I booked an end of tenancy cleaning service with MyConstructor after reading positive reviews and expected the process to be straightforward. After booking, I was initially contacted by a company called Smart Booking, but a different company, CleanCore (Contact number : 07429167125) , eventually attended the property instead.

The service was originally scheduled for 10:00am. At around 10:30am, I was informed the cleaners could not attend until later that day, which I agreed to. Then, after multiple attempts to locate the cleaners throughout the day, I was told at around 5:00pm that they could only attend the following day, which I also accepted.

The cleaners eventually arrived the next day, around 30 minutes late. Upon arrival, they immediately demanded additional payment on the basis that the flat was furnished and therefore required more work. I refused, as every end of tenancy clean I have previously arranged has involved furnished properties as standard.

Rather than carrying out the cleaning, the cleaners spent around an hour arguing with my mother about what was included in the service, while taking photos to show they had attended. They then left the property without completing the cleaning, leaving the flat largely untouched.

I attempted to contact MyConstructor by both phone and email on the same day but received no meaningful response. I was told that all disputes had to be handled through a ticketing system. Despite following up repeatedly and providing the requested information, three days later I still had not received any resolution or substantive response.

Overall, this has been an extremely stressful and disappointing experience.
