Kronos Avis 

Well I decided to make the jump to Kronos as the idea of no ingrowing hairs and cheaper razors tempted me.
I wasn't enjoying the Gillette I was using at the time. That and the Wilkinson Sword cartridges were clogging and I seemed to go through them at a rapid pace. Maybe only shaving once a week wasn't helping as my facial hair can grow fast.
Still I made the leap when I saw what savings I would potentially make.

It arrived fairly quickly. I wasn't waiting more than about 5 days for the order and straight away what I noticed was how heavy the razor was. Yet it feels comfortable in your hand.
Quickly put the blade in and went to work. Took a little getting used to the 30° angle but soon I was making light work of the hair.
It might sound sad to some, but this razor has made shaving a joy and not a chore.
Gillette isn't the best a man can get and Wilkinson Sword might as well shave with one rather than their current range.
I'll be sticking with Kronos from now until the end of my days.

Really prompt delivery. Genuinely so impressed with the safety razor hand and razors. Really lovely close shave. Perfect for newbies but also no real need to upgrade. Outstanding value for money.

I wanted to change from the multi blade/electric razors I have been using since a teenager but was nervous as I have hand tremors due to an illness. However I took my time and using a slow two handed approach it yielded great results. No soreness and I even think the results mean I can go longer between shaves. I’ll be interested in how long each razor takes to go blunt as this is the only unknown quantity at time of writing.

This is a retro experience for me (aged 67) in that my first experience with a ‘safety razor’ in 1968 was with one of these. My face at the time was a bumfluff wilderness when razor cuts were common but I was just grateful that my hormones had kicked in and I was becoming a MAN.
KICK forward nearly 55 years and, in truth, probably prefer the modern 5/6 blade German-made disposable's razors but they are £2 each whereas these are pennies each (albeit made in China). They do scape accross my 67 year old face but provide an acceptable shave - albeit retro- for a very reasonable cost alternative. Try and enjoy!

I was skeptical when i received my razor as the razor came with no blades but 1 message to their customer service and was handled and razor blades arrived in a few days.

First shave will feel different from a normal razor but if you follow there instruction slow and steady. The shave you will get is one of the closest you will get and cleaning out the razor blade is so easy.

Great product and delivered very fast.
You need to learn to use it but it feels like a great shave.

Fast delivery, replied to questions I asked in a timely manner. Closest shave I've had in a long time with no irritation afterwards unlike the 5 bladed razor I used to use.

Great quality! I got the bamboo version and it feels so luxurious. The packaging is cute too (I’m a freak for good packaging). Feels so much better using this knowing it’s sustainable and an amazing independent brand.

I was a bit sceptical of how these would work better than a 3 or 5blade razor but then I had my first shave and it was great my skin was smoother than what I was getting from those blades and just by using the weight of the head seems to be producing a great shave for me.

Quality product, works great, seems legit

These razors are very reasonably priced compared to other similar products viewed online. The manufacturering quality seems high and they come with nice stands.
I bought them because I’m moving away from cartridges for environmental reasons. Using single blade razors is more sustainable and cheaper.
I like the fact that with the Kronos razor you are not tied into a specific brand of safety blade.
The company were quick to answer a couple of stupid questions after purchase so full marks there.
Two suggestions to the company:
a) it would be nice to have an in-house recycling scheme for used blades.
b) the razors are short on accessories. I could do with some razor guards to protect the blade when travelling.
I’ll very likely use this company again.
