One of the worst customer service…
One of the worst customer service experiences I've had.. Nadar hung up on me when I asked him to break down my invoices. He's a disgrace to this company. Also, poor follow up of promises.

I have used Lytx for over six years now with over 400 devices in service. Equipment quality is by far the best in the industry. Our experience with Lytx has been a lifesaver. From the first time, we tested Lytx it has proven to be one of the best tools we've purchased for safety. I can't tell you how many times it has proved itself. We would have spent thousands of dollars in claims had it not been for the video. Our drivers are safer drivers because of Lytx. What a doozy
Wheeere to start you might ask? Excellent question. I suppose it starts with a question for you, the reader. Are you the kind of person that loves intuitive…well anything? Great! Don’t get lytx. Are you a business owner who relies of the expedience of technical support when it matters most? I hear ya, I hear ya, me too! Don’t get lytx. A flagship product that’s reliable. Nope. I’m up to my eyeballs in CaseNumbers given to me for what I thought were simple problems that required yes or no answers. You get the feeling support is just itching to pass you off to someone else. Don’t get me wrong, no one has been rude, but no one has been knowledgable either. I feel as if they went knocking on people’s doors and asked, “What are you doing today? Nothing, great, here’s a headset.” I hear “we’ll contact you within 24-48hrs” in my sleep. The reliability of the cameras are questionable. I’ve had several hardware issues and other problems all within a year of installation. RUN. GET A GO PRO. FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING GREAT IN THIS WORLD I BEG OF YOU.

THE WORST...STAY AWAY
This is the worst vendor my company does business with...hands down. Unfortunately the first set of vehicles I purchased with my business already had their equipment installed, so I'm stuck unless I want to replace everything. And now I'm just about at that point.
I've ordered 3 new units from this company since February. The first took just under 2 weeks to receive, the second over 2 weeks, and the third is approaching 4 weeks and I still don't have it. I cannot run a vehicle without a camera. Just for this last camera, approaching a month delivery time, this company has cost me $20,000.
In addition, for the vehicles I purchased with existing units, it took this company over two weeks to transfer them from the prior owner to me. More lost revenue.
I compare them with my ELD supplier. When I order an ELD, it shows up 2 days later, with all the necessary equipment for installation. When I've worked with other companies to transfer units, it happens the same day.
Do not do business with this company, unless you enjoy adding up significant amounts of lost revenue they will cost you every time you need them. Period.

Lousy Support
Update to this review. LYTX promptly replied to my bad review, but still hadn't replied to my support requests. A couple days later I received a reply to "one" of my support requests, but it wasn't about what I had asked.... made the video requests for a reason, but not to wait weeks for them....
We have had LYTX cameras in our trucks for a few years now. I recently made two requests through their support email and received two ticket numbers. This is the third week and several emails later and I still have NOT received a reply on either issue. I have sent two follow up emails on each ticket number.
We are currently shopping to replace our cameras, LYTX is certainly not helping to promote theirs.

Shockingly bad service. 2-3 weeks respond time from Support, after you've reminded them. "Client Success" team was super helpful through setup/initiation but now that the contract is "Live" it takes days, if not weeks, for anyone to respond to a phone call or email. What few responses have come back lately are clearly copy-pasted/canned replies with no actual solution or help involved.
The website has been experiencing frequent outages, and rather than admit to an internal problem, users get "access unauthorized" sort of errors.
Internally, the asset management of linking drivers, departments, and vehicles, is an absolute rats-nest, and one error anywhere in the complex maze of connections will cause the whole thing to lock up and not work. Vehicles do not follow drivers or visa versa without manual input, events do not follow drivers in say the case of a department change, and have to be manually moved. It is not smart enough to know if a driver or a vehicle moves department, that its counterpart moves with it. It is not smart enough to see drivers outside any given department if you are trying to assign vehicles or events, or visa versa.
It's not smart at all, actually.
Cameras are already proving to be iffy too, sometimes not reporting, or bothering to turn on at all for no apparent reason.
The whole thing has been absolute torture.
UPDATE: As of June 2021, Support response time is 4-5 weeks, and that's only with constant pestering.

The customer service is horrible
The customer service is horrible. If the camera system is working then everything is fine, but if you have to contact support for any reason then you are in trouble. They will delay, delay, delay. They do not return phone calls or emails. The department "managers" can not or will not make a decision to help you and rather just tell you they are escalating the issue. I had and still have a very simple issue with a new camera that is under warranty. It could be resolved quickly by simply putting a new camera in the mail with a return label for the camera that isn't working properly. That simple. The technology is good when it works, but do your best to find the service from a company that has better customer service.

Absolutely terrible service. Product does not work and they still bill you.
“I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU THINK ABOUT USING LYTX”. Lytx is very unorganized and unprofessional. I’m sure there is other company’s out there that care about there customers.
I signed up with lytx in April 2020. They installed the cameras and I have had nothing but issues with them since day one. The sales team promised that lytx can be used on mobile devices but left out that there site is not compatible with safari. So I am unable to see anything on my iPhone. When logging into a computer the cameras do not record smoking in vehicles, they do not record 50-75% of the acceleration, hash braking, eating and many more of the features they say the cameras do. They make you sign a contract before installing cameras and showing they work. The cameras have never worked like they said it would. They are saying if I cancel I have to pay the full amount of the contract even tho the cameras have never worked properly and they have not fixed the issue.
I have been working with there tech support, and billing for 3-4 months now and I am not getting anywhere. We are still in the same place as when they installed the camera. This company is absolutely terrible and they are not willing to work with you even if the product does not work. Every time I call in and try to fix the issue they say let me make a case number and someone will reach out to you. They reach out and never fix the issue.

Failed when needed the most
We had Lytx install Lytx drive cam safety cameras in our fleet about 3 years ago. We have thankfully had very few instances that the cameras have been needed. We recently had the worst crash in our history, and a driver lost his life. We tried to "Force Upload" any videos for 3 days while on the phone with Lytx support. Finally we overnighted the camera to them. They have been in possession of the camera for 5 days now. We have received 9 videos from that day. The crash occurred at approximately 0745, we have received videos time stamped from 0718, then it jumps to 0909, none of them show anything about the crash. When we call in the person we speak with tells us they can not transfer or direct us to anyone else, that they will "elevate the case" and someone will be back in touch with us. This has not happened yet ether. No one can or will tell me why it is taking days to download seconds worth of video from their camera.

We love this camera/fleet tracking company. We have high ratings on our end, verses our friends using a competitor or two. They have very unfavorable reviews.

Your site is quick and easy to manage
Your site is quick and easy to manage. I've seen a couple other versions by competitors. They don't seem complete. They are trying to combine tasks to create a complete suite of services. They seem clunky and not focused on safety simply for the sake of safety. This is all you do and you do it very well.
