I was told that my chair was shipped…

I was told that my chair was shipped out as the second batch about month and a half ago. Recently they announced that tracking info was uploaded. I still have no tracking info or the chair. No one should ever consider purchasing from this company. The lack of communication is ridiculous.

No clue what’s happening

Backed the Neutral X thinking I was investing in something innovative. But, I’ve heard nothing in ages. No product, dodgy updates, no clue what’s going on. At this point, it just feels like the campaigns been abandoned. Really regretting this one!

What an absolute joke of a company

What an absolute joke of a company. They can’t respond to emails or direct messages, have different contact information in each place you look - some of which don’t even work, lies upon lies in kickstarter campaigns, false shipping promises that were a fail at every step along the way, extra charges for tariffs on things that hadn’t even shipped yet let alone been received in destination port, need I continue? I sincerely suggest running in the opposite direction if you ever encounter this company in any respect.

Edit: they somehow were able to find time to respond to my review, but not to any of the emails or direct messages I’ve sent inquiring about factual information and statuses, not the AI written blurb they repeat here.

I purchased one of their chairs back in…

I purchased one of their chairs back in January and have not received yet. I have no information where the chair is nor any updates when I try to contact them. I recommend NOT to but from this company at all.

Worst customer service

Bait and switch on their items. Make it impossible to contact or get a reply. Uses multiple different apps to purchase the items. Won’t answer basic questions about their shipping. This has been 6 months on nonsense with this company from their kickstarter, many people have the same issues.

Do not buy from this company.

Cost for shipping was increased after initial cost was paid, company is now requesting more money. I have tried to cancel my order countless times and I am not being refunded. DO NOT buy from this company.

Silence isn’t a strategy

I backed this project with high hopes and a fair bit of patience, but at this point, I feel like I’ve paid for a ghost story.

The Newtral X chair was supposed to ship in March. It’s now June, and not only is there no chair — there’s no communication. The last message I received was a DM in early April, where I was told to “wait a bit longer.” Since then? Radio silence. No updates, no explanations, no accountability.

I understand delays happen — especially with hardware — but what’s most frustrating isn’t the lack of product. It’s the complete disappearance of the people behind it. If you can send marketing blasts, you can send a basic update.

Right now, I’m out of pocket with absolutely nothing to show for it. No transparency, no timelines, not even the courtesy of a follow-up message. It’s starting to feel less like a delay… and more like a write-off.

Would love to be proven wrong. But until then, I’d advise future backers to proceed with caution — or better yet, not at all.

Patience is a virtue

I backed the recent Kickstarter campaign from Newtral and while I understand people are frustrated with the lack of communication, I just can't relate. I backed something that I knew wasn't yet manufactured, and went in expecting it to take months probably to receive the item. I waited patiently without hounding the company with messages (which actually increases delays by making it harder for them to prioritize important requests, negatively impacts logistics like shipping, and can even impact inventory). I got my chair over a week ago. The quality exceeded my expectations and after using it consistently for about two weeks I am really impressed with the chair. I do think the company needs to acknowledge the delays with shipping and be more transparent, but overall I'm very happy with the outcome and think a little patience goes a long way.

Fake Reviews, non delivery, comms are lies

Like many others I've ordered the chair months ago and been through the pain of expecting in march, April, may (now June and no chair). Messaged directly and received an identical response to everyone else that suggested it was with a courier...clearly not as it's not here.

Also very disappointed to see that they've put some obviously fake reviews on here at 5 stars which is just further manipulation and lies.

Backer for Newtral Freedom Chair

I was a backer for their newest product, the Newtral Freedom Chair on Kickstarter. They promised delivery early March, did not begin shipping out orders until mid April, and only have confirmed to have sent out about 2300 products, with no updates or email communications since April 29, it is now June 2, despite multiple comments and emails both on Kickstarter and directly

Absolute mess of a company

Loved the product they were offering through Kickstarter. But man, this company is a giant mess. Several months after their original promised ship date (and after coming back asking for additional shipping fees because they underestimated), they told me they can't cancel because it's on the way. So I asked for tracking or refund process and....crickets. I followed up 6 times in a month to no response from Newtral. Eventually I had to dispute the charge with my credit card because it's quite clear they don't know what they're doing and may not actually even have the products they sell you.

Kickstarter scam!

Essentially this company appears to have scammed almost everyone backing their kickstarter! They increased shipping fees after we’d already backed and paid for the project, and then immediately went radio silent… Incredibly disappointing.

Newtral Unfortunately Falls Short…

Update: It’s now August 6 and I still haven’t received my chair. I see that Newtral has the chair available for purchase on other websites under a generic name, instead of as the “Freedom-X”, despite not having fulfilled their existing Kickstarter or Indiegogo orders. The other thing I forgot to mention in my initial review is that though my pledge was $249 + $29 in shipping, they required me to pay an additional $102 in shipping fees through PledgeBox ($55 in March, and another $47 in April). The emails about paying the extra “shipping” costs threatened to withhold or delay shipment of the chair if I did not pay, so I begrudgingly paid it, yet it’s been several months and I have yet to receive my chair.

Original review: I’m one of the first 150 backers and even paid up the additional shipping fees they requested. I’ve seen backers in the 3k and 4k range reporting they’ve received their chairs, so I’m not sure how they’re determining who gets their chair, because it certainly isn’t in order of backer number.
I went back to their first Kickstarter page for funsies and noticed a comment posted recently by someone stating that they finally got their chair after 3 years. Doesn’t particularly instill confidence in me for this campaign.
I’ve had my fair share of participating in both successful and failed Kickstarters. I’m generally pretty understanding of mishaps because things happen, but how a company handles those mishaps is really telling. Lack of transparency, infrequent updates, and canned responses is not how you build a customer base. I see that Newtral has invested a lot of money on paid ads, which shows they care about their marketing… Focusing on not only product quality but also on quality customer service is how a company can get free marketing, as happy customers will refer via word of mouth. Creating unsatisfied customers will do the opposite. Clearly, we’re using word of mouth to share that this has been an overall poor experience.

Avoid!

Did you order the Newtral Freedon X chair? If not, this is a warning to others. Strongly recommend not ordering from this company.

Placed order in Jan, updated in Feb, Mar and Apr. Nothing since then. No response to any form of contact.

Promised a tracking number and nothing received.

Have raised a dispute with my bank and credit card.

If I could give a zero I would.
