Lemon Squad Avis 

I ordered a pre-purchase inspection for an out-of-state car purchase from a FL dealer on 7/25/26 and as of 7/31/26, the inspection is yet to be performed and the AI customer service agent gives the same canned response when I repeated called the Lemon Squad customer service for an update and requested expedited service. Their refund policy helps them to scam people out of their money and not perform timely service.

While it took a little longer than the two days I was expecting from the website, the inspection was thorough and very helpful. The inspector was experienced and knowledgeable. The inspection description and photos gave me confidence to make a fair offer and purchase.

I’ve used Lemon Squad several times to inspect cars for me that I couldn’t do myself. They are very quick to get the inspection done and everyone I’ve dealt with has been very friendly, professional, and helpful. I would definitely recommend, and will be using them in the future.

Worst Service every they dont do what the customer ask for,

350.00 for a commercial truck inspection and did not include a computer scan. I then get the inspection delayed for a whole week and the report wasn't available until 10 days after I ordered the inspection. Aside from the delays it is impossible to get a hold of anyone to answer your questions and get some sort of a time frame or answer questions such as if it includes computer scan on the inspection etc. Overall it was not worth the price. I feel ripped off. The inspection did not give me any more confidence if I am making a good purchase or not.

I have to say that they were as responsive as they could possibly be. I very much appreciate that. It must be very difficult to coordinate the logistics of deployed technicians on short notice. I had the impression, as a potential private party buyer, that I could request an inspection quickly to avoid placing the seller at a disadvantage in showing the vehicle. I used your service once and the shop of a local mechanic and I must say that the local mechanics report was more thorough.

I requested the inspection and this was completed in a timely manner. I appreciated the videos that accompanied the report. I would recommend Lemon Squad for vehicle inspection of used cars. Thank you.

Wrench.com Actually did the inspection which was good. Just wish the inspector had a newer scan tool likw ALL Data scanner, but it was worth it.

I chose Lemon Squad because they advertise a fast turnaround, which is exactly what I needed for a pre-purchase inspection.

My vehicle was inspected on July 21, and as of the morning of July 25, I still had not received the inspection report.

A pre-purchase inspection is only valuable if you receive the results quickly enough to make an informed decision. If the seller has other interested buyers, or is waiting for your answer, several days without the report can put you at a real disadvantage and may even cost you the vehicle.

If timing is important to your purchase, my experience did not match the fast turnaround that led me to choose Lemon Squad.

My technician pointed out multiple issues that I probably would have overlooked. He definitely saved me from buying a lemon online. If you are buying online, use lemonsquad!

I was relying on lemon squad as an out of state purchaser. The inspection took several days to get back and when I got it back a test drive was not done. I flew in to do a self inspect because it took so long for the inspection to come back. Upon driving, I found there to be issues with the AC as well as potential suspension issues. When I finally got the inspection back there was no documentation of either AC concerns or suspension concerns. I have been trying to get a live person on the line for several days to address the concerns that I have and have been met with dropped calls and AI auto attendant. Would love to hear from a live person to address my concerns, but have not gotten a call back yet.

Paid for a pre-purchase inspection so I wouldn't buy someone else's problems. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened. I found major brake vibration on my first drive, a significant oil leak, and power running board issues almost immediately after taking possession. Instead of explaining how these were missed, Lemon Squad just kept sending the same canned response about their inspection being "visual and non-invasive." I wasn't asking for a warranty—I was asking why obvious issues weren't caught. The customer service was just as disappointing as the inspection. I won't use them again.

They could improve by not having canned responses such as it's visual and non invasive. In one of the photos you could zoom in and see cut wires.
I diddnt catch it because I didn't think I needed to indirect the inspector's work.

All in all it was a mistake ever trusting them!

- Ordered inspection Friday afternoon. Understood I probably would not get assigned an inspector until Monday and inspection would happen Tuesday at the earliest.
- Received Saturday and Sunday morning emails indicating might be an issue because of the weekend.
- Monday morning email changed indicated no need on action from me but any delays might be a scheduling issue.
- Tuesday morning email said "At this stage, extended timing is usually related to access or coordination rather than inspector availability." and that issues might lie with the seller.
- Contacted seller, no inspector called them to schedule.
- Contacted Lemon Squad, horrible AI agent, live agent was quick. They indicated that Monday morning they knew they had no inspector in the area.
- So they knew no inspector but automated emails blamed delays on the dealer. I had to demand an immediate refund. They never offered it as an option.
- This delay almost cost me the ability to purchase this vehicle because of the delays.
- Lemon Squad specifically advertised the city name.

It took multiple rescheduling efforts to get the report completed, but it was very thorough. The attention to detail is excellent. Thankful for the inspection

Save me from making a horrible purchase. After they brought everything to my attention and I called the dealership out on it they ended up wholesaling the car.

I booked online on a Friday morning for a ppi in Mount Holly NJ. The inspection took place the next day and I had a report Sat night. It was well worth the price. Lemon squad pictures showed scratches(big one) and modifications that the dealerships pictures did not show.

Took one week - well past the contracted response time of 2 business days. Will not use again. Requested a refund but service rep was quick to say she did not have that ability. Poor service.
