Seems there isn't much that isnt great about the 2 collars I bought . The chime option is like having a training collar as well . They were barking at other dogs and hit the chime just to see what would happen and they stopped! Then I tried the tracking and it was very accurate but love how it uses my phone as a base station unlike whistle uses your wifi wich means you have to turn the device off when taking your dog out to the river or get hit with txt msg saying your dogs loose every few mins and where they are at . And also the device is very secure and stays on the collar and the sports edition i got covers the device with a a very attractive cover somes in pink wich I got for ellie and black and grey that I got for my lucky that keeps their teeth from making Mark's or holes on the device unlike my whistle gps constantly got damage and came off of the collar because of the poor rubberband gimmick that held it on which I had to keep buying all the time to get it back on the collar . Then I would have to find the device and I've had to replace ellies 2 times because of that poor design that they came up with to keep the collar on it. The device battery life last 2 days wich is enough but would love to see them eventually come up with love ger lasting battery life . But I was shocked when I had an issue and called and got very friendly support as well as gave me multiple things to try to fix the problem wich wasnt anything but me downloading the latest version of the app wich I saw they said to do when I went to the help section and troubleshooting as the first thing to try but didnt because I thought since I just downloaded the app yesterday I had it but nope that format night they came out with a upgrade so that was something I could ha e just done . The most amazing thing about their support is that nice lady called me the next day and asked how me and lucky and ellie were doing with the collars ..omg I've never had any company do that the whole 45 years I've ben on this planet . I cant thank link and her and her awsome coworkers for getting right on the issue and making me feel like they feel they ar othe people that will protect my coonhounds and help get them dogs back home right away and be safe they get it unlike whistle wich tried to.make me get the new version of their device wich ment more money because ellies device faild again for the 3rd time because of damage it got from falling off the collar because of the poor design they came up with to keep the device on the collar wich they admit . But said warranty is up damage is our poor design who cares about the 3 years I was with them constantly spending money . Link cared and shown they arent just a company they are family . Thank you link my dogs are safe

Collar doesn’t live up to expectations

We haven’t been very impressed with the Link AKC collar. It will not allow us to modify our home base range, so every time our dog is in the farthest part of the yard, it says he’s left the property. It doesn’t hold a charge for up to 3 days, and the signal is weak for hiking and camping trips. The app will not allow us to take photos or add photos to our Adventures.

Excellent customer service! Every time I contact them, I am pretty quickly connected to a helpful, knowledgable representative. They are very quick at shipping also.

We have had good success with the Link…

We have had good success with the Link for our dog. Would like the battery life to be a little longer before requiring charging. Also some more choices in collars would be nice. Thank you

I really like the link and the fact…

I really like the link and the fact that I can take her on vacation and it still works. The only reason I gave it 4 Stars is because lately it has not been tracking as well as before. It would also be nice if you could use the tone even when she is nearby.

Thank you for bringing the tracking concern to our attention. An update to address this issue was sent to your Link this weekend, so please reach back out to our customer service department if the problem continues, so that our tech department can properly analyze your Link system.

You should always be able to use the Light & Sound Features when your dog is reporting as Away from you and also when you are connected Together, so make sure Bluetooth is enabled and your permissions are turned On.

I wouldn't purchase this product again

I wouldn't purchase this product again. I have had nothing but issues with the Link gps unit. I have been sent 3 in 2 months and none of them work 100%. I was dealing with a CSR named Jodi. Even though I was frustrated she always did what she could to help and ALWAYS responded or emailed me back when she said she would. Thank you Jodi! Now I'm dealing with soneone named Nicole whom never gets back to me when she says she will. I have to chase her down with emails to get a response. Now she is blaming the Bluetooth on my phone for the application issue. Haha right. I'm probably just going to return everything and go with another company. I would have given 3 or maybe even 4 stars if Nicole would just get back to me when she says she will. But she doesn't. So 2 stars it is for poor customer service and a product that all of the promised features do not work.

Defective device, no customer service, save your $$

It doesn’t charge right, constantly dies. It says it has a full charge and moments later it will die. Too expensive to be garbage. Reached out to the company for help or exchange for a working device or refund, and months later, still haven’t heard back. So frustrating. Save your money, there are a million similar devices through reputable companies that actually have customer service.

I had a technical al problem with my collar and I got great personal help fixing it and was refunded the vcd amount of time my collar was down great service great company I love this collar I dont have to worry about where mnk y dog is ever

My gps isn’t always that accurate. God forbid I ever lost my dog it would suck for it not to be accurate then. Also get a lot of updates but no explanation on what got updated. You should send emails with the updates explaining what you have improved.

I love knowing if my buddy goes missing…

I love knowing if my buddy goes missing I can find him. If he is tied up outside at the campground I attach the lead to another collar just in case he slips out of the collar he will still have the link one on.
I totally recommend this product!

Love the collar but the battery life is…

Love the collar but the battery life is hit and miss. Sometimes I only get one day of charging and sometimes 2 and a half days of charging. I also wish I could purchase the standard collar, I bought the sport but would like both but don’t see that opinion on the website.
