So I have to share this with everyone today. Do not use this company. My uncle has just been moved into a home and I ask the to come round at 10 am, I got a message at 10.15 to say that it would be 11am, ants then at 11 another message to say it would be 1130. Btw he told me the reason he was late was because he was waiting for a delivery! We he did arrive he was scruffy and rude and the gave me a price of £150 - £350 for a new lock and then said £90 on top. Now I am not an expert but that seems very expensive! I told him that I did feel this was expensive, and he got very agitated and said why did not not ask for a price before I come round. (Btw site does say free visit quote on site) even so I have a right to get another quote, although to be fair it’s not my money I would have just said do it if the price seemed fair, but it did not. So this guy left the house muttering waste of time and other things. Final insult and his final note a text message from him “ Ask for prices if you haven’t got money cheap c**t”

Tried to charge over £500 for a 'broken mechanism' which we refused. Then miraculously it was just the cylinder - £280, which we refused. Suddenly went down to £180 at which point I had no trust in the man. Then starts trying to strongarm for 'labour' after electing to take the handle off the door. Illegal practice. DO NOT LET IN YOUR HOME

AVOID THIS COMPANY. They will heavily overcharge you and damage your door/lock. I’ve reported my experience to trading standards and I’ve reported to my bank to try and get a chargeback. In my experience, the company has changed its name, blocked me on WhatsApp and has no clear complaints procedure. I also found their communication threatening and concerning. I’ve raised my concerns with the relevant authorities and would strongly recommend doing your own research before using this company. They also don’t include VAT on their receipts, I would advise reporting them to inland revenue. I think there is also a bbc article on this company from January 2026, they just keep changing their company name, website, phone numbers. All their reviews on their website are fake and they are clearly paying to be at the top of google search. They need to be stopped ASAP.

Would give zero stars if I could. Do not use these scammers. Left my parents (both in their 80’s) in tears, feeling shaken and threatened. They also refused to give an invoice after demanding an extortionate amount of cash for a simple job - ten times what was quoted on the phone. Will be reporting.

Parents in their 90s quoted £45 for a simple bathroom lock change, John came change the lock, simple job, demanded £345 refused to leave. Reporting to Trading Standards. Do not touch these criminals.

Rung up on Friday afternoon as we couldn’t open our front door, after my partner had ordered a part he needed that failed and stopped us from opening the door so we had to call a lock smith.

Was told on the phone £49 to open the door and if any small parts needed would be a little extra.
Man was very rude when he turned up, ended up drilling through the part in the door that failed on us. As soon as he had the handle off and we had no way to lock/shut out door he then proceeded to say it would be an additional £89 for the part and £80 for fitting. We had no choice but to go for it as out door was a state.

Coming to the end we reviewed the bill and the total was £450. Over charged us on everything he said. We questioned on why it was so much and he was forceful and just waving the receipt at us demanding we pay.

Has anyone else managed to receive any money back from there bank at all?

The advert on their website says no call out charge.
The engineer then also attended an hour later which again if you look on their website states the engineer will attend between 20-30 mins.

I was in the shower and my wife was in the living room, the engineer opened door and and without evening looking at the door (the issue was the front door wouldn't lock) he plucked a figure of £400. My wife said that is too excessive and declined the job.
The engineer then demanded £140 call out charge. Luckily I had come out of the shower and came down and questioned the call out charge as the website clearly says no call out charge.
I called the company and they stated if the job is cancelled then a call out charge is payable, I asked how much was the call out charge, I was told it's £50 plus VAT.
At this point I informed the engineer what the call out charge was and the quote given doesn't give me confidence in what he was saying was correct.

To tell the truth I should have put the phone down as soon as I called and was met with a response from someone with broken English and even the engineer who turned up could barely speak English.

Best to stay away from these con artists and rely on a local tradesman.

Upon arrival, the technician claimed the job was "complex" and hiked the price to £125. He then drilled for just 2–3 minutes to open the door.Next, he charged £65 for a "mid-range security lock" that actually costs around £15, plus an extra £39 labour charge just to screw it in. The final bill came to a whopping £279. Complete rip-off. Do not use this company.

Do not use, a total scam. My poor daughter was quoted £49. When the guy turned up charged £120, was there a few minutes. I phoned to challenge them and they put the phone down. They were top of the Google search, avoid at all costs, these people are scum.

Scam!! Avoid at all costs. Was quoted £49 plus vat on the phone for a simple job. When they arrived in a beaten up old car they then say they are going to have to “destroy the lock” which seemed very excessive. He ended up quoting about 3 different prices in the space of 5 minutes but ended up being able to reach through the letter box to unlock the door! No work was done and I was charged £180!!! I will making a charge back on my card. Absolute scammers

Please don’t use this company, quoted £49 for a call out and if it was a simple fix that would be the price. Was told they would be there in 30 minutes… after 2 hours and 30 minutes goes by he arrives. Breaks the lock (which was needed) but then says the replacement “mechanism” is £170+ VAT. I asked him to open the lock to see if that was the problem, he did and confirmed that was the problem. I took a picture of it and put it into Amazon and prices were coming up from £20-£70 so I knew he was having me on. As I asked questions he got agitated and then said he has another job to go to. Out of desperation I asked him if I could buy the part off him and try to fix it myself. He said Yeah. It it will cost you £150. So I told him to quote me for what he did and I’ll fix it myself. Diagnosis+breaking the lock £96 including VAT.

I Went to an I dependant locksmith and he confirmed he was ripping me off and the entire mechanism does cost £170 but the part I needed only a replacement “gear box” which was 58 quid. Thank god I did not buy it from him.

Absolute scammers, I would hate to think of how many vulnerable people he has scammed before.

Used this horrendous company today. Originally said 100 to gain entry to the house and replace lock. Wasn't ideal but said ok. Turned up and demanded 350. Said no. Had no choice but to say just break in and charge me for that. Wanted 125 plus vat for it. Robbers. Went on to break my beautiful 1930s wooden door. Absolute scammers iv essentially paid for them to ruin my door. Would of been much easier to get my father in law to barge it open. Avoid. Also the customer service is disgusting. They are rude intimidating. Guy on the phone said I was disrespecting him by speaking to him the way I was. Apparently as a women I didn't have the right to complaint to a man. Idiots! Reporting to police for fraud and trading standards

Called today, they said they will be coming in 14min. After 1h no one showed up, so gave them a ring again. They said they are late and would come in 14min. In meantime managed to get in to the house thanks to the next door neighbour roofing guys.
I called back politely to tell them no need to come. On what they cut the line and sent message with the cancellation job fee. Just another nightmare scamming company.

Do not use this firm. It is a scam. As in all the other reviews they claim a low turnout rate and then charge you through the teeth for extras. My bill ended up being £712.

my sister was locked out her house with two babies inside yesterday and a man turned up after she said she didn’t require his help! He was very forceful and completed the lock change when she told him not to - I later phoned and got through to people that kept putting the phone down and calling me a c**t

I can’t imagine what these people are doing to elderly people!!!!

Minus stars if I could I also have just been scammed. My bad for not checking reviews but with all the negative feeling this company and its owners will suffer in other ways.

Total scam over charged £500 for a £29 lock.

Charged £238.80 for taking out the lock surround as my door would not lock. Desperate and I panicked. But feel old and stupid for being ripped off so badly. Will get at 'Real' company out tomorrow

Wow! I have just been changed £500 for changing a lock! Honestly I wish I read the reviews before I called them. Don’t recommend them.

Terrible terrible set of people. Told me I have to drill my door open and I said it’s a rented apartment, and I can’t do that, he said I should pay him £60 as cancellation fee and I told him I can’t afford him then he threatened to send a letter to force me to pay and blamed me for not asking about cancellation fee on the call. The customer service representative was rude as well, kept talking about I need to pay because I don’t want the service. why are they even the first result on google when you search locksmith near me.

Terrible service, awful attitude offered on the phone to repair your lock and didn't have any with him even when he knows which lock already we needed. Dont know how to speak to people even asking you to shut hp!!! Avoid!!!!
