I was going to purchase a vehicle that was out of state. The pictures looked good at the dealership; however the mechanic found a minor issue with the motor. Lemon Squad's mechanic saved me thousands of dollars. The service was easy to order and for the cost well worth it. I highly recommend using Lemon Squad for any vehicle purchase that you plan on making if you don't have the mechanical expertise.

I ordered an inspection of a used vehicle on Thursday morning. The car was inspected on Friday evening. I did not receive the report until Tuesday evening, 4 days after I had ordered it. By this point, the seller had lost patience and went with another customer. I tried to call Lemon Squad and ask about a refund, but the AI customer service leads nowhere. They said they would connect me to a live customer service rep, but I sat on hold for 5 minutes, and then the call dropped. There is no way to contact them online, no email, no messaging center. I feel like I was robbed of $344.99 and no human will take my call to resolve this problem.

Inspector clearly did not drive the vehicle and missed a huge red flag being a loud, jolting clunk when turning. This was not notated on his report and upon further inspection done by myself, someone who is not well versed in cars, figured out it is the front differential which will cost me thousands. Pathetic excuse of an inspection missing such a glaring issue that would've prevented me from purchasing the vehicle. The fact I'm likely not going to be compensated for this joke of an inspection is infuriating. Thanks for nothing!

Getting it done in a timely manner and getting into the customer quickly before they lose the opportunity to perhaps purchase that particular vehicle. I give you an f back to the streets with you.

This has been a terrible company to work with. They took forever to schedule my inspection. The car got sold to someone else. Now I am trying to get the inspection moved to another car since no refund policy. When you call you can’t get a human only AI bot. When they finally transfer to a human with a promised wait time of one minute, you stay on hold until they hang up on you. I have been calling since they opened at 8 am cst. Almost three hours of not getting anyone to answer, holding for ridiculous amounts of time and getting hung up on. Customer service is awful. I wish I would have found an independent mobile mechanic in my area. Which is what they are likely doing anyway. This is purely self service. No humans work here.

I was looking for a used foundation series cybertruck. I looked at several, but had lemon squad look at 2. Both reviewers (California and Arkansas) did an excellent job and helped me to pick out the truck I wanted, sight unseen. They provided a level of comfort I wouldn’t have had otherwise. I will definitely recommend them as I would definitely use them again.

I ordered an ev inspection and go no data on the battery health or charging system. The inspector showed a video of him trying to connect his diagnostic module but stated he couldn’t connect because the car was too new. Yet in the report it was stated there were no outstanding or historical codes in the system. Was he able to get connected after the video or was the report a template?

Other than that, the pictures he provided were thorough and numerous. Videos were short but informative.

I like these kinds of services quite a bit, but Lemonsquad was not my favorite of them. My two main issues were how long it took to get the report after the mechanic had seen the car and how speaking with the mechanic to ask questions costs extra. In the first issue, it took several days to get the report. When buying a car folks know that cars can be sold quickly so while I'm waiting for this report I'm worried the car is going to get sold to someone else. I did not enjoy that stress. In the second issue, I've dealt with competitors of Lemonsquad before and it was standard for the mechanic to call you while they were still with the car to give you a quick verdict and quickly answer any questions while they were still on site. One comment the mechanic made in the report was iffy and if I had been able to ask them about it I might have found out something more that would have had me pass on the car. Which would have been a good thing, as the car ended up blowing a head gasket on me a month after I bought it.

I first called another inspector in my state and he was on vacation. I really did not want to wait another week and a half just in case the vehicle sold. Lemon Squad was quick to schedule an inspection. They let me know each time my order progressed to the next step. Overall, the service was exactly what I needed. They saved me 4 hours of driving and hours of testing on a commercial vehicle. The dealership was impressed with the service as well. You need to have realistic expectations when using a service like this. Even though I think my inspector was an experienced tech, you are not hiring a mechanic that will diagnose every problem on the spot. They will give you a very thorough condition report and test the basic safety items, then look for major warning signs. In my case I wired the money sight unseen and I was happy with my purchase.

Do not use lemon squad. They are thieves.
I scheduled an inspection for $219 after booking it was scheduled for 2 days later.

On the morning of the scheduled appointment they sent a notification saying the technician had a emergency and it was now scheduled for the next day.

Again on the morning of the new scheduled inspection. They sent an email saying the inspection is not just sitting there and they are working on it behind the scenes.

However they have no timeline on the inspection date.

So like anyone I wanted to cancel the inspection.

However even though they have no idea when or if they will do the inspection.

They will not refund and there is no one to speak with it's only an AI who has been programmed to deal with complaints by saying the same thing over and over.

Do not waste your money with this company.

I will be reporting them to the BBB.

How quickly they were able to get a Mechanic to the vehicle that I was interested in purchasing. They gave me a very detailed breakdown of the which included Video and Pictures. I did purchase my Diesel Sprinter Van and the Lemon Squad made me very comfortable as I drove away from the Seller.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. We hired Lemon Squad to inspect a vehicle at a used car dealership before purchase. The inspector photographed the roof but completely omitted severe, pre-existing hail damage from the official report. Relying on their report, our client bought the vehicle and is now facing a $5,000 repair bill for the missed damage. Lemon Squad refuses to take responsibility, offers zero support, and does not stand behind their inspections. Avoid them at all costs.

Fast, accurate, and a lot of information.

That inspection saved me a lot of heartache and money. Well worth what I spent to get the vehicle thoroughly inspected! Would use again in a heartbeat.
