The eye test procedure very good - dispensing service poor
The eye test procedure went very well with good advice from Claire the optometrist. However the dispensing service was poor. The price of frames was significantly higher than elsewhere. So I have taken my eye test prescription to another opticians and received excellent service.

We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the prices during your frame selection and dispense. We offer a range of frames starting from £99+ to make glasses as accessible as possible.

Great, friendly service
The staff are always friendly, helpful, seem trustworthy, and accommodating. I have moved away from the area but haven't found an alternative service that I prefer so I keep going back. Even they think it's strange!

Went for an early check up and they identified a small ear infection so recommended to go to GP. Overall customer service was amazing and great to see a family run business on the high street. Highly recommend this place

Really must provide customers with WiFi.
The phone signal in the Lewes shop is almost non-existent and it doesn't have WiFi for customers. This makes waiting for your wife to try on an endless number of glasses very tiresome and extremely boring. Pleeeeeeease provide the poor people waiting for their partners to choose glasses with some WiFi to help the time pass.
On the upside, a lovely lady provided me with a sausage roll and a glass of sparkling Shloer and, after what seemed like a millennium my wife decided which glasses to buy.

Graham Freeman is an excellent optometrist with a calm and professional manner. V knowledgable dispensing optician Chris M was a great help. Very happy with my experience - left with new distance specs, new lenses for my existing bespoke frames and new prescription sunglasses ordered, without having felt upsold at all.

Consistently outstanding service from the efficient and friendly reception team to the incredible optometrists but especially Claire. I have a complex eye issue and she has been able to improve my sight significantly. She is so skilled and patient.
