Space Safari at Hylands Park was so good! Everything from purchasing the ticket, the fairground rides, the choice of food vendors were all spot on. I wish the show had been longer and seating for those that find standing difficult for too long could be an idea. Leaving Hylands could have been better thought out. That was a tad annoying, but once someone decided to open the gates at the other end, we were all able to make our way home. I think wristbands would be a good idea for the rides, although being independent vendors, I'm not sure how it could work. Overall, I felt it was a lovely evening. Looking forward to the next one.

The event was so different and great fun there were food vendors and rides to enjoy, the only thing that needs to improve is entry to the parking, hylands have multiple entrances and you only used one.... re think that.

Went to the Safari Lights drone show in Chelmsford on 11th October and honestly, it was a complete let-down from start to finish.

First off: the organisation was awful. We got hit with a last-minute surprise £10 parking charge, which wasn’t exactly advertised upfront. That set the tone nicely — pay more, get less.

Then there’s the food. A load of stalls selling the usual stuff, but at festival-level prices for very average offerings. It felt less like a family event and more like a cash grab with fairy lights.

As for the actual drone show… dull. Just static, boring animal shapes hovering in the sky with zero excitement or build-up. No drama, no energy, nothing that made you think “wow”. Just a slow-moving sequence of floating outlines, like someone’s first attempt at PowerPoint but in the sky.

The traffic situation was the final kick in the teeth. They shut off a main road and managed to turn what should’ve been a 10-minute drive into an hour and a half. It completely gridlocked Chelmsford city centre. If you’re going to run a big event, maybe don’t nuke the city’s road network and act surprised when everything goes to hell.

Also, the marketing was proper irritating — constant “last few tickets available!” nonsense, yet the place was absolutely rammed. Clearly they sold tickets to basically everyone with a pulse.

Overall: dull, overpriced, poorly organised, and a total pain to get to and from.
1/5. Would never recommend. And if it comes anywhere local again, I won’t be driving anywhere near it.

The drone show was excellent loved it, food was good too, the queue was a bit long but it's always like that when you go to events. Parking could be better, hard finding car at the end, no lights or marking to help identify where your car is.
Will definitely to back again, look forward to next year.

This was a lovely evening out with an amazing drone light show. Only downside was the restriction on bringing your own picnic. The queues for food and drink were long and pretty expensive.

Couldn’t hear the commentary/story which was a great shame. And for the short time the drones were flying the food stalls etc should have had their lights turned off, caused too much light so drones couldn’t be seen at their best.

The show in Chelmsford was excellent however I contacted the company about doing something for myself back in October and I haven't heard anything at all rather disappointing

We attended the Space Safari show in Chelmsford. It was poorly organised, took just short of 2hrs from queuing outside along the road to actually parking at the event. You’re not allowed to take your own snacks and drink into the venue, if you do they confiscate them at the entry gate. The food vendors inside are hugely overpriced and the rides are expensive too, £5 per child, so £15 per ride for us. The drone show started late due to people not being able to park in time for the scheduled time. Overpriced and very poorly organised, we won’t be going again.

Drone story was nice. Harsh security removing people's food from bags. Long queues for over priced average food.

Truly awful, we went to see the Rudolph drone show which was appalling. It was a shambles, delayed, broken drones, terrible selection of vendors selling bad quality food for high prices. Hot dogs for £13 which were dreadful. Venue was at Windsor race course which was very badly run - the parking was abysmal. I would not recommend this event or anything run by these clowns to anyone.

Would give a minus if possible. Cancel the show and offer an alternate date that I can't do and then refuse to refund tickets. Offer me a show 200+ miles from home! Absolute con artists. Company should be closed down as a scam.

If I could give no stars I would. Went to the Windsor one. Total lack of organization. Getting in the car park a nightmare, no tickets checked so they were letting everyone in and then ran out of spaces for those that had paid. Way over subscribed, too many people not enough staff and certainly would have failed to meet any safety regulations, in fact it could have been dangerous if they had to evacuate. My grandchildren never even got in and went home so disappointed. I have asked for a full refund but based on other reviews highly doubt they will oblige. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Total sh.. sh..

Went to their Windsor show on the 20th December. Although the drones worked fine - the half an hour delay due to ‘people still coming in’ really got too much for most people. Hundreds left within 5 minutes of the drones starting - kids fed up of standing around. People were well aware that it stated at 5pm and general consensus is they wanted you to spend more on food/drink/rides. My kids got fed up of waiting and tbh the drones weren’t that impressive to want to make them stay and watch. Rides £7 a go, food at extortionate prices.. no market as advertised. Not great at all.

It took 40 mins to get into Windsor racetrack car park. The main field area was pitch black so you can’t see little kids who are sat on the floor. The fun fair was ridiculously overpriced! We left early to beat the traffic of getting out but 1000s of people had the same idea. You just felt like a can of sardines trying to leave. It took over an hour to finally drive out and a worker explained they were short staffed. So the event finished at 6:30pm but we didn’t manage to leave the grounds until 7:45pm! Never again

Awful , DO NOT BOOK , poorly run over booked car park full even though we pre booked and was actually dangerous in the end. The people that are in charge of this event should be ashamed , just a poor excuse for a money grab with no thought for people who are paying for this mediocre event. Disgraceful

We attended the Windsor show yesterday (20th) overall the show was good, would we go again probably not. We booked VIP which I’m glad we did as the overall site was super busy, the VIP section although the same view was a lot quieter and the toilets by the VIP section were a lot quieter. Car parking was long but the staff were doing their best and were organised trying to get everyone parked. The show was delayed due to issues I think with parking delays. After reading on here about costs I was expecting the fair to be pricey - rides were £4 per person which seemed about average for other events we’ve attended.
With VIP the kids got a glow stick and a foam light up wand which they enjoyed and I like that we didn’t then have to spend more on any tacky lights. The kids enjoyed the show although they didn’t really understand the story (kids aged 4 and 6 for reference)
We all got tokens for food and ordered pizzas by the VIP section - they were clearly overwhelmed, we were told it would be 30 min wait so went back after 30 mins and then had to prob wait another 20 mins and received 3 pizzas as it was taking too long and show was starting so told them not to bother with the 4th. Pizzas were good though and was ample quantity for 2 adults and 2 children
Leaving was a bit of a nightmare as we thought it might be - took us about an hour to get out, many cars trying to cut people up but again staff trying their best to get everyone out fairly and quickly and ensure cars didn’t get stuck in the mud.

Went to Ruldolph Red nose reindeer event 20/12/2025. Far too many people booked for event, parking was a nightmare and could manage to get 1 coffee. Main issue, if you are taking little children and the lights start 30mins late when they are standing in the cold waiting as we are being told every 10mins it’s about to start, is ridiculous!! Had to leave after 5mins of the lights starting as children were fed up

Extremely disappointing and poorly managed event.
We attended the Windsor laser show on 20 September 2025, and the experience was stressful from start to finish. Despite arriving early, we waited around 90 minutes just to park. The show itself was delayed, with no clear communication or explanation, which only increased frustration among attendees.
Inside the venue, conditions were unacceptable. There were far too few toilets, several were blocked, and the area was severely overcrowded. People were packed tightly together with very little space, which felt unsafe—especially for families with children.
Leaving the event was by far the worst part. It took over two hours to exit, during which we were stuck in traffic with no access to toilets, food, or water. My children became visibly distressed after being confined in the car for such a long time. This situation showed a complete lack of planning and traffic management.
Overall, the event suffered from poor organisation, inadequate facilities, lack of crowd control, and no consideration for families. For the price paid, this experience was completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this event unless major improvements are made.

Windsor venue not fit for purpose, took 1.5 hours to leave the car park. Drone show 30mins delayed and story was just plain weird. Everything expensive. Drones themselves fine but limited. Just an overall mess.
