Lola’s began back in 2006 with a simple aim: to bake beautiful, fresh cakes every day. Starting as a small bakery, we quickly grew and went on to open flagship store in Selfridges and, today, we have over 30 locations in and around London!
Freshness has always been at the heart of what we do. We bake around the clock to ensure our customers receive the very best cupcakes and cakes for every occasion. A commitment that still defines who we are today.
We care deeply about the experience each customer has with Lola’s. From baking and decorating, to carefully loading orders onto our own fleet of dedicated drivers, every step is designed to make sure each delivery is as special as it should be. Our customer service team is always on hand to help with enquiries, and the occasional problem!

Lola cakes are very enjoyable and taste…
Lola cakes are very enjoyable and taste delicious. I’ve been going to Lola’s for my children’s cakes for a few years now they’re always great. Staff are nice. Company need to introduce the seasonal cakes again especially the strawberry shortcake.

They were delicious. Slightly sweeter than our taste.

Good service and lovely cakes
The person who took the order in the Lola’s concession was patient, kind and very helpful talking time to explain the process The person who sorted the cakes for me when I collected was very helpful. The birthday cake looked marvellous and travelled well and the mini cup cakes were pretty. Both the birthday cake and mini cakes were fresh and tasted good.

Loyal customer of 18 years lost
I’ve been coming to Lola’s since they first opened in birmingham. I’ve always been addicted to their cakes as they were light n fluffy, with the best buttercream flavours.
However over the years I have seen recipes change, flavours be reduced, portion sizes get smaller whilst prices get bigger. I didn’t mind price changes.
But sadly in the past 2 years they have changed their recipes, the cupcakes frosting tastes cheap. There is a sour note in there which makes you gag.
I thought it was a bad batch but past few times it’s been the same. The server confirmed the recipe had changed.
The recent unicorn cupcakes went in the bin within the first bite.
I am disappointed but like most businesses, it’s about profits now

We have recently updated the recipe of our vanilla buttercream and the recipe of our red velvet cake and I will note your feedback for our teams to review.
I can still assure you all items are baked and prepared fresh for delivery to our stores every day.
We do try to keep our prices as fair and competitive as possible but sadly sometimes this cannot be avoided. All items for sale in our shops and orders placed with us are baked and prepared by hand by our teams of bakers and decorators using fresh ingredients every day.

I ordered from Lola’s cupcakes for my son’s 5th birthday, the website was easy to navigate and I ordered a superhero cake and there was a wide variety to choose from.
The collection was straightforward and the cake itself exceeded all expectations. It was presented really well, tasted amazing and perfect for my son’s birthday.

Fresh and delicious cakes as always
Fresh and delicious cakes as always. The customer service was also on point. I haven't been to the Birmingham Selfridges store for some time, so was gutted to find the seating area gone. However, the staff offered us the seats at the consultation counter as they were not busy.

Tutti-frutti cake
I collected this lovely cake from Selfridges in Birmingham. it was ready to collect on time and well packed in a strong cardboard box.The Tuttifriuti cake was beautiful to look at, as seen on the website, and enjoyable to eat with fresh fruit, a light sponge and blueberry cream cheese frosting that wasn’t overly sweet. I will be ordering this again soon. Thank you!

Love Lola’s the kunafa cake was so…
Love Lola’s the kunafa cake was so moist and fab! I’ve had the caramel cookie cake and rocky road in the past they were also amazingly delicious!!! Will order again and again. Had to collect it. I think the delivery could be free as the cake was over £30 and TikTok shop delivery is free but otherwise wouldn’t fault it.

Wedding cake
Had a beautiful cake made for our wedding. Easy order and collection. The cake was beautiful and lasted for around a week- so fresh and light.

Great cakes
Great cakes, never disappoint, we get them for all the family birthdays. My only quibble is that the delivery charges are high. The delivery service is good when we've used it (you can also pick up at their outlet), but they've put delivery prices up so it really makes the whole thing quite expensive.

Last Lola cake buy.
Delivery was on time, ordering was easy. The cake looked great, unfortunately it tasted mediocre at BEST. Knowing you’re paying nearly 100 pounds for a birthday cake and it still tastes basic at best is not good value for money. The icing was unbearably sweet. This wasy third Lola cake buy, for a large party. I’ve been consistently disappointed. Too sweet, not as moist as it used to be. Quality has gone down.

It is great to hear that your order was delivered on time and you found the ordering process easy, however we are very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the taste and quality of your cake and that the sponge was not as moist as previous occasions.
I can assure you that our cakes are always baked fresh using high quality ingredients in order to offer the best taste and experience, and we apologise that your experience on this occasion was not up to this usual standard.
The Dinosaur tall cake does feature both a buttercream icing finish as well as a buttercream filling, which is the sweetest icing that we offer and may certainly be sweet for some, in which we would recommend our cream cheese or mascarpone frosted cakes if you prefer something that is less sweet.
We do recommend large cakes to be out 2-3 hours before serving to allow the whole cake to reach room temperature as this can really affect the moisture and texture of the sponge.
