I took the premium offer and was not disappointed. The accountant assigned to me was not only competent but also very easy to talk to. She answered my unstructured questions with ease, making sure I understood and that my tax returns were correct. I had always prepared my returns on my own, struggling to fill them in, due to an international move mid year, I decided to get help and was not disappointed with my choice. It was also an easy choice, myexpat taxes was recommended to me by friends and the internet. The tool itself was easy to use so I will continue to use the service even if my situation becomes simple again.

The price keeps going up, but what you get keeps getting worse. I have to pay extra for services that were included before (freelancer income). And the subscription plan is a typical scam... get people to put all their data in and establish a comfort level with the product to make it harder for them to switch to another provider, and then jack up the price.

I have used MyExpatTaxes for quite a few years. It’s become more complicated but still a very good service. I can recommend them.

The user interface was very smooth, and the nuances of expat filings were highlighted in useful ways that I haven't had with services like TurboTax. I paid for the premium package due to some investment filings I wasn't sure how to do, and the interaction with MyExpatTaxes was very smooth, prompt, and professional.

Easy to follow prompts. Easy to stop in the middle of preparing a return and come back later and pick up right where one left off. Does a very good job of integrating the Foreign Tax Credit calculations into the preparation.

US Expat Taxes couldn't have made my filing any easier. After last year's setup, this year went so fast I forgot I was filing US taxes! I especially like how the entire process is customized for expats so there's no need for circuitous settings like there are with the big stateside tax services. I'll be coming back each year for the peace of mind that they know what they're doing.
