I purchased a meile cx1 blizzard model SKCR3 in 2021on a good sale $499. First year was no issues then I needed to start replacing parts . I used it about 3 times a week . The issue I have is the parts are so over priced and expensive . First I needed to replace the floor head $120 then the thin plastic handle which spilt in a few places $151.98. The telescopic suction tube didn’t want to stay extended and was going to be another $115 . Now I need a new filter which you have to buy the whole plastic canister as well not just the filter for $170 . By now I could buy a whole new vacuum cleaner . Was with Dyson before and replacements were well priced and reasonable . Now I wish I didn’t make the change .

we purchased a Miele tumble dryer in September 23 , a T Excellence for 1200+ pounds, in late January it failed,
We called the engineers, they cam a week later and said it needed major new parts including a new drum !,
this they said would take another week, but failed to arrive long with the engineer, we have tried many time to contact their customer service dept, but hey just put us on hold until it cuts off, we have also tried to email but no response, if i were looking for an new tumble dryer or a washing machine i would choose any other company except Miele, they just want your money with no service what so ever.

Terrible customer service in NZ
This is not a review of the appliance but of the customer service. We paid for installation of the washing machine, but due to a missing part they couldn't complete the installation. We called Miele customer service daily to be told we would be contacted that day and this never happened. After 5 days of chasing we gave up and decided to do the installation with another company. Not sure if this is a Miele issue or the partners they use, but it is terrible service. No apologies from Miele or offer to quickly resolve it. I gave up and requested they refund me as I am sure I can sort this out on my own in half the time. I assumed that buying a high quality appliance would mean I receive high quality service, this is definitely not my experience and I would be wary on recommending them to anyone else.
Miele, Waschmaschine nach 7 Jahren Schrott
Nach 7 Jahren und 2 Monaten war Feierabend für die qualitativ hochwertige und langlebige Miele- Waschmachine (Das preiswerte Vorgängermodell eines deutschen Versenders hatte fast 20 Jahre gehalten). Der Miele-Werkskundendienst stellte nach einigen Messungen fest, dass es wirtschaftlich nicht vertretbar wäre, die Maschine zu reparieren. Nach Rücksprache mit Miele stellte er mir ein "Kulanzangebot" vor: für wieder mehr als 1000€ könnte ich ein neues Gerät bekommen. Da ich das Angebot ablehnte, wurde mir ein umgehendes Telefongespräch für ein ggf. verbessertes Angebot zugesagt. Nach einigen Tagen kam dann das bereits abgelehnte Angebot noch einmal per Mail. Kundendienst und -bindung sieht meiner Meinung nach anders aus.
Übrigens: Die Rechnung für den Kundendienst über 150€ kam bereits ein paar Stunden später nachdem der Techniker das Haus verlassen hatte.
Disappointed in after sales service
Really disappointed in after sales service after paying over $800 for a vacuum.
The turbo brush needs to be cleaned every week. The build up gets quite bad and it stops rotating. I took it in to Smiths and was told they’d send it away, but I’d have to pay for a deep clean.
Got to the point where I was cleaning it after every time I vacuumed. It eventually stopped rotating and I could no longer use it. I contacted Miele NZ who weren’t helpful at all. Saying I would need to pay for any repairs. I paid for a 7 year warranty, but that didn’t hold any merit.
Replacing the head would cost $249.
I will not be buying a Miele again.
Dismal service from Miele Outlet…
Dismal service from Miele Outlet store. £1200 dishwasher ordered from outlet store - arrived without three wheels (' everything is checked by an engineer' before despatch - utter nonsense). Paid for disconnection of old Miele machine and installation of new one delivery driver could not do it as ' he had never seen that connection before' and risked flooding the kitchen. I will say the delivery chap went above and beyond to fix this but could not. I have to ask what is the point of paying for a service Miele are unable to deliver. Then started the buck passing - ah we are only plug and play from delivery company ( again utter nonsense) and ah this must be an old connection from Miele - no it is not actually and was installed by a Miele engineer in the fist place. The aftersales person I can only describe as a blithering idiot as she fought to pass this off as my fault . I will update this as I have called the local Miele engineer who is at least competent and we will see what he says ! But so far 0/10 Miele and I expected a lot better. Update - the connection to the dishwasher is in fact broken -- so much for the factory inspection by trained engineers. A complete waste of my time.
Despite a number of emails I have not even had the basic courtesy of an acknowledgement of my cancellation a pick up of the faulty machine or anything remotely approaching an apology,30 August 2023 - apart from the below !
1 Sept 2023 Update John Lewis has just disconnected old appliance installed new and all done in under 20 minutes by top class professionals. I still do not have even a basic reply to four emails I have sent Miele Aftersales who are sitting on a grand of my money. Utterly useless and fortunately as I speak German the CEO of Miele Germany Dr Markus Miele will be getting an early Xmas card.
John Lewis today Friday 1 Sept) disconnected old machine installed new in under 20 minutes. Nothing from Miele UK aftersales and I have sent reminder every day since this company delivered me a machine that was already broken.
I am taking legal action if my emails continue to go unanswered.
Email received telling me the delivery people are ' not plumbers' and that the failure to disconnect the old and install the new was somehow my fault. I have again indicated willingness to take court action which has prompted them to give me two collection dates 7 Sept ( i.e. today ) and Tuesday 12 Sept. I do not think I have met a more inept and disrespectful outfit as this horrible little company. That this is even associated with the parent company in Germany is in my view really worrying as they are damaging the brand.

Shockingly poor follow up on faulty new appliance!
I bought a new fridge freezer and wanted to connect it to Miele@home app. This failed, I did some fault finding and it seemed that the appliance did not have the serial number encoded and as this is the Wi-Fi password for initial device connections this did not work.
I provided Miele all of this and they failed to register what the true issue was. Several weeks have passed, I've tried raising a complaint with Miele but their customer service say that I just have to wait and they are busy but can't tell me how long I'll have to wait....

Am 25.07.23 wurde unser neu erworbenes Miele-Herdset eingebaut. Leider hat das Ceranfeld einen Fehler. Bei Reklamationen, muss man sich direkt an Miele wenden 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️. Am 26.07.23 reklamiert. Die Servicemitarbeiterin hat uns doch tatsächlich den 08.08.23 als Nachbesserungstermin vorgeschlagen 👎👎👎. Nach langen Bitten kam wir dann auf den 04.08.23 in der Zeit zw. 7.30 - 19.00 Uhr. Kunden müssen doch auch arbeiten gehen. Die Frage, ob wir trotzdem darauf kochen können, könne sie nicht beantworten.
Bin it - total rubbish
If you love having technicians come to your house for months on end and want to save money by not having to purchase coffee beans, this is the machine for you. Ridiculous service, without a functioning machine for months on end and they refuse to replace it.
Really cheap feeling brand that does nothing like advertised.
Shocking brand and really cheap when you actually try to use it. After sales are useless and the costs associated suggest it should be brilliant. It is far from that. We purchaseda vacuam in Miele Edinburgh and it had broken within six months. They obviously have an automated response system that makes it very difficult to speak to anyone. In fact there complaints process is so complicated it is not do able. We are throwing the vacuam in the Rubbish now and will never purchase from Miele again.

Their website is totally misleading with regard to what you might expect in terms of Delivery & Installation Service.
And Good luck trying to get through to the appropriate After Sales Team. I wasted 2 hours waiting for someone to pick up (2 separate occasions of approx an hour each) and a further 2 hours getting excuses for their poor service.
Apparently it takes such a long time to get through to the Sales Experience Team due to the volume of calls and low staffing levels !! Clearly a huge volume of people ringing with complaints and Bad Experience becasue I dont know many people who are prepared to wait over an hour for the phone to be picked up in order to report a Good Experience !
Avoid this company like the plague. They may have been good long ago but they certainly are not now. The delivery and installation plus after sales service is appalling the worst I have ever experienced.
Awaiting refund of almost 4k for two machines including stacking kit) told them to cancel the order for 1 yet to be delivered and come and take away the one that has been delivered . Now I have up to 14 days wait for the refund to come through - yet more inconvenience as I cannot order replacements from a reputable manufacturer until I have my money back.
I am also pursuing compensation for my phone calls plus the huge inconvenience, stress and hassle of trying to deal with this company post sale and in particular for the fact that they have published completely misleading information regarding their delivery and installation service on their website. If they do not compensate for this then I will without doubt be pursuing them through the relevant Trading Standards/ Consumer Rights Bodies.
It is disgusting that they charge what they do and fail to provide ANY acceptable level of service let alone what they falsely promise to provide.
The only positive comments to be found are when a properly qualified service engineer has been sent out - which costs a significant sum as you might imagine ! But as for their 3rd party delivery partners - these people are delivery men. They are not properly qualified to commission and check functionality of any machine or qualified to carry out electrical safety checks. 'EXPERT' they are not !!

So, Where Did Mile Get The Good Reputation From?
I came here thinking I was going to be leaving a rare 1 star review, but WOW!
I bought a Miele washing machine in 2017 and took out the extended warranty, covering it 5 years parts & labour.
This is not a wind-up one day before the Miele warranty expired, the machine started jumping across the kitchen and making a realy loud banging noise.
We were going out that morning, so couldn't ring the CS straight away, so called them on a Sunday......no bleedin' answer. So called them the Monday and was told nope, your cover has expired and would not even entertain the fact that the washer packed up ONE day before expiry but I couldn't report it due to them not answering the damn phone.
Luckily, we had a D&G policy which covered 3 kitchen appliances, but guess who I had to contact with a D&G reference number? Yes the Miele CS.
After over an hour on the phone chatting to a clueless agent, asking the most inane questions about the fault, I got an appointment nearly 4 weeks later.
My guess is that the engineer will land and say he needs a part and as some have said it will be another 3 weeks.
Where did Miele get their good reputation from, because from what I've experienced, they are one of the worst.

Expensive vacuum which just disintegrated on use....under 12 months old.....guarantee doesn't cover this - wow there's a surprise - so need to buy new head - they have my details on file but need the serial number of the vacuum which I can't find....customer service useless as is product.......
The “Miele T1 Excellence” is ineffective
The Miele T1 Excellent is a major disappointment. Over the last 30 years I have bought various Miele appliances. With the exception of this tumble dryer, the rest have been good to excellent. This tumble dryer does NOT dry on any of its cycles unless its run for 4 hours or more which I won’t do. Bed linen, towels etc have to be air dried which defeats the purpose of buying this extremely expensive but useless tumble dryer. I will be complaining to Miele as the machine is barely 6 months old.
Miele Cashback claims dishonestly rejected
Purchased a Miele washing machine via ao.com, with a Miele £50 cash back offer. Miele's agents rejected the cashback claim on the basis that ao.com "wasn't a registered Miele distributor" even though they knew that it was. When I complained to Miele and their cashback agent I was told that they had rejected all of the cashback claims in the first instance, regardless of whether they were valid or not (so unless you disputed the rejection you wouldn't receive the promised cash back, and when I did dispute it they accepted the cash back claim then delayed payment by a further 3 months). This is a very dishonest and devious practice that reflects very badly on Miele, and I wouldn't buy another Miele appliance.

Been waiting over a fortnight for the collection of my vacuum. Everytime I call, I am fobbed off with another tracking number. Absolutely the worst customer service. You would hope that given the price oft he products they would have invested in their customer service and repairs sections.

The worst customer experience Of my life and it’s still on going and very little has been resolved. No one picks up; on hold for hours; no reponses to emails; spent £3k on 2 washer dryers; no receipt sent; hours chasing up receipt after payment taken promptly; washer dryers dumped on street by delivery company; still no refund for the delivery service and connection and recycling which was paid for; just written to managing director of company; I will never purchase a Miele again!!!!!
Don't believe the hype
I'd had enough of unreliable dishwashers so I went the extra mile and bought two Miele machines. £1,000 each! 4 times the cheapest alternatives. One for us and one for my parents. Both Miele machines have failed within 3 years of purchase. A repair by Miele is £269 or more than 25% of the purchase price and indeed the same price as replacing the Miele machine with cheaper alternatives. Don't believe the hype. Miele are eye wateringly more expensive but in my experience no more reliable than other brands. Will never buy anything with Miele on it again.
