Leaders - Cambridge Avis 

I have had a mixed experience with Leaders. I have had to deal with various different people, departments and locations through the process of setting up and continuing as a Landlord. This can feel unnecessarily complicated and is frustrating when accurate information is not passed on. However, my current property manager, Tikal Betz, is always happy to help and has shown good attention to detail even when clearly under time pressure. Leah Brazier has also been helpful and responsive when I have raised queries.

The property manager Tikal Betz is passionate about her job. She was prompt in helping us with all of our issues during the rental process. The professionalism of her services can be trusted!

Leaders has managed our property for nearly 14 years and as an overseas owner, I rely on email communication exclusively. I have been frustrated over the years to not have a specific contact name and email address to deal with and instead having to just send things to a central inbox. Recently Tikal Betz became the property manager and the level of service has improved greatly. I now have an actual point of contact who is responsive, effective and a pleasure to deal with.

Very efficient and trustful agency, resolving any issues quickly and effectively. Property manager Tikal Betz was especially helpful in arranging new rent documents, helping with the organising repair in the flat. Worth it to trust 👍🏻

Leaders is very much a business, with a business model. As an overseas property owner I rely on Leaders to manage everything. Most of the time it goes OK. When I visited the office it was apparent that staff are under a lot of work pressure. There is no central person to deal with, needing to communicate with a variety of people for the different aspects of the property management. However, Tikal Betz and Clare Wraith have been particularly helpful and friendly. If in doubt, I contact them and they help sort out my issues. Thank you!

Over the past 2 years, Leaders have done a great job at managing the tenancy and the property. Specifically, Ms Clare Wraith was always responsive to my emails and very happy to help with any issue! She's managed to turn a usually stressful experience into a stress-free journey. Many thanks!

Alfie (our property manager) is always quick to respond and keen to help. Really nice experience with leaders.

There were some minor issues in the flat I moved in recently which were sorted out with a help of Alfie, who is managing this property. Alfie was very helpful and efficient in arranging maintenance works. Moreover, the contractors from D C Maintenance, Danny and Charlie, not only sorted out all issues but have done extra work that wasn't planned to make sure the flat is clean and tidy :)

As landlords we have had problems with Leaders suddenly adding extra charges and also generally a lack of attention to detail . I find myself having to be on top of everything to make sure nothing is missed which kind of defeats the purpose of a fully managed service. However on the positive side Tikal is always very responsive and helpful when I have been in contact.

Leah from Leaders was very helpful in handling our rental process from start to finish. She is also responsive in answering our requests. Thank you very much.

Leaders is one of absolutely appalling letting agencies around.
As a landlord I was treated very badly. They never listened to my concerns or acted in my interest although they took 12% of the monthly rent for their “services”
They were only interested making money and were overcharging me for services I already paid for, didn’t need any of hem and weren’t answering to complaints.
The general manager Andrew Lay is appalling person without ounce of decency and sense of good business ethics.
My complain was left unanswered for 4 months and I made appointment to see them in person, which gas refused as Ms Lay was too busy to see me. We had agreement that they have to ask me for approval if the repairs were exceeding £250, which I was never asked for approval and final price was £2570 for changing the seal of the water spout and cleaning the bathroom overflow pipe.
I got in contact with the workman who told me that his quote was £780 plus VAT.
Rest was Leaders top off charge. I asked for explanation but never got any streat answers from Andrew Lay.
They kept two of the monthly rents and in the end I took them to the Ombudsman ( TPOS) and changed letting agency.
Appalling behaviour and in a business to rip off tenants and landlords alike.
AVOID BY ALL COST

The Cambridge letting market is very difficult at the moment, but Amy really put an extra effort to help me find alternative proprieties when offers were not being accepted. After several tries and offer placements that lasted around 3 months, Amy finally helped us secure a great property for me and my brother . We are very grateful for her support, and hoping to maintain a good experience through out the rental period. Kudos to Amy :)

Clare and Tanya were fantastic in turning round works prior to our move in in short notice due to other matters. Proactive with the go between Landlord and Tenant. Thank you.

I have been renting with leaders for the last year and the property manager Andre was really helpful throughout the tenancy

Leah has been great in keeping me (guarantor) up to date with the progress of the application and has managed to complete the process in ample time despite her busy schedule. Hoping the tenants have an even greater customer service experience during their tenure.

Clare wraith and her team were very attentive and caring throughout my stay with Leaders. Every query was answered quickly and effectively.

Managed our property for 20 years and would recommend. All agents especially over the last few years have been in regular contact looking after our property while we have been living abroad keeping it in good repair and notifying us promptly with any issues. The transition to move back into our home has been handled great by our latest property manager Tikal Betz.

We rented with Leaders for about 3 years. It's obviously not easy to leave all parties happy all the time, but I believe Leaders was most of the time very fair, and I would recommend the company. We would have stayed with them but the Landlord wanted to gain possession of the property. Tikal Betz helped us with the end of the tenancy and she was very responsive, efficient and helpful.

As I said, overall we had a very good experience with them.

Good service - I would have liked them to be more proactive in terms of repairing the utilities and cleaning service.

Very eager and proactive in seeking to let our house. Professional and very quick at finding prospective tenants. Also accommodated our need to complete works on the house. A great team in the Cambridge Hills Road office. They seem to have good sources of professional tenants.
