Mont Adventure Equipment is an independent Australian company founded in Canberra in 1981. We're serious gear users and stand by our product. After years of frustrations with the poor quality of adventure clothing and equipment available, Monty had enough and made something better, something he could rely on. In 1978, using a borrowed sewing machine, he made himself a sleeping bag, down jacket and tent. Friends were impressed by his creations, and commissioned pieces. A reputation for quality gear quickly spread and in 1981 Mont Adventure Equipment was founded. While Mont has long since outgrown Monty's small unit in Canberra, Australia, he still directs the company and works closely with a passionate team on the design and testing of all Mont products. As dedicated adventurers ourselves, quality is never compromised just to save a few cents. To this day Mont Adventure Equipment is still privately owned, based in Canberra, fiercely independent and totally committed to better gear for the wild. Unfortunately faulty product
I bought this raincoat because of the weight and how small it packs into my backpack. My husband has one and is great. Unfortunately mine wasn't watertight at all and I got very wet on the fortnight day of a 6 night hike in NZ! Fortunately the rest of our days were in sunshine, but the worry stayed with me.
I have returned the faulty product and asked for a full refund. Maddie answered promptly with a Reply Paid address to return by post. I'm now trusting the process and waiting for the money to be refunded.

Amazing jacket - ACTUALLY FULLY waterproof
Simple: I bought an AMAZING jacket which is actually genuinely waterproof. It's not rock bottom price wise but simply its worth every cent and still more reasonable than that Arc' competitor product!!!!
