Quality not as expected. Vacuum broke down 4 years after it was bought. All they can offer is a service that costs 50% of the item. Will never buy this brand again

Very poor service
Very poor service when there is a problem with the items but their quite happy to take your money. I brought a Miele washing machine that cost me £800 and it has trashed loads of our clothes and they come out smelling foisty. It got taken in for repair by Hughes. They couldn’t see a fault and returned it back to me. I still have a problem with it as it’s not washing my clothes properly and shakes like mad. Bumping into my brand new tumble dryer. I called Hughes again and they said I should contact Miele. Miele said that Hughes shouldn’t of got involved and I should have gone straight to them. My 10 year warranty that I paid for on top of buying the washing machine is apparently non existent now!! I wouldn’t recommend Hughes and will never use them or Miele ever again with all the problems I have had for over a year now. I have a baby with severe eczema and allergies so she has been very sick and I’ve not been able to wash our clothes with my Miele washing machine so have had to buy a new one. I have gone for a Bosch this time and don’t have any of the problems I had before. Also the Miele has to be put on a solid floor which I wasn’t told about when purchasing and it has now loosened bolt from how much it has knocked about and also damaged my dryer.
You’re buying a pose, not quality any more.
Before owning a Miele, the concept seemed seductive; they will cost more but last a long time thus in the long run cheaper and better for the environment. My Miele dishwasher cost more than twice the price of comparable competitors and two years in, the plastic handle is broken off. On breaking, I discovered how cheaply the appliance is made. There’s no reinforcement whatsoever, just cheap, thin, brittle plastic. I was a month out of warranty but customer services couldn’t care less. It’s hundreds to repair and £80 for the part alone. (The whole front panel needs replacing, it’s an integrated handle) The repair isn’t worth doing because they replacement will be the same weak, cheap design. Amusingly it sits with an ‘Always better’ slogan, broken, near a cheapo but excellent Beko fridge freezer which has given no issues in 10 years. Don’t fall for the middle class pose. Waste of money.
Vacuum Cleaner - Miele 10455360 STB 305-3 TurboTeQ Brush Head
First, let me say that this brand is one of the best in the world. WE have had cleaners, stove top and the amazing top of the line dishwasher - all the very best out of everything. But!
But when it comes to the latest vacuum cleaner, the unit itself is pretty amazing, but then what makes it fail miserably is the actual cleaning head. It gets stuck in the carpet, so we bought the turbo head that has rotating brush (Miele 10455360 STB 305-3 TurboTeQ for Quick Removal of Hair and Fluff) and this also failed miserably. Absolutely shocked at how such an amazing company can get everything so right, yet fail so badly with one of their other products.
Worst customer service
Worst customer service. I feel like the reps need additional training on how to be in customer service. I called their parts department to ask for a part for my steam oven and the representative was very rude and unhelpful. It was like prying teeth trying to get any help with my issue. He/She spoke to me as if I was the dumbest person on the planet.
In the end I wasn't even able to get help because the person I emailed gave me the number for the US customer service when I needed the Canada customer service.
Μην αγοράζεται προϊόντα Miele !
Αγόρασα ένα Miele πλυντήριο πιάτων στις 05/12/2015 από την Mega Electric στην Λεμεσό στην τιμή των €640,00.
Προ έξι μηνών χάλασε ο σωλήνας εξαγωγής του νερού και ένας τεχνικός που κλήθηκε μου εξήγησε ότι ένα μικρό πλαστικό έκλεισε τον σωλήνα εξαγωγής νερού. Στην ερώτηση μου εάν χρειάζεται να αλλάξει οτιδήποτε εξάρτημα μου είπε όχι.
Το ίδιο ακριβώς επαναλήφθηκε μετά από δύο μήνες, με πλαστικό να κλείνει και πάλι τον σωλήνα εξαγωγής νερού. Μου εξήγησε και πάλι ότι αυτό είναι κοινό πρόβλημα στο πλυντήριο αυτού του τύπου
Αυτή την φορά, το πλυντήριο σταμάτησε να εργάζεται τελείως και τεχνικός της Miele Κύπρου μου ζήτησε €321,00 για να αλλάξει μια ηλεκτρική πλακέτα. Δηλαδή το ήμισυ της τιμής που πρωτοαγοράστηκε το μηχάνημα πριν από τρία χρονιά!!!
Το θεωρώ απαράδεκτο και αντιεπαγγελματικό σε ένα σχετικώς καινούριο μηχάνημα να ζητούν τόσα πολλά λεφτά στα πρώτα τρία χρόνια από την αγορά του μηχανήματος.
Εξετάζοντας περεταίρω το πρόβλημα της Miele στο διαδίκτυο βρήκα πληθώρα παραπόνων και οι περισσότεροι σχολιαστές δίνουν μόνο ένα αστέρι από τα πέντε, για την ποιότητα των συσκευών Miele. Αν κρίνω από την προσωπική μου πείρα και την αντιεπαγγελματική συμπεριφορά των αντιπροσώπων της Miele στην Κύπρο τα σχόλια δεν με εκπλήττουν καθόλου.
Ασφαλώς δεν επέτρεψα στην Miele να αντικαταστήσει την ηλεκτρική πλακέτα και πέταξα το πλυντήριο πιάτων της Miele και αγόρασα καινούριο πλυντήριο SIEMENS και Με 5 χρόνια εγγύηση για €450,00.
Installation Disaster Miami
Purchased from Bell's Appliances in Miami. I was assure that the salesperson had spoken directly with her contact at Miele and they had 100% of my order in stock. I was told to wait and I'd hear about installation by my deadline of November 30th. By late November I had hear nothing. I called into Miele - they had my order, but seemed to have no idea if or when they planned to install. Further, they had my order wrong and suggested they didn't carry at least one or two items that I ordered (wrong colors etc.).
I spoke to Bell's Appliances and they said that I had nothing to worry about. They had spoken to the main Boca Raton Showroom and a person named Dennis and he had assured them all was fine.
I waited nearly 2 more weeks for installation to come - I had purchased everything seemingly one could (cooktop, 2 hoods, combi-steam oven, regular over, dishwasher, teppanyaki, bbq, etc.) - 30-40000 in expenses. Their team showed up, claimed my contractor didn't have one of the items set up right (my contractor has shown me their pre-inspection report and that they did in fact complete everything). If it was true then two of the items would not have worked I believe. By the time they left the dishwasher was not installed at all (had nothing to do with their notes), the teppanyaki and bbq did not work, the combi-steam oven did not work, and the cooktop did not work.
After complaint after complaint, text after text, call after call, they came back again - by the time they left the steam oven was still not correct (wrong color from what i ordered, doesn't work right) and even though I have had professional gas companies out 2 times so far, the cooktop still does not work.
Thereafter they sent yet another person out who was going to fix the oven. He brought the wrong trim and replacement kit. He drove back to his offices came back to me and then proceeded to not install it right. In he process i have a scratched cabinet which would be thousands to replace, cannot open or close that cabinet properly and the trim is dangling. He later in the day explained to me he does not do installation and had never done this before - he is a technician supervisor which seems to mean he oversees or manages the team but doesn't go out on these calls so was just helping out to try to save face for the local folks. It didn't work.
All the time Haley calls us - rude, rude, rude - demands information, forces days and times upon us and never has a nice word, apology or bit of understanding. In terms of time off I estimate I have lost more than the price of the kitchen in lost income - my child lives with workers and drilling regularly and I have had to adjust my travel schedule 3-4 times to accommodate their failures and demands.
Looking back, I would have paid double to pick any other company other than Miele. I asked to speak with an executive team member to share my frustrations - they avoid that out of fear I believe. I have asked them to correct things on now 4 occasions I believe a month or so after installation was to be complete. We eat out nearly every night as the kitchen is not finished and we are concerned about using the appliances. Their techs seem extremely incompetent although not unfriendly.
In the last decade this has been the worst experience with a vendor we have ever seen from the second we purchased and they had our money forward literally everything feels like it has gone wrong. I have tried to provide a review here that is accurate and reflects my opinions of what I have seen occur. I even encouraged Miele and Bells to attempt to resolve this before it resorted to sharing these realities online. They unfortunately have not done so and while this will do nothing to benefit me, my hope is others considering this brand or appliance store vs. any others will always choose any other option. The products seem great though we'll see, but the reality is that with Gaggenau, Wolf, and many others who might treat you well or have competent people ensuring success I'd go elsewhere. I could be far more scathing and outline many more blunders and poor interactions, but I feel this is fair and clear.
