Lanterna was established in Stockholm in 2004. Over the years we have helped thousands off IB students across the globe achieve their academic goals, gain entry to top universities, and establish learning habits which have set them up for a bright future. We do this in two ways: by offering tutoring from our extensive network of tutors and by supporting schools with online teachers of the IB curriculum. Tutoring is either individual or on a targeted revision course and is always delivered by carefully selected tutors who have graduated from the IB with top marks. We take care to match students with a tutor who will help unlock their academic potential, and provide inspiration, tips and guidance based on their recent experience of the IB curriculum.

Good preparation for IB with great tutors
My two children have had very good experiences with Lanterna in preparation for the IB. Our older one was also with Lanterna in Bradfield before Corona for a 3-week preparatory course and came back very enthusiastic. Support is always friendly, helpful and looking for suitable solutions. We can absolutely recommend Lanterna for the IB preparation.

The tutors are organized at all times and teach in a way i can fully understand the concepts. For instance i got great help for my Maths IA from my tutor, as i was completely lost and didn't even know where to make a start.

I had Joshua Yacoub as my math tutor…
I had Joshua Yacoub as my math tutor for more than a year. He brought my grade from 2 to a 7 in no time. He was an absolutely amazing teacher, no one has ever compared to him and no one will, because Joshua can solve any issue that can come up in your lifetime. He is an absolute savior, he is God, and most importantly- he is the moment. Excellent, amazing, wonderful teacher. A 10/10 experience. Would recommend this tutor to everyone, it feels like he can teach math and sciences to my pets and they will understand.

Unreliable tutor
Mixed experiences ; one of the tutor was unreachable the week before the IA was due, without letting us know. We could not get a refund for the unperformed job.
We had better experiences with other tutors.

Easy-to-arrange and reliable help with IB-related problems

Excellent, as usual. We have been using Lanterna for tutoring lessons in IB economics and maths. Tutors are assigned and get in touch very quickly. They are always highly knowledgeable and caring. Highly recommended!

Prompt, flexible, and personalised support
We contacted Lanterna for assistance with an IB Internal Assessment. We were impressed with the speed with which we were assigned a tutor and my daughter was able to begin working with that tutor. We have also been impressed with how helpful and flexible the tutor has been, and how she has tailored her support to my daughter's individual needs and time commitments. We will definitely consider Lanterna again if support is required to get past some of the hurdles of IB, and would highly recommend them to others.

Excellent experience and great results
The response to our inquiry was quick and the tutor assigned was great. My daughter and the tutor we able to customize the sessions to get the most out of them. The tutor was very knowledgeable and very good at communicating with my teen.
We did approximately 20 hours of IB Math A&I HL as a catch-up in preparation for the final year of IB.
