Merry People Avis 

I wanted to like these boots, but they just came and when I put them on, they are NOT comfortable. They are plenty big (I wear a half-size shoe, so went up to the next full size, and that was fine), but they HURT my leg in front because they are so stiff. I read another review that they soften up with wear, so I'll try them around the house for a few days, but I need a shoe I can wear for 2 weeks of travel, and if these keep hurting the way they do now, these won't be it.

My boots arrived yesterday and i tried the first on and it was really uncomfortable, like I had something in my shoe. I took it off and checked and the lining was bent near where the soles meets the ankle. It sticks out a lot. I decided to try the other foot on to see if I liked the boots and would swap for a non faulty pair but the same issue was on that one - a lot less but still not a smooth inner and could be felt. So I went to the website and requested a return and refund as I decided if it’s on both boots, I don’t want to get them. Unlike normal returns, I didn’t get a label emailed immediately, I got a message saying it would be reviewed and a label sent. Today I get an email asking for photos - I don’t want to exchange, I hadn’t had them an hour when I requested to return & refund with the reason being a fault.
I replied to the photo request to say they are already packaged and I just want to return and get my money back. The reply to that was to go to the website to request a return - I have already done that - that’s why they emailed me!! So I thought, I’ll try again on the website to do the return and it’s stuck in ‘return under review’. This is such an infuriating process - I’ve never had to wait for a return label. It’s within 14 days distance selling rules so I can return and I want to get it done so I can get the refund back and not be emailing (no phone number available as I could get it sorted in a couple of minutes if I could talk to someone!)
I don’t usually write negative reviews but this is driving me nuts. I wouldn’t buy from them again, both due to the poor quality and the customer service system. I still don’t know how or when I will get the label through urgh! Hoping someone at Merry people may read this and sort it out.

I loved my Bobbi boots, they were so comfortable and practical but unfortunately after 12 months they developed a slight spit and were no longer waterproof. I did try and seal this but now the sole on the heal has completely gone in just over 18 months. It is such a shame as for the price you'd expect them to last longer.

I love the look and the colours but was so disappointed with the wear
I bought a sky blue pair in Oz and brought them back for dog walking on our French mountain - so I couldn’t return them because I’m too far away
The boots were hard to get on because the top is so tight. Slight soreness from rubbing while walking That’s ok Maybe I have huge ankles
Then they were so heavy and cluncky to wear they tripped me up Maybe I’m just clumsy
So bloody hot! My socks are soaked if I wear them Maybe I have sweaty feet 🤷‍♀️
I walked to two hours 3 days ago and my toes are so bruised and throbbing still - that’s it. I’ve just sold them on vinted for £50
I’ve worn them maybe 5 times. Hated them every time
Edit. Really lovely reply thank you. The boots were probably too big but any smaller and I wouldn’t have got them past my giant ankles. Gorgeous colours. Great idea. I wish they’d have worked for me. Thank you for your response

Fantastic customer service! I’ve had Merry People boots for some years now. I’ve just had a problem with a pair and they could not have been more helpful! Such a rare thing to find a company who actually cares about their customers. It will pay off tenfold. Well done Merry People!

I have a few pairs of Merry People boots and people aways comment on them!
They wear well and whilst quite stiff at first, they become more and more comfortable - especially with their Merry People socks.
Their customer service is great and purchases always arrive promptly.

This is my 2nd pair. Higher boots were the first order and then the clogs a few months later. Boots for muddy days and clogs just to walk from the house around the garden, and I just love them both for different reasons, both so applicable for my needs!

My pair of Bobbi ankle boots developed a split in the top of both boots where there is a crease in the rubber after only 18 months of minimal wear and storage inside. When I reached out to the company, they said this would happen if stored in sunlight; and as it was out of warranty there was nothing they could do. They suggested a mouldable rubber to fix the split, however there was no colour that matched the boots. I feel for the premium price, 18 months wear is completely unacceptable, particularly as the location, bilateral occurrence and type of fault is clearly indicative of the poor quality rather than overly excessive use. I would not recommend these given the short lifespan, and will not be purchasing again.

I love the Merry People brand. I've had my Bobbi boots for years, and my recent experience buying socks and a cleaning kit was seamless.

I absolutely love my wellies. They’re the comfiest shoe I have worn walking in so long and they genuinely keep your feel warm. Somehow I had a rip on both shoes and after getting in touch, they promptly told me I was covered on my warranty and replaced the wellies quickly. They even told me to keep the damaged pair to use gardening or for dry walks which I thought was a lovely touch.
I ended up getting my sister a pair too and she also thinks they’re the best walking welly she’s owned so far

Absolutely love my Merry boots, I've bought Tully's, Bobbi's and a pair of Andie's. As I work in a zoo they get used most days and I love that I can change it up a bit and add some bright colours to my work gear. I have neuropathy in my feet and these are one of the very few brands of footwear I can wear in comfort all day every day. Their customer service is amazing, delivery is quick and the website is engaging and easy to use

Merry People are very attentive throughout the whole process and warn you to check your sizing. They use an EU sizing which was something I wasn't used to. But because sizing your perfect fit can sometimes be a bit hit and miss, they offer a free exchange if you get it wrong. Any purchase over $50.00 is free delivery and free exchange. Great service!

I honestly couldn't live without my Merry People Footwear. I currently own 3 pairs of clogs and 2 pairs of boots, and I wear them all the time. The boots make bushwalks and rainy days a breeze because they look so great that you forget they are gumboots, but it is the clogs that have won my heart! They are amazing, so cute, and easy to wear...and did I mention comfort? Bliss in a boot. I have a spur in one heel and am prone to plantar fasciitis, but Merry Boots have banished all pain and possibly cured it! (I even wear my clogs instead of slippers! That is how comfortable they are !)

I have a pair of tall rain boots in beetroot red and a pair of clogs in rust. Both are super comfortable, really well made, and they look gorgeous. I’d originally purchased a different style of boot but when I tried them I didn’t love them (nothing at all wrong with them, they just weren’t quite what I thought I needed), so exchanged them - the exchange process was really easy, I got my new boots within a week and I was completely happy with how that all happened. Great customer service! I’m sure I’ll be back to order some more Merrys soon - I love the bright yellow boots, they look so fun!

As a vegan, it is hard to find shoes that are good for your feet, and not made from leather. Merry People are the best.
