They will not notice when they will charge you. They will not tell you how much they will charge. They will only attempt to charge you, and if your balance has insufficient balance, there is no way you can manually pay it. Then they will ban your account, remove all your data and model, even you put your money back and finished the payment. You will get a receipt, but all data and model, gone.

And they have a very rude support to handle your case. DO NOT USE this company to train your model. It is a trap.

Using the service initially was fine, they had an issue with payment (I had set it up and had the test payment go through fine so not sure what the issue was) they did not contact me they just automatically banned my account and shut all my instances down. I contacted support within a couple of hours of this occurring and was told that I would have lost my data from the instances (somewhat expected as they shut them down) but they also shut down my filesystem so I lost all the persistent data too, meaning that all the work I did was lost. I understand shutting instances down but I think keeping the longer term storage for at least for a day would be reasonable to give someone a chance to remedy any payment issues and access the data. The lack of any communication about the payment issue is astounding. I won’t be using them again as I won’t be able to trust that my data will be accessible, I’ve now wasted 20 hours of compute on data that’s just disappeared.

SCAM! AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I thought I might try them out with a spot instance. As soon as they got my card number they started making charges to my credit card that I did not authorize. had to tell my bank to freeze the account to avoid further charges. SCAM AVOID AT ALL COSTS

attempted to close my Lambda.ai account and remove my payment method, and the experience was extremely poor. Support took a long time to respond, and even when they finally replied, they were unable to close the account from their side. I had to open multiple tickets within the same hour because nothing was getting resolved.

I also tried to close the account myself by deleting the file system, but the website kept freezing and becoming unresponsive every time. After all of that, the account still wasn’t closed and the payment method couldn’t be removed. Overall, a frustrating and time-wasting experience. I cannot recommend this service.
