This company sucks

This company sucks! Took two weeks to schedule delivery. On the day of delivery, they called to say their truck had broken down. There was then no communication until I was told delivery would be delayed another two weeks, so 3 in total. If you can get through to them on online chat, they are incredibly unhelpful and don't follow through with their promises to get back to you.

Ordered a round table and 6 chairs on…

Ordered a round table and 6 chairs on the 7th April with a promise date of early June. Called 3 weeks ago and told delivery date had been moved to 18th June ( note I had to call maze for them to tell me) as of today 25th June I have had not contact from Maze. Tried calling them 3 times on hold for 45mins and 1 hour cut off at 17.00 when they obviously go home. Appalling customer service and huge regrets ordering in the first place. Will update review if I ever hear from them. 😡😡😡

Faulty rattan weave

We spent £2400 on what we thought was quality garden furniture but less than 4 years later the rattan weave under the glass table top has disintegrated due to the sun and looks very unsightly. Contacted maze who have stated the weave is only guaranteed for 2 years but they did send me a repair kit. Unfortunately it is too badly damaged and when you touch the rattan weave it just breaks away. This furniture is not fit for purpose and just shows expensive doesn't always mean quality.

I paid £3500 and I’ve been completely ignored
I reported a fault with my product in November 2025 and we are now in May 2026 — seven months later and I am still without a resolution.

After chasing repeatedly in January, I was told they were “waiting for a part.” I followed up again in February and then sent several more emails which were completely ignored. The only reason I finally got a response was because I left a bad review online In march

Instead of fixing the issue, I was offered £150 store credit if I removed the review. I refused because I didn’t want compensation — I simply wanted the faulty product sorted. The item hadn’t even lasted 12 months.

On the same day, the manager personally called me and admitted there was a fault with the product. He promised me a complete replacement and said he would call me back the following morning once he had spoken to the manufacturer. I was also then offered £250 compensation alongside the replacement. I removed the review in good faith after being reassured this would be resolved.

That call back never happened. Neither did the credit or replacement

It is now 16th May and after chasing again, I’ve been told there is “confusion” and they are no longer sending a replacement — only a repair whenever the manufacturer can provide parts, with no timescale whatsoever. This completely contradicts what was promised to me in writing and over the phone.

The communication has been appalling, the customer service is shocking, and I genuinely feel like they only responded because of the public review. Seven months of chasing, broken promises, ignored emails, and still no resolution.

I would never purchase from Maze Living again.

Avoid ordering direct with Maze

I’d avoid ordering from Maze Living. I placed an order back in March but ended up cancelling due to ongoing delays and the lack of a clear delivery date. It’s a shame because I already have a Maze kitchen, and there quality of the items are very good from. Unfortunately, the customer service experience was really disappointing.

Quality and looks of our chairs and coffee table are good quality but i have to agree with bad customer service.sorry get your act together

We have had our outdoor furniture for…

We have had our outdoor furniture for less than 4 years. Two years ago we noticed all the rattan under glass table was breaking but today I have noticed that it is actually collapsing!!! Make sure you check your warranty, for the price you pay it simply is a rip off!!!

Appalling service

Appalling service! We spent a small fortune on a beautiful garden set from Next. 3 years on and the backing of our table has peeled away. It looks awful. So I contacted Next who said there was only a two year warranty and to contact maze. I spent umpteen days going back and forth by email trying to sort it. I was willing to pay for the replacement backing. I was told to try a different email address. I sent an email asking for help this morning only to receive a brief email back saying they don’t supply replacement backing and don’t sell individual tables either!
That was it! Great help…not!
Such a shame…rubbish customer service and rubbish quality table!

Now over 2 month waiting on the correct fire pit table we are now onto the 6th delivery of one corner sofa set.
Complete disaster of a company summer will be over before we receive correct items and all you get is we are so sorry 5500.00 worth of garden furniture i so so wish i spent my money elsewhere .So not only having to wait in for these 6 delivery's and still not resolved .and guess what oh we are so sorry wait another week to 2 weeks to deliver the wrong stuff again . A complete utter joke of a company

Please take the time to read reviews, I wish I had

I ordered garden furniture and paid in full – only for the company to send HALF the order to the delivery company. I’ve received NOTHING. They’ve been completely uncontactable, taking no responsibility and instead blaming the courier – despite the fact that they never shipped the full order in the first place.

The rest of the order? Apparently in stock, yet they have NO IDEA why it wasn’t dispatched. The level of communication is appalling, and their customer service is frankly non-existent.

After chasing and getting nowhere, I finally cancelled the order – and now they’re trying to charge me a CANCELLATION FEE. For an order they didn’t even deliver. I’m absolutely disgusted.

What makes it worse? I was about to place a second, higher-value order in the hope that I might have “better luck next time.” That won’t be happening – ever.

This company is a joke. Disorganised, unprofessional, and happy to take your money with no intention of fulfilling their end of the deal.

DO NOT TRUST THEM. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

How this company operates beggars belief

How this company operates beggars belief.

I had the misfortune to order a large U shaped set for around £2,800.

Immediately upon delivery I telephoned the company to inform them of:

1) damage to 2 table legs (badly bent)

and 2) damage to the inset ice bucket - unit was buckled and a handle was missing

It was clear the box had been dropped from height.
Whist on the call I emailed several images. I was assured that replacements would be sourced locally and that they would be in touch the following week.

The following week I received a very brief email offering me a small value voucher! as I could easily bend the legs back. No mention of the ice bucket!

I emailed again. I waited. I contacted them on Facebook. I recieved another email again offering a voucher to fix the issue of the bent legs myself! AGAIN NO MENTION OF THE ICE BUCKET.

I waited again......

I then received a further email offering a part refund if I could glue the handle back on. Aside of the fact that I'm not sure glueing a handle onto a stainless steel ice bucket would work, the bucket is buckled and doesn't sit correctly.

Ultimately I accepted a refund of £200, as I could see this company operates with such incompetence and a blatent disregard to the customer.

We did manage to straighten the legs with some difficulty after acquiring a scaffold pole for leverage.

The ice bucket remains useless. Completely useless.

I was then informed the refund had been processed.

THEY COULDNT EVEN GET THAT RIGHT!

Again I had to pester them and it turned out the refund had NOT been processed and it took days later to actually action.

You'd think a replacement ice bucket wouldn't be too much to ask. Sadly it was.

I remain totally disgusted at the treatment I've recieved from this company. My family and friends are utterly bemused at the fact that a large well known company could treat someone as badly as they have.

The buckled ice bucket sits in my garage with its missing handle. Maybe I'll find a use for it one day. One thing is for sure, it won't be to toast to the company Maze Living!

Corroded Leg

Bought a Maze Oxford corner suite in 2018 at the ideal home show from the Sterling furniture stand. It's still, to this day, in almost perfect condition. We always keep the cover on it and it's in a permanent gazebo so hardly get weathered. Contacted customer services this week as we noticed whiteish powder around the rear leg recently, then sat on the suite and the leg broke off - all looks to be corroded, only on the one rear leg. Was advised in a short email response that they'd never seen the likes before but outwith guarantee period so can't be fixed/replaced. Previously the customer service was fantastic when a couple of the joining clamps had broken but this is very disappointing for a £1500 suite which still looks brand new... not sure how I go about trying to get it repaired - anyone any ideas??

Whilst we understand you are disapointed, your set has been outside since 2018 and been used for 7 years. Aluminium doesn't rust, however it can corrode if the powder coating surface becomes damaged, which over 7 years is highly possible.

I'm pleased our team were able to assist you previously with the clips to help extend the life of your product.

Poor quality

Poor quality. Purchased a rattan fire pit set. The rattan has all broken and split and the ignition no longer works. They say the warranty doesn’t cover the rattan so is worthless. Buy elsewhere.

We purchased a dark charcoal L shaped…

We purchased a dark charcoal L shaped garden sofa from this company and it has always been too hot to sit on if it's a sunny and warm day. This year, after a sunny start to spring, the sofa started smoking when the sun reflected off the glass on our balcony. The fabric on all the cushions is burned through.
Fortunately I've been home to see the smoke and run out to cover the sofa with a towel but this could have been so much worse as our garden backs on to several other houses.

Since contacting the customer service representative we have been fobbed off with patronising "observations " that our wood panelling caused the burns - when the sofas aren't anywhere near them.

We were asked to take down our social media posts of the burnt cushions so this could be rectified and at the very least have new covers sent out. Weeks passed. No covers arrived. And now Elizabeth, the customer 'service ' rep who was dealing with this has completely stonewalled us. I have reached out several times and given no response.

So if you want to avoid faulty and/or dangerous garden furniture, followed by dreadful customer service, buy from a different brand.

We are sorry to hear you're unhappy with the responses to your issue. Firstly, i'd like to clarify that all our furniture is fully FR compliant and tested. Refracted sunlight can be incredibly fierce, and this is what has caused the damage to your set. It is not a fault of the set.

Regarding the response, we have offered to help by splitting the cost of replacement cushion covers for you as a goodwill gesture as we want you to be able to use your set again, however this was rejected. We also responded last week again so i'm confused as to why you feel you were ignored and i have seen the correspondence to both yourself and your husband.

If you wish to take up the offer of a reduced price of replacement cushions due to the damage sustained in your garden, please do get back to us by replying to the latest emails we have sent.

Porto garden set lasted less than 6 months

I purchased the Porto outdoor set from Maze in June last year, but within just six months, it was completely ruined. The beautiful wooden top layer peeled away, turning to sawdust, and the set is now an awful, patchy grey colour. It looks like it’s been neglected for years, despite not even lasting one summer.

I contacted Maze for support, but after waiting over a week for a reply and being passed between teams, I received a minimal email blaming me for not following instructions. As a customer who has spent thousands of pounds with Maze and was initially impressed with their furniture, I’m deeply disappointed. Their one-year guarantee feels like a token gesture, as they were unwilling to help beyond a patronising reminder to read the care guide and being told to sand the table down.

I strongly advise against purchasing from Maze and will not recommend them to anyone.

Hi Cait,

Our Porto collection is crafted from acacia hardwood, and as with all wooden garden furniture it requires regular maintenance. In this instance this includes sanding back and cleaning the wood which we advise doing twice a year and re-treating.

We have many aluminium ranges which require minimal maintenance however in this instance, the maintenance will be required.

A joke of a company

I recently had one of the most frustrating customer service experiences in years. This company could serve as a textbook example of how not to integrate sales, delivery, IT, and customer service teams. The lack of coordination between these departments is astounding.

To make matters worse, the delivery team was incredibly rude, merely pointing out that my no-show was due to their flawed delivery messaging system and deflecting the blame on their customers.

As of now, I am still waiting for my delivery and installation, which is scheduled for next week.
