My partner and myself have been…
My partner and myself have been patients for several years always good service.
However, recently my partner complained her eyes had suddenly blurred. Phoned Addlestone branch to see if someone could check her, told no chance fully booked for day.
Suggested we go to A&E, what a laugh, queue for there went outside department, five hour wait.
Told by Addlestone receptionist we could have an appointment for the next day, but would cost £99 as it would be classed as an emergency.
VERY disappointed with that response, not what I expected from them.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about your recent experience and understand how concerning sudden changes to vision can be.
We take our duty of care to every patient extremely seriously. Our appointment schedule includes specific time slots to ensure our optometrists can carry out thorough examinations safely and responsibly. Rushing a sight test to accommodate another patient could result in important clinical aspects being missed, which would not be in the best interests of a patient’s eye health and would not reflect the professional standards we work to.
When urgent symptoms are reported and we do not have safe capacity to see a patient on the same day, we may advise alternative urgent care options to ensure the patient can be assessed as quickly as possible.
We are genuinely sorry that this situation left you feeling disappointed, particularly after many years of being a valued patient. Your feedback is important to us.

Great service
The staff at Leightons was very friendly and very helpful. Veronica, the optometrist done a very thorough exam and explained everything to me very clearly. There was some affordable frame options too.

Outstanding service
Whilst it’s quite daunting to realise that one needs glasses, the service I received in the Addlestone store made me feel at ease and confident that I wasn’t just another punter to make money off of.
The Leighton’s staff were all very well presented and the store was spotlessly clean.
A great experience of how customers should be treated.
Highly recommend Leighton’s in Addlestone, and if all the shops are to the same standard, I strongly suggest that you visit them rather than other companies that advertise a lot.

Extra patience and kindness
Having been to Audiology at the local hospital twice and 2 other hearing places I was recommended Leightons Addlestone.
Dino was so patient and kind and realised the problem I had been having and was able to give me the right aids to suit my hearing.
