Quick efficient resolution to my Lomi 2 grinder gear motor issue. Although just out of warranty the company quickly offered a replacement unit. A good company that stands by its product.
Great product, great company
The Lomi is a useful product and works very well. And the customer service is excellent. Whenever I have needed help - once a replacement part, once a warranty claim, a couple times just information - the customer service agents have been helpful, knowledgeable, and quick to solve problems. Great product, great company!
Lomi 1
My machine was under warranty and needed a replacement part. They quickly sent the part with a video link to show how to change out the old for new. The part sent did not resolve the issue, so they sent a new composter. The tech support was quick and very detailed. They were very friendly and quick to resolve my issues.
Original unit still valuable in my houshold
Lomi is a great product. My unit (Lomi 1) is now 4 years old and still works well. I have had to replace the bucket 3 times but I believe that is due to user error, putting in items that were too stringy or too tough for the machine to handle.
I have also replaced the cooling fan 2 times and I'm not sure why that is happening but the company has covered the replacement fans out of warranty at no charge and the skill to replace the fan is minimal.
Equally as important as the functioning of the machine is the customer service support when I have had issues. The response time is lightening fast and the resolution is thoughtful and helpful. Learning to use the Lomi is not rocket science but it does require some thinking and trial and error.

Simple, efficient, successful customer support…
I emailed customer support regarding my LOMI 1 kitchen composter bucket's rotating mechanism being stuck and inoperable. The Representative suggested a replacement bucket. They then assisted me with ordering the replacement bucket. Within a few short emails my replacement bucket is ordered and I am set to continue composting.
I recommend Lomi
No product or company is perfect. Lomi has its odd glitches and sometimes needs a bit of support. I appreciate Lomi for giving me the support I need when I need it. Sometimes, it does not come as fast as I would like. However, I think that is just how it works. They seem genuinely want to help, and they always seem to have a video or something else that makes the machine work correctly with a simple fix. Their product has helped myself and my family quite a bit, and solved a particularly nasty smelling issue we had. I think if you have the right expectations of this product and this company, you will be very pleased.
We went wanting to enjoy this
We went wanting to enjoy this. The new smaller dining room created the right intimacy for couple dining. The Maitre D’ was friendly and welcoming.
There were, I recall, five tables of two and two larger tables of probably six which were placed either side of the entrance.
The ‘refined’ illusion disappeared when a group of people, complete with children and baby invaded as if taking their spot on a beach. Two large twin sized push chairs occupied the entrance as close to the tables as possible. Whilst I really enjoy the european practice of including children at meals it becomes a bit of a distraction when running between tables where women were seated on one and men on the other; with conversations having to be shouted between those tables.
We have travelled the world enough to accept this goes on, but when we have made the effort to dress for dinner at an advertised fine dining experience we do anticipate a little recognition by the restaurant. It’s not meant to sound snobbish, but probably does, but we just wanted a pleasant dining experience. That is reliant on the other guests behaviour ( wandering to and fro between out table to the terrace felt an invasion of space and didn’t add to our forgiveness). We made a choice and having virtually eaten the Thali asked for the bill. That was an exercise in patience in itself and practically made conditional on having an ice cream in the lounge. We avoided coffee, paid and left.
The food was nothing special, the sauces definitely mediocre.
They have do decide what it is they are providing but at the moment it feels more like the dining of an all inclusive hotel rather than the refined experience they offer.
Un-tailored shorts and an average polo top looking as if you have just come off a run will never cut it for me in a dining room.
