NuCamp Fullstack Online Bootcamp
I have completed all my course work and am getting ready to graduate from the NuCamp coding bootcamp having completed the full stack course path (the part time schedule). I was pleased with the course material and the cost. I felt like I got an understanding and foundation of what I needed to know. I'd recommend this course if you're looking for a good value but still quality teaching and content. I'm much better off having taken this course than if I tried to self teach, because this is more structured and guided along with instructor support and a weekly live session. I'm sure you can pay $10,000 + and have an even better bootcamp but this was sufficient for me to be able to have an up to date and good foundation in full stack coding and to be able to continue to learn as I develop additional projects after the bootcamp and when ready, find employment as a developer. Would recommend.
One additional note: After taking these courses, will you be ready to apply for a job? It depends how much time you put into it. You will learn the basics that you need to develop and know what you need to continue learning but it takes practice and repetition so you can become familiar enough to be able to apply your knowledge and this takes time. Also you'll need to develop your own projects to showcase to future employers and Nucamp has you do 1 course project of your choosing per course. To sum it up, this all takes time, and if you were to take the part time course and do it 40 hours per week instead of the 10-20 hours I had available, then I think you could have enough repetition and have your course projects completed to be ready to apply for jobs when you graduate from the bootcamp.
Front-End Bootcamp was very in depth
Front-End Bootcamp was very in depth. All of the teachers were very knowledgable, nice, and helpful. They didn't mind any questions asked and are always understanding of us being beginners. If it's affordable to you I highly reccommend it. I think all bootcamps are "you get what you give" so you have to work hard, but the teachers at nucamp are just so nice and knowledgable it set them apart from the rest.
Worth every penny
I have now completed the Web Fundamentals course. I am looking for a career change and that is what led me to NuCamp. I would say that this was a great experience. Along the way, the instructor took the time to explain things clearly, and to help us think of the way we should be searching when we do have a question. The topic covered were delivered in easily digested section as to not overwhelm.
I hope to continue on with the other selection of courses to become a full stack developer. I also want to revisit some of the purchased online courses now that I have a better understanding of the basics.
Nucamp is a fantastic choice for…
Nucamp is a fantastic choice for aspiring coders. It offers great content, is extremely affordable, and allowed me to learn at my own pace.
My Nucamp Experience
Enrolling in Nucamp was a smart decision for me. It offered affordability, a structured learning path, and a supportive community of fellow learners. Nucamp's approach has given me the confidence and direction to pursue a career in front-end development. As I approach the completion of my Nucamp journey, I'm excited to take the skills I've acquired and use them to create innovative and user-friendly web experiences as a front-end developer.
Joining the Nucamp Web Fundamentals…
Joining the Nucamp Web Fundamentals Bootcamp was the best thing I could have done. If you are on the fence about starting a bootcamp, don't be! Do it! Are confused about wich bootcamp is the best...it's NuCamp! Their inclusive, each one teach one culture is what made all the difference for me. The Discord server, the access to the actual CEO and instructors who actually made the videos you will learn an absolute TON from, the lifetime access to the bootcamp's coursework all make NuCamp stand out from the rest. I haven't even mentioned the price point yet..NuCamp is the most affordable bootcamp you will find and the most flexible, however, do not confuse affordable with it being cheap! NuCamp is the best bang for your buck and they could easily charge thousands more for their bootcamps but they do not because they believe that learning how to code should be accessible to everyone. There is even financing options through Ascent and Climb. I financed my Web Fundamentals and Full Stack Web and Mobile Development bootcamps through Ascent. Easy peezy!
Nucamp Front-end Bootcamp
After wanting to change career paths I landed on taking a bootcamp at Nucamp because of their economical options and raving reviews. After completing the Front-End bootcamp, I have to say I feel much more confident in pursuing my tech career. All of my instructors where very helpful and pushed the students to work hard and learn everyday. They were always there to answer questions and assist every step of the way. So grateful to the staff for providing me with great education and support at a fraction of the cost.
Intensive, Transformative, Supportive, Educational, Empowering
I recently completed Full Stack Web and Mobile Development course with Nucamp, and I must say it was an incredible journey. The courses were challenging, but they thoroughly prepared me to become a better software developer.
The instructors at Nucamp are exceptional, with special shout-outs to Frank Smith and Chris Bush for their unwavering support throughout my learning journey. Their guidance made all the difference.
Nucamp's administrative team deserves recognition as well. Their support mechanism is fantastic, and they go the extra mile by offering recorded course materials and guidance on overcoming difficulties.
What sets Nucamp apart is their commitment to helping students secure jobs after completing the course. They provide free additional courses and seminars on job hunting, which is invaluable.
While Nucamp may not be perfect, it's a bootcamp I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone serious about learning to code while saving money. It's a solid 5-star experience for me.
In short, Nucamp is a game-changer for aspiring developers. Highly recommended!
Nucamp Backend engineering bootcamp
Great courses and very knowledgeable instructors.
My Nucamp Bootcamp Experience
I took the Boot camp to help with work responsibilities and I learned a lot from it. I would diffidently recommend it to others and I really enjoyed working with my instructor Kevin. I learned a lot and it is just the start to my coding Journey. I look forward to what comes next.
Python Fundamentals - I definintely learned a lot!
I enrolled in nucamp because of the flexibility with working fulltime and the cost. I've had very knowledgable instructors with years of experience that have done a great job. Your experience will vary depending on your instructor and and who's in your class anywhere you go I'm sure. This last class that I was in a lot of people didn't speak up much, but the instructor was professional and taught the class with enthusiasm, which was much appreciated. So far this has been a great investment relative to the other options out there. (I admit I retook this section a couple times because of the week 4 material. It was a lot to grasp in a week with my schedule. Doing that did help me become even more comfortable with Python though, and the fees for that were reasonable.)
Nucamp keeps getting better and better!!
Nucamp keeps getting better and better. Like I said before, I was originally going to the Hack Reactor bootcamp. But due to unseen circumstances that changed. Nucamp was my next option that turned out to be far better that what I expected. My Python and SQL instructors were very skilled and knowledgeable!! You will not find anything better for the price of these courses.
I enrolled in Nucamp because it was…
I enrolled in Nucamp because it was instructor lead and was affordable at $354 a month. The instructor was great quality but group participation was non-existent. Learned a lot and highly recommend over ISA bootcamps that really are a rip-off.
I wanted a change of career
I wanted a change of career. It was overall a good experience, but I'm not sure it has enough practice or goes deep enough into the subjects to prepare for a future job. Thankfully, it's really affordable, but if you do this boot camp then supplement the weekly assignments with your own videos.
Enrolling in Nucamp was undoubtedly one of the best
Enrolling in Nucamp was undoubtedly one of the best decisions I've made for my career and personal growth. Before joining the boot camp, I was eager to transition into the tech industry but lacked the necessary skills and experience. After extensive research, I found Nucamp, which stood out due to its flexible part-time schedule and affordable pricing.
Below Expectations
I enrolled in Nucamp as I was looking to gain skills in Full stack development and this seemed to be an affordable option with good ratings. I do not feel the same upon finishing
Pros:
1. It's more affordable compared to other boot camps
2. Admin is responsive if you make requests for cohort change or anything
Cons:
1. A mix of good and bad instructors, if you are lucky you will be in good hands.
2. Less time is given to work on the portfolio project. you need time to work along with the boot camp.
3. Content is not updated. The backend course for Node jS is 3 years old, React Native was an old one as well. Unfortunately, the instructor for Node was tricky to follow and as a result, I could not understand the backend at all.
4. The boot camp is less focused on building your concepts, It goes from basic to completely advanced topics. If you are new to full stack, I would not recommend this boot camp. I would have to turn to free courses on youtube or Codecademy to complete my understanding
5. Most of the students, Instructors are US based. The course talks about the Europe timeline, but there is hardly any set-up for Europe-based students.
If you have prior experience you will be able to follow along. The Backend was totally a disaster for me. Overall I will give it a 2.5/5 rating.
Great school and couldn't be happier…
Great school and couldn't be happier with the outcome
Nucamp provided what I was missing in self-learning.
After decades as a curious hobbyist coder, and a few years as a serious self-learning developer hopeful, I was stuck. I found Nucamp to be just what I was looking for. Affordable. Knowledgable instructors eager to lavish their time on you if you need it, but also nudging you first to learn how to figure things out on your own. A friendly and active community that you can keep after the camp is over. I was familiar with all the technologies we covered before I came to the camp. What nucamp provided was someone else's hard deadline, live human assistance, a team, and most importantly for me, the opportunity to help someone else work through their code. I think I learned the most there.
No graduate is ready for their job as they walk across the stage to receive their diploma. But hopefully they have been given the tools and skills necessary to become so and continue to grow into their field.
Nucamp does that.
I've had a great experience at nucamp…
I've had a great experience at nucamp and the instructors have been great getting guidance or talking to admin folks has been smooth and seemless. When theres an issue they are very helpful. The workshops are great and challenge you to think and challenge yourself with the code. I think its really about what you put in is what youll get the more you work on it and study the easier and more natural it starts to come . But it does get more fun the more you understand it
Nucamp is the way to learn to code
As a transitioning service member, Nucamp is a very accessible way for me to gain new and marketable skills that I can apply to the civilian sector. For me, I feel like going with Nucamp was a great decision because it give me the instruction and the flexibility to learn at my own pace. With what I've learned and will continue to learn here at Nucamp, I aspire to land a remote job as a developer back in the States!
