I had a great experience working with Jess Glynn. Jess was friendly, professional, accommodating, and incredibly helpful throughout the process. She worked hard to meet the tight timeline stipulated by the developer for submitting defects, while maintaining a thorough and professional approach. And a very detailed report.

Where do I even start?
The level of service provided by Jess Glynn was beyond our expectations. It’s simply amazing.

We recently engaged A1 Snagging to inspect our new-build apartment and the experience was outstanding.

Right from the beginning, the communication channels was prompt and clear.
All concerns were explain clearly and professionally.

The report was very detailed accompanied with photos. Each defect was explained with the required rectification. Some issues I reckoned I would have missed or even think it’s acceptable. But now I know better, what is the standard expected from the builders.
Jess you just raised the bar exceptionally high!

Identifying is just one part of the process.
Our concerns were also the ratifications.
So we requested for a follow-up snagging by Jess to make sure that all the defects are made good.

Now this is the second part that raise some doubts. Will it be a never ending story of back and forth with no ending in sight to the complete ratifications. Will the builders be responsible and forthcoming in fixing the defects? Will they give Jess the run around or excuses?

Jess assured us that she will liaise with the builders to make sure all defects are rectified before she revisit and she delivered.

Ratification report is just as meticulous as the first snagging report with follow up photos to identify that each and every tiny detail is attended to.

If only we met Jess from A1 Snagging years earlier. It would have made a big difference to our other properties which I shudder to think of the defects that were never identified.

Disappointing. Unprofessional. Both company and surveyor, Jess.
The surveyor picked a lot of snaggings, some valuable, but some quite petty (the colour of the paint is not even) but failed to survey the Central heating.
She made some gross mistakes, like entering the estate agent name for the builders, even though I gave her the name of the builder and she wrote it down in her note book. 2 sinks are faulty, dont drain well and water remains in the front of the sinks. Were condemned by the plumbing company that installed then, several builders saw that they were leaning toward. But the surveyor didn't see anything wrong with them. She forgot her spirit level in my house. So I tested the levelling of the sinks found them tipping forward and sideways. She didn't notice that!
They promised to include thermal imaging, but half an hour after she arrived, the surveyor asked if I could turn the heating (air pump) to 30 degrees.
Unlike gas heating, this is a slow process. To get it to 30 degrees, i would need till the evening. If she told me in advance, I could have turned it on 1st thing. Therefore she couldn't do the thermal imaging. But the promise to include thermal imaging came with no conditions, like pending heating.
Now she says that she told me that the heating needed to be turned on in advance. That's a lie.
Turning C.H. of air pump 2.5 hours before the end of the survey, is useless. It wouldn't reach anywhere near 30 degrees as she requested.
Unfortunately she mixes up thermal imaging with central heating. The first is for insulation, the latter is for heating the home. She didn't write a word about the heating system. Is the tank the appropriate size? Is the installation correct? Etc.
Also she took 33 hours to issue the 1st version, instead of the promised 24 hours. Yet, a few hours after I started reading (180 paged) and correcting mistakes, she closed the report. No warning. No pre notification of how long I have. I managed to pressure her to open it.
Finally she included air pollution in the report, because i told her that I get pollution from the road. She included that. Is it an environmental survey? Or a snagging survey. I asked her to remove it, but she wouldn't.
I did not ask her to write a report for legal or financial needs.
She made many corrections because she made many mistakes. She did record matters regarding the developer, but they were incorrect. So I had to ask her to correct.
After initially responding to my review with some lies, she then changed heels review as it is now. It sounded like she was open to dialogue. So I asked her to remove her comment on pollution from the road which is not snagging. She didn't respond. Likewise for her comments about my concerns, which again are not snagging. Obviously her final response to my review is insencere. Only to create an impression. Pretence.
Don't bother with her. A waste of money

I can’t recommend Jess from A1 Snagging enough! She was absolutely brilliant from start to finish — kind, approachable, professional, and extremely thorough.

The whole process was handled so well, with excellent communication throughout. I really appreciated being able to change, remove, or edit any photos I wasn’t completely happy with, which made the whole experience feel very personalised and stress-free.

We had asked them to do a snagging for the new build property. Mrs. Georgina was very prompt in replying for my enquiries and responsive. She had assigned Mr. Paul Hancock as our snagger. It was done on 17/07/2026. Mr. Paul started snagging around 10am and was spot on, had a great attention to detail, he had picked up even minute painting imperfections which we normally would have ignored. He has noticed lots of minute things which we have not noticed at all. Great work and great effort by Mr. Paul and Georgina. I had received a detailed snagging report on the same day at around 11pm. It just took just over 12 hours to give me a detailed report. I would recommend them100% to anyone. Once again great efforts by both of them. Keep going... All the very best.

Excellent Snagging Service - Highly recommended

I recently used [ A1 Snagging] for a full snagging inspection on my new-build home, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The inspector(Paul Hancock ) arrived on time, was extremely professional, and clearly knew exactly what to look for.

The report was incredibly detailed, with clear photos and explanations for every defect—both minor and more significant issues I would never have spotted myself. They sent the final report the same day, and it made it much easier for me to communicate the required fixes to the developer.

Customer service was also excellent by Georgina. Overall, I feel far more confident about my new home thanks to their thorough work.
