compartment size is sufficent to accommodate my safe keys which are longer than normal lever lock keys. What more could you ask.

Poor customer service
I bought an Ark Tamo key safe which worked perfectly for a few months before suddenly refusing to open with the correct code last year. It then started to work again, without us changing anything. Then, it refused to work again. It was installed for a vulnerable adult with dementia, whose carers rely on it for access, so this was particularly stressful and potentially serious.
I found the customer service response patronising and unnecessarily confrontational. They required me to grind the key safe off the wall and continuously film the process, including the dials, to prove it was set to the correct code. I did exactly as requested, and the video showed the correct code. They subsequently accepted this and sent me a replacement. They also asked me to return the faulty key safe, which I did.
After receiving it, they emailed me to say that the code on the returned key safe did not match the code I had reported. I pointed out that this was irrelevant: I had already provided video evidence showing the code was correctly set while the key safe was still mounted on the wall and would not open, and they had accepted that evidence by sending a replacement.
Their response was: “This is just for your information, to make you aware so this situation doesn't happen again in the future.” Despite having accepted my evidence, this felt like an unnecessary attempt to imply that I had been at fault.
I am grateful that a replacement was eventually provided, and I had no issue with Jamie, who was helpful. Unfortunately, my experience dealing with Claire was very different. The whole process took considerable time and effort, at a particularly stressful time, and I felt repeatedly patronised rather than supported.
I have also seen another review describing a similar issue, which makes me question whether this is a known fault that needs properly investigating.
The replacement is appreciated, but the way this complaint was handled has completely undermined my confidence in the company. I would not buy from them again based on this customer service experience. It is, sadly, one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.
Update based on the Key Safe Company's response:
This company have stated that the code on the unit was not correct when they received it. But we sent them a video of the Key Safe being cut off the wall and the code was correct at that point. It was irrefutable evidence that while the Key Safe was mounted on the wall it was not opening with the correct code (which we also showed them as part of the video). There was absolutely no need for them to then email us to say when the Key Safe had been received that the code was not correct. It's completely irrelevant. They don't seem to understand their own process. It is the some of worst customer service I have ever experienced. If they can't see what was wrong with their interactions with me, there's not much hope for the customer service of this company. I doubt they even watched the video footage they requested.

We’re genuinely sorry to hear that you were left feeling this way, particularly as we completely appreciate how stressful the situation must have been when the key safe was being relied upon for access to a vulnerable family member.
We would just like to clarify one important point. When the original key safe was returned to us and inspected, the code set on the unit did not match the code that had been provided. This was relevant to understanding why the safe wouldn’t open, and our follow-up message was simply intended to share what we had found and hopefully prevent the same situation happening again with your replacement. It was never intended to place blame.
We’re also sorry that you felt Claire’s communication came across as patronising or confrontational. That certainly wasn’t her intention. She was genuinely trying to help establish what had happened and make sure you didn’t experience the same problem again.
We’re pleased that we were able to provide a replacement and that you found Jamie helpful. It’s disappointing to hear that the experience has stayed with you and affected your confidence in us, but we do appreciate you sharing your feedback and giving us the opportunity to clarify what happened.

Do it yourself
I asked for advice for a replacement cover for a S8 key box, the reply was that nobody knew as it was not on the inventory anymore so I said it was the same proportions as an S6 at which I was to told to order that then! No knowledge, effort or advice to help.

I can see that we responded to your initial query in regards to a replacement weather cover for the S8 keysafe. This is not a keysafe we have ever supplied and to avoid confusion, we did ask for an image of your keysafe so that we can advise which unit it is that you have.
While an image was not provided, you advised us that the sizing is the same as the S6 Slimline keysafe and we provided a link to a weather cover that suits the S6 Slimline.
If the weather cover ordered does not fit the keysafe, please let us know on sales@keysafe.co.uk with a photo of the keysafe and we do our best to help.

Having used a few wall mounted key safes at elderly relations houses that had been sourced from some of the large DIY stores, I was less than impressed by their quality. I wanted to find something better and the Key Safe Company provided a great selection of high quality key safes at competitive prices. Ordering ease and delivery time was excellent.
