Mr Solar Avis

Our solar inverter packed up working after 9 years. Solis the manufacturer did not seem interested in helping so
contacted Mr solar pv they arranged for a new unit and an electrician to install it, very helpful clean tidy and polite, will would be very happy to use again.

Placed an order for some panels on their website and paid, had all the conformation emails but heard nothing more. Chased up nearly a week later to see what was happening and originally told my order didn't exist! When they did find it, all I got was a refund and a fairy tale that despite the website showing 100s in stock, they where all broken and they couldn't find 9 good ones for my order. Yeah - whatever. Usual online jokers advertising stock they don't have. Created a costly problem for ourselves and no interest in sorting out their mistake. There are plenty of excellent solar equipment providers out there - Mr Solar is not one of them........

EDIT - Yes this is the correct company - *Trustpilot, full order and email chain available if required*

Just had a GivEnergy system installed by Mr Solar and I'm very impressed.
Everything from initial discussions with Ian about what I thought I needed and his recommendations, to the survey, quotation and install were handled quickly and professionally.
Communication was excellent with Ian's team keeping me up to date and well informed throughout the process and the installation carried out by Russ, Luke and Ash is very neat and unobtrusive.
I'm now checking my GivEnergy app every 5 mins and marvelling at how little I'm relying on grid energy.
Thanks for dragging me into the 21st century.

Excellent Service Realised my solar panels were not working at the weekend and contacted Mr Solar. They gave me really good advice and various options all at a competitive price. I advised I was going on holiday soon and they went over and above expectations to replace my inverter before I went away. The electrician took time to ensure the meter was fitted and collaborated before leaving and downloaded the app on my phone and demonstrated how to use the features. Would highly recommend this company. Thank you

I purchased an integrated 16 panel solar Pv system, with Givenergy 9.5Kw battery and associated Givenergy components. I found the whole experience from the initial visit by Ian, to the system commissioning, to be all I could have expected. I was very pleased with the advice and information provided by Ian, prior to ordering. I also found the care and attention to detail, from the installation team to be very reassuring. I was completely satisfied with the system, the installation and the high level of customer service provided to ensure the system I purchased was appropriate for my needs. Overall a very satisfying 5 star experience, and I would recommend Mr Solar (and the Givenegy system).

Products well priced, everything explained before commitment to buy.
Always arrived on time.
Installation completely hassle free.
Always available on phone for advice or after sales

I had several Solar quotes from different providers, all appeared over priced in my opinion and some including home visits over several hours with well rehearsed sales pitches. What initially appealed to me with Mr Solar was the simplicity of the process, no sales pitch, no pressure. Strong advice, clear and simple pricing, followed by polite, clean, professional installation. I can’t fault them!

Mr solar upgraded the system on our new build. An extra 6 panels were installed, and a battery system in the loft. A few months later we had him install another battery so we can charge over night when electricity is cheaper on top of the charge we get from the sun. We now have much cheaper bills than most people and we are also charging an EV.

Great company. Very professional. Very competitive with good aftercare

replaced a faulty inverter in a very awkward loft. did a sterling job, the guys were friendly and helpful, and tha lady in the office couldn't have helped more. Would thoroughly recommend.

Just had solar panels fitted by Mr Solar and already saving on electricity on a dull January day! Ian was very informative when doing the quote (which was competitive). The fitters, Russell and Haydon, were excellent - hard working, polite, respectful and tidy, even when they were on the roof in a snow storm. Early days but looking good.

I purchased my system from Mr Solar just over a year ago and have had excellent performance from the system. I view my daily intake etc from an app on my phone. Due to building works near to me, we recently lost internet connection for over 4 days and nights. When we got the net back, I noticed my app had re connected but changed. I was getting power from the panels but the battery wasnt giving it up when needed. On an off chance, I phoned Mr Solar,s office on a Saturday for help and within a couple of hours, Ian was on the phone sorting the problem remotely.
He had got my message while at home but chose to respond anyhow. I cant tell you how rare and valued that kind of service is in this day and age and a serious point to consider when considering who to purchase your system from. Thanks Mr Solar.

Wanted to use a local company for our install and was pleased to find Mr Solar in Gorleston, Ian was very quick to organise a visit, answered all my questions in detail and created two system quotes for our needs. After deciding to go ahead installation was within a very quick time frame , installers were polite, accommodating and did their best for our personal situation, so far pleased with the system and the support offered by Mr Solar, there is a little or lot to learn about these systems depending on your depth of interest and this will be a long term investment with regular contact and support required to modify and maintain with the changing seasons. So far so good, nice to experience good service locally.

We already had solar panels under the original FIT scheme and recently a friend had had a large installation installed complete with batteries, we weren't sure if adding a battery to our system would be beneficial but Ian explained in detail - we had another company who basically just said yes you'd benefit! - so having this info we were happy to go ahead, the battery was installed in May and has definitely saved us money but more importantly it has giving us flexibility to use the stored electric in the evenings rather then feeling we have to do everything during the free 'sun' time.

We are five months into our installation and are very impressed with how the system is working for us. The installers were very efficient and went the extra mile yo overcome some minor issues with the solar panel locations on the roof.

We are now exporting back to the grid and our energy supplier is now calling us as essentially self sufficient over the summer months and with cheap overnight electricity on our current tariff we should see minimal electricity charges over winter, obviously still having a standing charge but our electric usage will be at the cheap rate charging the batteries overnight for daytime use.

Very happy with the support given by Ian at Mr Solar as well.

Good choice to go solar with Mr Solar.

Just had bird guard mesh installed around solar panels by Mr Solar very pleased with the speed and efficiency at Mr Solar and his team just one week from first phone call to job completion

My father had had batteries fitted to his solar panels via another company not by Mr Solar, but when it came to put in his figures for his payment, they had generated very little. He contacted the company who promised to come out on numerous occasions but never came back. Dad contacted Mr Solar who was happy to help and found the inverter had not been set up right. Thanks to mr Solar everything is back up and running. We are very grateful.

Great service from start to finish from Ian and the team. Ian made the initial home visit to discuss my options and review what as already installed. The supplied quote covered all my requirements at a great price and the installation was all completed in good time. I would thoroughly recommend them and find local companies to be far cheaper and professional than the 'cold calling' national ones!

Recently had my solar panels and battery fitted by Mr Solar. A throughly professional service from start to finish. I’m very happy with the new set up. I would recommend them to anyone thinking of getting solar Panels fitted.

Mr Solar did a really good job of my PV and Battery system. On completion also provided good support to get things running and understood.
