Hi Anthony,
Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased to hear you had an excellent experience with OakMax, and we’d be happy to help again whenever you need us.

Poor collection option.
The almost mid-morning earliest time is very poor. Collection should be available from when the warehouse opens in the morning, not waste customers day losing a whole morning and having to drive in heavier traffic.

Hi Alun,
Thank you for taking a moment to share your thoughts with us. We truly value hearing directly from customers about their experience.
We offer a collection service as a way to give our customers greater flexibility, including the option to avoid delivery costs, while still maintaining competitive pricing. Because our collections are handled through a shared warehouse that manages multiple businesses, we must follow their operational and safety guidelines, which include a 10 AM–4 PM (Mon-Fri) collection window.
These details were shared with you and reconfirmed by phone to help ensure a smooth collection. We understand this schedule may not work for everyone, and we appreciate you highlighting your experience, we will try to communicate this better.
Thank you again for your feedback, it helps us continue improving the service we offer.
Best regards,

Service and speed was great but the timber was awful, if I wasn’t on such a tight schedule I would have sent it back. It took days for me to make the timber acceptable for the job. Will not be using your services again.

Hi Adrian,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We really appreciate hearing from customers who work closely with oak, it’s always helpful for us to understand how the material performs in real use and I’m glad to know the collection and service went smoothly.
Fresh-sawn oak can naturally vary from piece to piece, with each batch showing its own texture and character. While the team checks every order before dispatch, small differences can still appear. Whenever that happens, we’re always ready to review things and make sure everything feels right.
We’ve also sent you an email, and it would be great if you could take a moment to share a few photos or details there, just so we can better understand what you’ve received.
Thank you,
Dinu
Product could have been better presented.
Prices were very good and delivery as stated. However, some of the sleepers were not square on the ends which made it difficult to fit them together. Some I had to trim the ends square.
Also I thought the delivery cost was extremely high, especially as the sleepers had to be offloaded by myself and friends.

All but one piece of wood first class. Complained about one piece which was replaced, brilliant customer service... will have no problem using them again.

Generally happy with order/delivery
Generally speaking the order and delivery were satisfactory.
Delivery with courier was a bit ah-hoc as we required to provide off loading facilities. We were aware but to get a date and approx time proved difficult as e needed to arrange persons to be available.
Some items were a bit twisted and split (approx 10 sleeper out of 60) hopefully this will add to the finished look or end as off cuts. we know it is a natural product and never perfect.
Reasonable price even factoring in the delivery price.
Thanks
