Fiona is an exceptional teacher—dedicated, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about her work. We feel very fortunate to have her supporting our son with his IB English, and we are incredibly grateful for the positive impact she has had.

Firstly, the customer service was excellent. I had Jethro Smith as my customer service agent, and he was very helpful and flexible with my request, even helping me to change tutors, etc.

However, my actual tutoring experience was very subpar.
1. The tutor, when teaching, was just reading from a textbook word-for-word at a very fast pace, becoming very robotic.
2. The tutor did not understand the content. When asking questions, it is evident that the tutor has to input the question into the AI and receive an answer. Every time a question was asked, there would be a pause, and then the tutor typed the question back into the AI and then waited around a minute for the AI to respond with an answer. One time I asked a simple question, and we waited for around 15 minutes because their AI was not working. I believe this is disingenuous, as I myself can also input questions into AI. It is important for the tutor to actually know what they are teaching.
3. They did not know the specific IB syllabus; it is advertised that the tutors are familiar with the specific syllabus they are teaching. However, this tutor did not provide specific information, often teaching content from past syllabuses or other exam boards, which is a problem when you are studying for an exam.

Because of the points listed above, I believe tutorchase tutoring is not worth the money, keeping in mind I paid £730 for the tutoring. What I received was a tutor who did not understand the material and had to constantly resort to AI for help. While there are some areas where the tutor understood, the majority of the time, teaching or answering questions, it would be read from AI or a textbook.

Skylar has been a great help when revising for the Economics A-levels. Her lessons are well-structured, and she covers the topics in-depth, with examples and goes beyond the syllabus if necessary. She is very flexible with the scheduling ;)

I have studied chemistry sl with Batool for quite some time now and it was honestly worth it my grade went from a 4 to a 7. Also Michael has been a great help with the entire process of finding good teachers and everything!

I looked into tutorchase for my younger sister as she was having a hard time communicating her questions and confusions at school. Michael was in touch with me throughout the whole process, I talked to him about our main priorities with tutoring and he suggested a tutor that he thought what be a good match, and he was right! My sister adjusted really well to the tutor (Hamilton) and we’ve seen improvement even when she does her independent revision. I’d definitely recommend tutorchase; clear communication, Michael particularly checks in to make sure if there any concerns and if it’s all going well. We’ve had a pretty solid experience.

I've been doing the IB and struggled with Maths AI HL. I found Andrei especially helpful here, as he managed to explain complex topics to me in a simple, understandable way. Even if you still haven't understood it the first time, Andrei always tries to find another way to explain the topic. I am very grateful for his effort to line out some of these technical parts into understandable topics .
