Received a letter from this company threatening to take goods. After multiple calls and emails this company never once responded. We then had a hand delivered letter stating because of no response from us they will be removing goods. We have proof of our contact via emails and calls. Disgusting company who seem to just want to harass people and not get payment.

paid them on the same day, as I needed access to the car when it was clamped.

this was because of ticket I did not notice which turned from £60, they wanted £500!

anyway, I made the payment in full on the promise they will remove the clamp within an hour, and here I am the end of the day nothing.

THE MORAL OF THE STORY, IS DO NOT PAY THEM SCAMMERS

Constantly harangue me via phone calls and text threats even though I made an arrangement. Are backward stuck in the 70s with a ‘man at door wielding a club’ attitude and way of doing business.
We all have debt but the way they collect on behalf of the faceless is cowardly, old-fashioned and quite frankly borderline legal.

Keep sending me letters for a women that has never lived at my address. Send two emails to them to explain who lives at my address it has been over a month now and still no reply.
Last letter was a few days ago to tell me they will be coming to my address. Stop wasting my time and yours.

Live chat is always out of hours.
Don't advertise these as option to contact you if the only one available is telephone.

This company phoned me today and used bullying tactics down the phone saying they were coming to my house and will take my property and force entry would not let me talk I tried explaining I have a young child in the house and I also asked him if he had the right to force entry he just stated using more abuse I’ve contacted the office and asked for an explanation for this behaviour but they think they are above the law I will not be giving them any money what so ever they can’t gain entry to your house only if you invite them in they have no power of entry don’t let them make you think otherwise

Disgusting company. Hounded me down after I set up direct debit with admin (then to be told they don't do d/d) after explaining I was going though a terrible pregnancy still clamped my car. Harassed me to pay. Followed by my car clamped again outside a friends house who lives over 15miles away from mine.
Ignorant bullies with disgraceful admin don't understand how they are allowed to operate.

Got a letter on a Friday about losing a case in court, tried to ring up Monday morning(not open weekends) to pay original fine only to find out they had posted a new fine through the door for an extra £235 before I had chance to pay it.

Jumped at the chance to get more out of me. Disgusting behaviour.

So I paid these people each month a few years ago
Now I have a new company chasing me for the money I paid these.
How do I prove I paid it Iover 4 years ago. Each time I argue the debt just gets moved to another company.

Rude unhelpful don't want to listen speck to the enforcement agents called him he was even more rude and unhelpful not listen to anything I had to say I couldn't afford the original debt so they thought they would add charges and maybe I could some how afford it why are these companies not regulated

Absolute w??????paid for my car to be unclamped £500 which I had to get a loan for As I have now paid. I have not been told when they are going to remove the clamp and cannot tell me when they will do it something like 7 days I was told by head office but who knows. next day eleven phone calls and several txt messages to the man who clamped it and head office but he will not answer his mobile and they still are unable to unlock my car because they cannot find someone who can unlock the wheel clamp oh for gods sake!! What a useless company We have now lost three shifts as we have no transportation because we live in a rural area and no way to get to hospital appointments on Monday I bet they won’t pay for that either They just don’t care for anyone except for themselves

Really bad company strange guy shouting down the phone after delivering a letter really awful.

awful company I have undercover evidence of their bullyig actions, to some of the most vulnerable people in the Country. I have video clips of Enforcement Agents bulying pensioners into making payments that they simply cannot afford. Agents entering homes when children are the only people present, their practices and tactics including training to their agents. I have lot more for which I intend to expose shortly. This will be widely reported.

Only the Heartless - evil people can run and work this company ..

Having called this disgusting company on the behalf of my daughter. I told the officer what she could afford he said no. If someone is told e.g 30 is to much then you jump to 45pw which is 180 a month. How would they expect her to pay it. Obviously they wanted her to sell her front, her kidneys and her child. A truly disgusting company.

The company doesn't even deserve one star. Employees are so ruthless, aggressive and defensive. Worst company I have ever had to deal with.

So.. despite not having lived at the address for nearly a 1 1/2 years Newlyn rep have said that we owe Westminster council tax up until May this year and a magistrate has signed an enforcement order. We have had no correspondence before and have been out of the country for over 2 years.. mainly due to lockdown and being unable to travel. It is in my b/f and his previous g/f name who he has not been with for 5 years! We tried explaining not having lived there and there must be a mistake, that I was registered there and we paid our bill but the guy just kept saying that’s not true..you have to pay, are you going to pay it or not. We will send somebody to take your goods, you will get a criminal record and it will stay for life. Long story short my b/f is not English and the rep actually said to him ‘yeah we get a lot of you foreigners over here who seem to think they don’t have to pay their bills, well you have to pay like everyone else!’ My b/f has never claimed any benefits, always dealt with his bills, paid his tax etc and contributed to the economy! As a British citizen I can say that this is more than many other BC who have sat on benefits for years, getting their CT paid for them! I am livid and plan to address this racism further! Clearly they employ low level thugs at this company!

Bunch of really can't swear on here, but the word starts with C's. No compassion at all. I am a 6ft man and can take on any bailiff, but I have a boy with special needs and a Mrs to think of. We owned about £2500 in council tax debt. Debt that was incurred through government circumstance when they switched us over from income support to UC (Universal credit). Not self inflicted but trying to get through to these inhumane people is like trying to pull hens teeth. They play hard ball over anything you tell them and expect you to pay no matter what. In the end to protect myself (Well not myself because I would wipe the floor with any bailiff), but my Mrs and boy I was forced into an IVA plan. IVA might affect your credit for 5 years, but if it keeps these people from my door then I am happy. This company is SCUM. If I could give 0 stars I would.

If you know you are right report them!
Writing reviews can help in some cases but it will not change anything. The financial Ombudsman are there to help, they will not cost you a penny and they have the required competence and powers. Do something useful, report bad practice and incompetence when you see it. I have rarely seen a company with more negative reviews than Newlyn, does it deter them… ?
Get names of the people you talk to when you call Newlyn, record them and report to the regulatory bodies.

By the way, I had experienced a bit of what other reviewers described here, I agree, this company does not have normal business ethics, they want your money. It does not matter how they get to it, they are happy to lie and bully people if that works.
