National Academy of Sports Medicine Avis

Incredible service, speedy process, and an amazing learning experience

I really enjoyed the content and also the interviews with the authors. . Having different authors was both refreshing, but sometimes seemed more disjointed and made it feel like it jumped around a bit. It also often repeated certain things severaly times again and again.. . Which isnt always a bad thing, I'll admit.

Best customer service I’ve ever received, a huge catalyst for my personal growth and career.

NASM delivers unparalled educational materials for each of it's courses. This keeps me coming back for more. My orginal cpt was in 2003, which I've maintained and I've acquired 4 additional since then (PES, CNC, CWC and CES). Now I'm looking to pursue my Master's degree through their affiliate PennWest University.

Well organized content and easy to use platform

The NASM courses I completed to renew my CPT were an excellent investment in my professional growth. The material was engaging, well organized, and packed with practical knowledge I can apply to help my clients reach their goals. These courses strengthened my confidence as a trainer and reinforced my commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based coaching. I highly recommend NASM to fitness professionals looking to expand their expertise and keep their skills sharp!

The requirements for the test were not clear. It said basic requirements like a camera and high speed internet. It did not say you must use a personal laptop, which most people don’t have. I had to pay to retest even though I showed up because my laptop didn’t have the right operating system.

The textbook and on-line portions and practice exams were great. The one issue I had was when I took the real test, my screen blacked out and I had to calI IT so I could finish the test. I had to do all the security measures over again and it was VERY stressful!

Lots of information and the video/podcasts are a great review.

I had to do most of work myself, can’t wait for nasm to help me with possible job opportunity

I highly recommend NASM to anyone looking to start or advance their career in the fitness and wellness industry!

I have earned several certifications through NASM, including Certified Personal Trainer, Youth Exercise Specialist, Stretching and Flexibility Coach, and Certified Nutrition Coach.

The programs are extremely well-structured, comprehensive, and easy to navigate. What I appreciate most is the variety of learning methods they offer, making it easier to understand, retain, and apply the information in real-world situations.

As someone who has been in the fitness industry for years, I value continuing education and programs that challenge me to grow professionally. NASM has consistently provided quality education that helps me expand my knowledge and better serve my clients.

Whether you’re just getting started or looking to add to your credentials, NASM is an excellent choice. I highly recommend them!

The lessons for each chapter were thorough and easy to follow. The videos reinforced the material along with the end of chapter reviews and portion tests.

The customer service was always very helpful whenever I reached out.

I absolutely loved the order of the material. By starting off with the anatomical foundations of the body, learning about the OPT model and actual workouts later on during the course felt much easier to understand. (Had the course been reversed, I would’ve been lost.) The whole experience was excellent start to finish.

The CPT program itself was better than expected. The online material coupled with the text book made the course easy to follow and study. I recommend taking the section quizzes at least twice and the final exam practice several times, and printing the study guide. All of that led to passing on my first attempt.

My experience with the NASM CPT program was great. The tools provided helped me to break down each concept and really learn, rather than just memorize. I would recommend this program to anyone who aspires to be a fitness professional, or just wants to expand their knowledge to help others. I was also very impressed with the depth of information they proved with more complex topics such as; biomechanics and bioenergetics. As a health care professional myself, I was able to really nail down these concepts. Proud to be a part of the NASM family!

I liked the content, but I really felt like the material was highly specialized and technical and could seriously benefit from a breakdown. The whole course need more visuals, more mnemonic devices and and really have teachers with extensive knowledge in how to break down very complex subjects into bite sized paedagogic elements that allow people with zero biological, psychological and chemical backgrounds to pick this up and apply it. The tests did cover important stuff, but a lot of the questions had very soecific and at times pointless questions with the tiniest nuance differences, which I truly don’t believe most clients would ask. I like the course a lot, I appreciate all the hard work that went into it, but I still feel like there is room for improvement :)

Some of the text was missing, I wished the quizzes connected more with the previous chapter concepts since the final was incorporating it all

I appreciate the well-structured courses, clear learning materials, and the opportunity to gain practical knowledge in fitness and sports science. NASM provides useful educational resources that help students develop their skills and better understand the principles of training and fitness. Overall, it has been a valuable learning experience.

As a busy mom with four kids and already working this was a great format. I really appreciate the learning style.
