Purchased a vehicle through Match Me Car Finance that was faulty from day one, suffering from a severe gearbox fluid leak that was hidden from the start alongside multiple other mechanical issues. While they were quick to arrange the finance and sale, my experience once the fault emerged was entirely unhelpful, with complaints staff actively working to protect the dealer rather than the consumer.
During the dispute, complaints staff member Leeann provided misleading information regarding consumer rights, including advising me to ignore guidance from Citizens Advice and falsely claiming I was legally forced to use their chosen independent diagnostic garage—dismissing severe one-star reviews for the inspection company by claiming "even if they have 0 stars it doesn’t mean they are bad." When the initial independent diagnostic report actually backed my claim, they attempted to argue against it and push for secondary inspections until they got a result in their favour.
They also frequently relied on tri-party agreement arguments to complicate communication, failing to properly clarify that responsibility and ownership lie with the underlying finance company. Because brokers earn a commission, there is a clear conflict of interest where their main aim is protecting that payout. Do not speak to them or let them mislead you; they are only a broker with no final say in the matter—deal directly with your actual finance company instead. You also do not have to use their mandated diagnostic garage; you can in fact use your own independent mechanics. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if a vehicle is faulty from day one and backed with evidence, you have an absolute short-term right to reject it for a full refund within 30 days, and no amount of broker misinformation changes that law. Ultimately, after a stressful six-month battle, the Financial Ombudsman upheld my case in my favour. Prospective buyers should be extremely cautious and seek independent advice directly from Citizens Advice or the Financial Ombudsman rather than relying on the broker's complaints department.

My experience was awful with Ross was told to collect my car went to the location 10 miles away and the vehicle was not there, I Was then told by dealer the car is at a different location 120 miles away , I refused to take the car but Ross decided to pester me and tell me the car was being taken there after telling him twice I did not want it! Very unprofessional and seem desperate to take your money.

Steer clear
Do not get involved with this company. A £10,000 car will cost you the fat end of £18,000. And even when you tell them no thanks. And block their number you still get 10/15 voice mails a day. They are an absolute nightmare.
