Hang in there! While many notice results early on, our experts generally recommend sticking with the medication for at least three months to give it a fair trial. Habits are hard to change!
I also recommend checking in with our medical and coaching teams through your member dashboard. They can be great sources of advice on how to adjust your medication routine, learn from what's working and not, and make changes to other habits, social patterns, and your environment as you work toward your goals.

Naltrexone through Oarhealth works
Naltrexone has sincerely been a life changer and obtaining it through Oarhealth was a simplified and efficient process. I wanted a private, personal experience and have received that with Oarhealth. I didn’t want to eliminate drinking, just significantly reduce it and wasn’t able to do it on my own. I use the Sinclair method and have reduced my drinking to less than 2 glasses a week. So far Oar has been great
So far Oar has been great. I ‘am Master of a ship doing a 21/21 schedule. The 21 days on I do no drinking what so ever,but my time off. That’s a different story. I would binge drink. No less than 18 beers a day on the low side. So at 63 years old I decided for myself to quite drinking. Along comes OAR. I decided why not give it a try. Guess what Oar is unbelievable. I helps with my cravings,and it does what they say. I’m going on month four now,and couldn’t be happier. Thanks for everything.

Stick with the Meds and anything else that works for you.
Like most people with our problem we are reluctant to accept help. For me that meant not taking the Naltrexone as I should but have been steady taking this every morning and find it so much easier than "white knuckling" through cravings.

Worth it
Once the side effects went away you barely notice you've taken the drug. I am drinking roughly 50% of what I was drinking, and am noticeably losing weight. I also enjoy drinking more because I'm not chugging the alcohol chasing the high, just sipping and maintaining total control. Great product

I felt immediately different. Started right off drinking about 1/3 less volume. When drinking I have a clearer head and sleep better.

I've been able to moderate my red wine…
I've been able to moderate my red wine drinking amounts to a very manageable level. I can now limit my consumption to approximately two nights a week and limit myself to 2 to 3 glasses on those nights

I am drinking less often and when I do…I drink less
I am drinking less often and when I do drink, I drink less. The physician was very thorough before prescribing the medicine, I had had two hip surgeries earlier in the year and the doctor made sure the meds I was currently on, were the meds I said. I had been prescribed OxyContin and was not on that anymore and they made sure I didn’t have the ability to fill it again.

I wish I tried this sooner.
I wanted to stop or cut down on my drinking for such a long time, but every day when 6pm came around I was powerless to keep myself from reaching for that first drink, which turned into 5 or 6. I saw an ad for Oar, and was a little put off by the price, but figured I had to try something. The sign up process was very easy and I got my prescription within a week. I took my first dose, on a Tuesday, which turns out was my first night completely sober. I am now 11 days without any alcohol. It completely removed my desire to drink. I had no idea it would be what my body needed to get my brain to do what I wanted it to do (not drink).
