Lemon Squad Avis 

We were skeptical about hiring lemon squad again after our first experience, but we needed an inspection done quickly and didn’t know who else to hire.

I am SO glad we gave them a second chance. The person who did this inspection needs to train everyone else that LS contracts.

The photos were crisp clear photos and there were a TON of them!!! (compared to the ones that looked like they were taken with an iPhone 6 by a toddler on the last one). The information provided on this inspection was clear, concise and in depth… leaving us feeling like we had inspected it ourselves. We cannot thank this inspector enough. We were confident enough in the report that we have finally purchased my husband’s dream car!

No roof pictures of the RV so I'm assuming it was not inspected. The inspector mentioned a soft spot(s) on the floor but didn't elaborate where he found it and did not give any detailed info on it. The Black/Grey water tanks did not get inspected but he listed they were good. How can he say it was good but then note they were not connected and could not be functionally tested. The water faucets were not inspected but there is a green check. I was not happy at all, I called to complain and was instructed to send an email to get more info, I sent it and haven't heard from anyone to date.

RV inspector took days to inspect RV CAMPER VAN. and on top of that he was many hours late. He was rude to the sales agent and service manager. Many things not inspected due to van being in detail when inspector finally showed up. He had no tool, ladder, nothing but a cell phone and only stayed approx 40 minutes (usually a 3 hour job). Report was not completed until late Monday after purchase had been completed. So much for a pre purchase inspection!!

Inspector did a perfect report. The vehicle was a 1946 Hiawatha Doodlebug

I purchased three lemon squad inspections. I do not know if the first inspector went above and beyond and the other two did just the basic requirements, but I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience versus the others. He set up a camera during the drive portion of his inspection and it was very helpful. Overall was just a more thorough inspection than the other 2. But I absolutely love that this service exists.

Inspector went out after the holiday weekend (4th of July) and was prompt and extremely detailed in the report. I appreciated all the pictures taken of everything as well, and I used it as a checklist to inspect the car after lemon squad looked everything over. Peace of mind was great and will be using them again whenever i get new used cars.

I hired LemonSquad to do an inspection on a vintage Jaguar in another state (as I was not able to fly out to inspect the car myself). After hiring LemonSquad, they conducted the inspection within two business days and had the inspection report ready the day after the inspection. I appreciated how quickly they moved to get the inspection done as I was worried the car would be bought out from under me. The report itself was very thorough - the inspector reviewed the interior (identifying rips in the seats, whether the analog gauges worked, turn signal, wipers, etc.), the exterior (identifying paint chips, oxidation, etc.), and lastly, mechanical (road test, gear shifting, any oil leaks, any misfiring, etc.). Hiring LemonSquad to do a pre-purchase inspection was worth every penny and saved me a flight ticket of checking out the vehicle myself.

The report was very detailed. A lot of good clear pictures of every angle of the RV possible. I even received pictures and video of systems in operation with a detailed summary of the condition of the unit. Very pleased and impressed at the professional report.

I ordered an inspection online. I needed to get a timeline on when it was going to be inspected. The person who returned my call could barely speak English and was no help at all. I am thinking about canceling and going with a different service. Very disappointed and can not ever recommend Lemon Squad.

Awful report, skipped many major systems in a very expensive RV inspection. Did not schedule appointment with the dealer in advance which created conflict, refused to acknowledge upside down videos , pictures of who knows what and in general an inspector who knew nothing about the system's he was supposed to inspect.

Receiving my report was one day late. That is the only reason why not 5 stars.
2007 Mazda Miata MX5 Sport
This is a remote purchase, and shipped to my home. I had only seen photos and videos from the dealership.

My report was 196 pages long. Most were detailed photos with descriptions.
Including undercarriage.

The mechanical checks were very thorough.
Including code reader.
A clear, thorough description of the test drive.
My inspector pointed out the tiniest of flaws.

Very pleased with the thoroughness of the report.
I don't know how I could have asked for more information.

I did speak with two different folks on the phone about the report being late. I honestly believe they did everything they could do to expedite it.

I would definitely use this service again.

Peace of mind isn't necessarily cheap, but in this case, it's a pretty fair deal.

I ordered a Lemon Squad inspection for a low mile (89k) 2012 Jeep Liberty. The inspector arrived that day and sent his report to Lemon Squad for review. It took over 24 hours for the report to be released to me.

The good:
Response was timely and they identified the usual Liberty evap issues.

The bad:
Upon arrival the car had clearly been sideswiped and poorly repaired on the passenger side. I felt that the inspector had framed photos to avoid showing the multiple dents and rust spots.
The heater core was mostly blocked, barely sending any heat to the passenger compartment.
The driver side heated seats do not function.

We paid a fairly premium price for a super clean, low mile car. Our Lemon Squad report feels like it was edited by the dealer.

Easy to set up an appointment inspection. Easy to get ahold of them to ask a question. Jose the inspector was great, he even followed up a week later to see how I liked the car. Would definitely use them again.

Complete Waste of Money – Missed Major Safety Issues & Body Damage

I hired Lemon Squad expecting a professional, thorough pre-purchase inspection, but the report I received was practically useless. They completely missed multiple obvious and critical issues on the vehicle:

Radiator: Was literally unattached and loose in the engine bay.

Front Brakes: The pads were completely worn through to the metal—a severe safety hazard.

Body & Paint: Completely overlooked obvious spray/paint work under the car.

Bumper: Failed to note that the front bumper was missing its clips and improperly secured.

A basic visual walk-around should have caught every single one of these items. Instead, I paid for peace of mind and received a surface-level checklist that gave a green light to a vehicle needing immediate, costly repairs.

Save your money and take the car to a trusted local mechanic instead. Lemon Squad’s "inspection" missed basic safety components and structural shortcuts. Highly disappointed.

Well, I had a out of town buyer ready to buy my car. Lemon guy did his inspection and test drive and had the audacity to say that my car was sluggish.
My car runs great, not sure why he would lie like that. I still sold it to another buyer for less than I was going to get.

Bad things happen and it happens to everyone, thats not what this is about, issue is Lemonsquad is run by like one person and entire customer service is through an AI assistant, which is fine I use AI but the AI is not authorized to do anything! The inspector went to the truck seller and he didnt bring a code scanner and he tried to call, I was on another call and called back immediately, I cant reach him instead it goes to scout or whatever(their AI assistant) and it cant ofcourse reach the inspector nor is there a way to talk to a real person. The inspector takes my money sends me a one page report saying truck wont start and that is the end of it.

It took over a week to receive my report after placing the order, including more than three days of the report sitting in review. The customer service experience was frustrating—there is no way to reach a live person, and the automated phone AI promises a follow-up from a representative that never comes. That said, while the report was briefer than the sample provided, it was still very helpful, and the 100+ included photos were extremely useful."

Ordering and scheduling went really well - it's a high-speed one stop shop experience. Extensive video coverage of the work performed plus excellent photos that demonstrate the state of the car really well. I particularly appreciate the videos as they give an even better idea of the car.

I had never bought a vehicle so far away before and I didn't want to risk a wasted trip. So I found this awesome company called Lemon Squad. For just over a couple hundred dollars they did a very, very complete inspection giving me the confidence to take the flight to Florida and purchased this beautiful 2016 Lincoln Navigator L. Great service and great experience. Highly recommend.

They did what I paid them for. Its important to get the low down before making a major investment like this. I've always had this done when buying used cars but for an RV I had it done on a new one. There are no guarantees though. Despite the inside knowledge, on my second night in my new RV the AC died and I'm now waiting for a replacement. That goes in the say lah vee category. No reflection on Lemon Squad
