Orlando attended the properly and completed a very detailed inspection highlighting a large amount of issues.

Some issues were very significant and needed urgent inspection/repair by the developer.

Once the issues were identified as urgent Orlando finalised and delivered the report early the next morning allowing us to submit the report to the developer that day.

Within 48hours of the report being completed the developer has started work to rectify the issues to ensure the property is in top condition.

Very personable chap, arrived and got straight on with the job on what was a very hot day.

Very knowledgeable and explained things clearly.

The surveyor was very thorough going through our new property. He answered all of our query's and concerns.

Employed NHQC to complete a snagging survey on a large new build Barn. Excellent service all-round, great communication and very pleased with the detail and thoroughness of the report. Everything was done remotely as we are not near the property and was stress free.

The snagging inspection was thorough, detailed, and of very high standard. Will, the snagging inspector was friendly, approachable and professional throughout. The report was completed within 48hrs with clearly labelled photos and references to NHBC standards. For the inspection itself we would highly recommend New Home Quality Control to any new home owner. 5/5 stars for this.

However, we did have some administrative difficulties. When we initially booked the survey, it got allocated to the wrong day (leading to a last minute cancellation and re-booking). There was also confusion as to when was best to book it. We were unaware that a more comprehensive survey was only possible post-completion rather than pre. (We may have missed this on the website, but highlighting this difference may be useful for future clients).

High quality administration is very underrated. This could be an area to allocate more resources to. However, we could not fault the inspection itself, it was fantastic.

We were disappointed in the procedure and lack of unprompted communication in arrangements and subsequent report and conversation with the surveyor. Obvious issues in garage were not mentioned and also the surveyor did not fully acknowledge the issue which we raised beforehand regarding ground/turf butting directly onto the external wall above dpc level. I had to request this to be subsequently added to the report and encountered some resistance from him in this regard. I myself had to draw attention to this being a non compliance of Scottish Building Standards guidance.

Very useful service and gives some peace of mind when tackling any new build issues that the untrained eye would definitely miss. Friendly attentive staff from office, to actual inspector on day of snag visit.

We had will in our new home yesterday carrying out a snagging report. Take this from someone who doesn’t spend money on pointless things, this is the best money I’ve ever spent I know when we move into new homes we don’t want to believe they may not be as good as what we think but the reality is 99.9% of the time they’re not and do you really want to be the one paying out to get problems fixed or loosing out on money when you come to sell the property because of hidden issues. How I see it is it cost me £400 but saved me thousands. Will was so efficient, professional & friendly throughout his inspection.

As a first time buyer of a new build house we decided to get a professional snagger from new home quality control to help us through this process. Paul was brilliant, explained everything clearly and gave us the peace of mind of knowing no stone was left unturned.
