The main show (started an hour late) was ok, definitely a cool gimmick but while the repeated claims of over 600 drones may have been true overall, you don't see more than 100 or so at a time and they mostly just sit there displaying a slightly rotating image. The rest of the experience was atrocious the tribute acts couldn't sing, they we're off pitch and out of time. There were a few overpriced rides. About 10 food trucks the only reasonably priced one was the £12 pizza which was so busy it had an hour wait from ordering, the rest were £17+. £8.50 for a pint. Cadbury hot chocolate (the instant powderd kind from a shop) was £4.50 (small cup) with another hour queue. Almost 2 hours to leave the car park which admittedly is a venue problem.
The entire event was definitely a money grab but has potential either as a quick standalone drone show or if they actually get good bands/singers as a fun day out. Would have been better off viewing from a distance for free.

Over priced everything, such a shame we were so looking forward to it. £5 to hook a duck in the fairground, rides £5 a go. Food, we had two wraps they cost £28 and were cold and un edible. Parking was £15, Show tickets over priced for what it was. The Abba and Taylor Swift singers were bad. Constant changes to the time the drones would start, over an hour late and it was freezing. The show itself , was ok, but very short! Huge disappointment, took an hour to get out of the car park, and we left whilst the drones were still flying. Parking attendants just stood around, only one at the exit working. Would have been better to have saved all that money and parked in McDonalds and watched it. Would not recommend.

Well… where do I start.

The show was meant to begin at 7:30pm, but didn’t actually start until 8:35pm — over an hour standing around in the freezing cold with kids. Not a great start.

The fairground felt really overpriced and poorly organised. £5 for Hook-a-Duck is just ridiculous, and there were no clear prices displayed for most of the rides, which honestly made it feel a bit like a money grab.

Food-wise, there was plenty of choice, but again very overpriced. We didn’t even bother. Also, only one place selling hot drinks… on a freezing night?! Come on.

The Taylor Swift tribute act was… painful. Completely out of tune and really not enjoyable to listen to at all.

Now, the actual drone show — visually, it was good to watch, I’ll give them that. But the storyline they tried to create with it just didn’t land at all. It felt a bit random and didn’t really keep you engaged.

In fact, quite a few people started leaving halfway through — and honestly, you could see it just as well from your car with the heating on, which says it all really.

Overall, disappointing for the price and the hype. Definitely wouldn’t go again.

We left before the main event! Very annoyed to have spent over £50 total with the £7 parking to take our 2 year old, to then be sat freezing in the cold after they moved it an hour from 7.30pm-8.30pm. We got there at 6pm and spent over 1 hour in queues (one to pay and one to wait for the order) to get a hot chocolate to get warmer, because there was only one hot drinks vendor for everyone at the venue! We also paid £8 for a 1 minute kids monster truck ride….

We wrapped up warm but left before the drone show as it was just too long for our 2 year old to wait and he was crying because his hands were red raw even with gloves on.

Also the organisers must realise that most children (who the event is aimed at!) likely go to bed at about 7.30pm, so an extra hour to wait on top of an already later bedtime isn’t easy on attendees.

In reply to the below reply from you: you may not be the event organisers but if the whole event is centres around your display then you need to associate with better event planners!! I will also leave a review for the show

£16 for 4 pieces of chicken and a few scabby chips. Entertainment was appalling and couldn’t see it. Not even allowed to take a bottle of water in and forced to pay £4.50 for a drink! Event was delayed by and hour. A few fairground rides that were again overpriced. Hours to kill just stood around waiting for the actual show. Don’t waste your money and if you do decide to take your family take out a loan first you will need it.

Great organisation. Saw this pop on my Tik Tik and was so glad I booked! Ques were long but the drone show was just phenomenal!

I went to their Rudolph show in Windsor. It was amazing, kids loved it. Traffic was horrendous but not the organisers fault so I don’t understand why people are blaming the drone performers for that! 🤷

Very poor organization. We were advised to arrive at 4pm to enter car parks .Two of the tribute acts had been cancelled so only fair rides, African drummers, fire eaters and dog show left to entertain prior to drone show after which was after sundown.
Over 6000 people there but only 3 food vans on site, another was brought in later. Queues for food were extremely long , as on pre show guidelines said we’re not allowed to take in own food only at additional charge. When got to end of queue not all food available and were charging £15 for double burger with piece of bacon in a bun!!
Drone show was ok lasted about 25 mins. On return to carpark , even though parking attendants were present no guidance given by them in directing out of car parks. It was just like a free for all, cars just making there own routes out of car park and were coming from everywhere! Overall the whole experience was very poor and I would not wish to go again. A company trying to Make the most amount of money from families who wish just to have an enjoyable evening out.

Cancelled event. Offered tickets for a few weeks later on a school day at 4pm and 45 mins drive away. Refused any refund. This is a rip off company. Just read the reviews. I’m not alone!.

SPACE SAFARI - please let this come up before you waste your time and money on tickets from the constant Facebook ads.

They pull out all entertainment with 24 hours to go, supposed to a family evening out to watch the drones and tribute acts. Seems like a common thing with this company, just names changes.

Two extremely bored children. Could not feed them due to the long queues to get ripped off for some chicken. We gave up in the end after being stood in the queue for 20 minutes and not moved. Only thing they could do was go on the fairground but that’s another added cost £4 per person per ride.

Please do not waste your hard earned money. Extremely over priced. When called out about it they will block you on social media and constantly remove negative comments, please look to how many comments there are to how many you can actually see, the rest are deleted.

Have contacted them about the problems and they came back offering 2 tickets to another show which would be miles away. This is not their first rodeo to ripping people off, there is a whole Facebook page dedicated to trying to get refunds from these scam artists with over 2100 on there, says it all really.

This was a very exspensieve event it cost me 82.00 to take my family 7.00 which we did have a choice in paying !! And the rides at the fair were 5.00
The drone show lasted 25.00 which to be fare was the best bit
The entertainment laid on was horrendous. African drum band and a fire eater !! Total rip off the food outlets mega expensive!!
All in all wish we had staid home

I was very worried after reading all the negative reviews. We have just got back from the show at Bath and west showground in Shelton mallet. The weather was good, no rain, no wind. The parking was easy and super organised, both entry and exit. No wait either side. The fair was fab and was £8 for two riders. Plenty of food stalls. The drones were fabulous. Could hear the story and the drones were awesome to see. It was a fantastic night out. We got there at 5. It was very well done. I do wonder if venue plays a part in how well it goes, our venue can hold 1000s of people so with 6k there it didn’t feel too crazy. The queues for food were long so bring your own incase you can’t get to a stall and the kids are moaning. I almost didn’t go, but so glad we did. I think before booking check the venue and what space and facilities it has as I think that make a difference.

Would not recommend - a total rip off.

They are even now deleting comments and blocking users on socials

This company is a scam. Totally false advertising. Had 3 music tribute acts around the drone show up until 9pm. All acts now cancelled the day before and finishes straight after drones at 7.30. We even payed extra to take a picnic and chair as we thought will be nice to sit and listen to music. Now they have 2 hours of African drumming workshops and a fire show for 15 mins! How is this even remotely similar or anything I would want to spend 3 and a half hours at for £28 a ticket plus £7 parking! Have asked for refund under the consumer act as false advertising. Wish I'd looked at reviews as this seems like such an awful company out for money and not making sure they have what they've sold to people.
To the reply saying they have nothing to do with the shows, why is the email I received refusing ticket refunds and offering me shows miles away from @luminadrones.com which is the same domain as your website? Surely this means you organise the events and take the money from them?!

I have the same experiences now as people buying tickets to Space Safari drone show at bath and west showground ( as seen on BGT) absolute joke!

Having come from an entertainment and hospitality industry myself, there is no way an event of this size have 2 of their only live acts (Taylor Swift and ABBA tributes) cancel the day before and arrange for drums to replace them.

I, for one think that this not only should be offered at a reduced rate for those poor souls that have spent probably what little disposable income to take their families to this event, there should be a public apology and reduction of ticket prices due to this change for those wanting to purchase tickets.

This isn’t transparent marketing. To top it off you have to pay extra to take a chair and a picnic. OBSERD!!

The ‘no refund’ policy is a joke and a policy that I will now contest. who you contest this too I don’t know as they are under the guise of numerous company names.

The whole evening has been ruined and we have paid for a 30 minute drone show!

Booked tickets in December and they have cancelled with less than 2 weeks notice! Looking at the other reviews, I’m counting myself lucky. Seem like an appalling company all round!

Terrible experience and they deliberately ignore your emails/complaints. They send correspondence to say they are working through emails but never reply. They do not wish to deal with any issues and state non-refundable terms even when they admit the show had a technical error and was not the service they expect to deliver. I would avoid at all costs. I am pursuing a refund through other means now to hold them accountable. Do not book, it is not worth it. The event I attended was delayed, the food vouchers were not usable and food extortionate. Parking charges without warning, failed drones, terrible organisation and took 2 hours to even leave the car park. They have failed to address any of the issues directly, stating they were not able to refund due to costs (but then contradicted this by organising a whole replacement show). I could not attend this so am completely out of pocket and given the experience I would never use again. The event was so bad it even made the BBC news (google it). Warning do not book. They should not be trading.

Booked tickets for an event in November 205 that was cancelled at the last minute and offered tickets for an alternative event. I requested a refund as the dates were unsuitable. Really poor communication and excuses for delaying a refund which legally they were obliged to process due to non delivery of goods. I started a chargeback process via my credit card and the the company lied to them. Eventually I received a refund this month after almost 3 months of chasing. The company should not be trading.

It is a complete scam, do not waste your money on tickets. What you will receive will be sub par or they will cancel the event offer you something half way across the country instead and refuse a refund

I booked for show in Dec which was cancelled due to poor weather. I've been emailing them constantly to re arrange a new date ( which they offer as show cancelled due to weather) but they have ignored all my emails.
