Accommodation Not Cleaned

We arrived at the property at 3.30pm on the Friday - which had not been cleaned and was uninhabitable.
No clean beds, no clean towels, crumbs and food on the floor, rubbish bags in the yard – this list goes on.
We called the My Property Host agent who said it would be sorted ASAP – we left our cases and popped out for a while. We returned at 6.30pm and the cleaning had still not been done.
After another lengthy conversation with the My Property Host agent, they said, as it was a Bank Holiday weekend, they could not guarantee that the property would be cleaned that day.
Under the circumstances – as we couldn’t wash there and had no guarantee that we could sleep there - we had to arrange alternative accommodation for the Friday evening.
Upon arrival back to the property on the Saturday a basic clean had been carried out but not all issues had been resolved - the level of the cleaning was just enough to allow us to stay on the evening of the 24th.
We took this up firstly with Booking.com, explained to them that we required, at the very least. half the accommodation cost refunding plus full reimbursement of the alternative accommodation - an insulting offer was made from My Property Host of £125 – which we rejected, of course.
The next stage was to speak direct to My Property Host – which, to date, I have done twice, along with an emailing them.
It is now two weeks down the line and no one has got back to us yet – I guess we’re being ignored.
This is just not good enough – both the state of the accommodation and the handling of our complaint.

SCAMMERS

Scammers. We booked our stay beginning of April and up until the day before our stay they were responding to messages re our stay. What they failed to mention is that the hotel, the apartment is in, has gone to administrators 5th of May so our booking was cancelled. When we arrived to check-in (they had the cheek to confirm the day before!!), we (and many more scammed clients of theirs) were greeted by building security and court letters all over the entrance door. All communication obviously suddenly ceased and they simply gone unresponsive. Shameful scammers. On a positive note, we contacted Airbnb and they were quick to refund all the very same evening with a little bonus added for the inconvenience.

Disappointing experience

Disappointing experience. Our Airbnb booking under another property management company was cancelled and I was told the property had been taken over by my property host. I was assured that I could rebook with them and I wouldn't lose my booking. However, my property host insisted that they weren't managing the property either, and so I spent the morning going between the two trying to find a resolution. Eventually I had to book elsewhere as I wasn't getting anywhere with either party and our trip is next week. Not sure which one of the companies is truly at fault but I shouldn't have had to chase this up myself, there should have been better communication between the two. A little ridiculous, honestly.

Very poor management

We a landlord and have used MPH to manage our property for 12 months, it was not a happy ending. We had a lot of missing and broken items that they promised to replace but they did not, the bills went sky rocket high and we've noticed the radiator had been left on for days. They have not returned with us with all the key fobs. The management was not responsive, I have made complaint previously but things have not been followed through. To even to speak to the right person I have to per-arranged time for the meeting and she failed to stick with the scheduled time. We have end the contract now but still dealing with all these issues.

Agree, absolute scammers

I used 'my property host' to book a apartment in the Newspaper Building in Blackburn, I'm on business there during the week and had stayed for 4 weeks previously, the building is shabby, lift doesn't work, I was told the fire alarm wasn't working prooerly so they have 2 men at the front door doing fire watch, the place is just barely acceptable, I stayed in the basement rooms but smelt of damp, I ignored all this because it was a convenient location, it was booked through Booking.com so thought it would be a safe bet, wrong assumption, there are signs in the flat and emailed to you saying if you don't empty your rubbish at the end if your stay in the correct bin you will be fined £200 and it's on cctv, when I went to empty the bin it was just a chaotic pile of black bin bags in the car park, every bin was the same colour and overflowing, the main problem and the reason for reviewing them is I checked into the apartment, bear in mind the furniture is all mega cheap flat pack stuff, I sat in the bed and the bottom slats fell through, tried to fix it but most of the slats were already broken from before on both sides of the bed, went to sleep and it collapsed again, I reported it to the agent girl that meets you and she apologised and said she'd fix it, didn't happen, offered another apartment but didn't want to pack and repack for one more night, slept in it again and it collapsed again, so slept in the sofa, 2 days later I received an email charging me £240 for damage to the bed! I thought they were joking, but no, tried emailing phoning, they don't reply, asked for the area manager to reply 4 times, no reply, when I went this week the agent that met me said he cleans the rooms and all the beds are broken in most of the apartments they rent out there, really thin slats and the bed is bizarrely only 12 inches high off the floor, probably cheaper option, they charged my card fraudulently and without my permission, I am now dealing with booking.com and my card company to get the money back, please take this advice, they are not interested in letting the apartments they are interested in falsely charging people money for so called damage, there is a similar review on here from a guy that got charged £300 for a scratch on a kitchen cupboard, I'm guessing the letting agency get commission on this or similar, I was going to be booking for a year and they didn't care about me so they won't give 2 hoots about a 1 or 2 night stay, I'm a business guy and don't damage anything I'm there to work, I won't be scammed by people like this and I will get my money back, they are on booking.com listed as central Blackburn 1 bed apartment 'spacious or smart or fantastic' what a joke, they are all in the same place, they have about 20 apartments in the same Building called the Newspaper Bullding near the station, I hope this review saves you the scam and hassles I have had, that's what Trustpilot is for, avoid at all costs.

Absolute scammers

Absolute scammers! Avoid this company at all cost! I was silly to not read the reviews on booking.com before booking! Do not leave a security deposit they will not give it back to you!! They accused us over a week later that we had damaged a door during our stay and they need to replace it and said they would be charging our card an additional £326 without our consent. No evidence of the damage door was provided so I asked for photos. Approx 4 days later I received photos of a kitchen unit which had scratches on the surface and advised that these damages were not there before we arrived so the charges still stand! Absolutely shocking!!! Some funny looking door I tell you that!!! I had assured them the property was left how it was when we arrived. We also have video evidence of this as have to be careful as we stay out a lot due to work and come across these type of people on occasions. They have refused to give our security deposit back and I have had to report them for fraud! Please be careful…they are also on other platforms like air Bnb. Disgusting behavior and have seen from reviews they have done this many times before! Avoid at all costs!!!

Perfect for a short stay

The entrance is having work done on it, not very nice. The lift doesn't work. Other than these points, the apartment was in a perfect location, well maintained and very clean.

I had a fantastic stay—everything was smooth, comfortable, and perfectly managed thanks to Miele. She was incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive throughout. The room was spotless and well-prepared, and communication was effortless from start to finish. Miele went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. Highly recommend staying here—five stars without a doubt!

Great host!

Overall, I had a great experience with this company. Initially, my first impression was not good. My host did not arrive on time and I was outside. The representative Kieran took me into my apartment in Digbeth and was very apologetic that the agent did not arrive, showed me a tour of the room and informed me about local eateries and pubs nearby.

My room was spacious, modern and super clean. Contact with the rep was consistent during my stay. The checkout was explained and easy to follow. I'll be back if available.

The location of the suites is very good. Communication was excellent, and our host Miele was very kind and shared information that helped us during our trip (suggestions for places to visit and eat).

Filthy Apartment

Filthy Apartment, Disgusting Building & Terrible Customer Support

I booked this apartment through Booking.com, and it was an absolute nightmare.

The apartment was filthy—there were traces of feces in the toilet, mold covering the ventilation grilles, a yellow-stained wall behind the sink, and a horrible smell throughout. The sofa and pillows reeked of sweat, the kitchen utensils were low-quality, and to top it off, I even found women’s underwear inside the sofa—absolutely disgusting! The bathroom door handle was ripped out, the flooring was soft and uneven, and the windows were filthy.

The building itself is just as terrible. The car park and rubbish area are infested with rats, and the entire building stinks due to garbage abandoned everywhere. The hallway carpets are stained and reek of old trash, and to make matters worse, management had already reported past rat infestations inside the building! The elevators are vandalized, and the whole place feels unsafe and completely neglected.

Adding to the frustration, customer support was completely useless. Despite countless calls and emails, I received no real help. I had to go out, buy my own cleaning products, and clean the apartment myself—while still being charged a cleaning fee for a service that was never provided! My refund request was ignored, which is unacceptable.

This place is a health hazard, and I strongly advise everyone to stay away. Avoid at all costs!

Our stay

Easy to access apartment, greeted by a staff member to hand over keys who are lovely and helpful for extra information. Unfortunately as cleannesses goes most walls were marked from previous people and bodily fluid stains on mattress protector and some stains on most bedsheets. Advertised that there was a tumble dryer within the apartment as well as wifi yet there is none.

I couldn't fault my stay

I couldn't fault my stay. Was greeted at the time arranged (apologies, can't remember the chaps name) really nice guy. The apartment was spotless, it was very comfortable and I would have no hesitation staying here again. Tesco Express & Sainsbury's were located close by. Some great bars were close by

262 Bradford St in Birmingham was listed as "Stunning" one bedroom apartment! Yes, stunned at the unhealthy conditions in this apartment and building. The description of the apartment has now been changed to "Convenient" on Expedia.
Graffiti everywhere including the lifts, walls, hallways.
Smelly garbage bags (with rubbish in) everywhere, by lift and in hallways. Carpeting stains everywhere in hallways and in carpeting in flat.
Hundreds of cigarette butts at the front door.

Inside flat, no basics. Had to buy essentials. Could not cook as there were no amenities to cook in.
Dishwasher smelled up the whole flat, disgusting smell. Had to keep closed.
Shower head not installed properly so no hot water, and water everywhere.
Food, dirty drips on non-working broken blinds and on walls.
Bathroom gross with no mirrors, drops of dirty water, blood, makeup on walls and surfaces.
Pillows hard, lumpy and old.
Unsafe building and area. "Security" sits on dirty pillows at the entry way, sometimes. Front door not working properly, can open with a hard pull.
