Bad service! Had a card out that would give you a free bun when downloading the app, the system wasn’t working so they said the deal expired! Very very poor customer service.

Food is expensive for what it is. It used to be better, but it declined (more industrial, less artisanal) as it grew. Some of the staff are friendly, but many seem like they don’t want to be working there.

I had the pleasure of visiting ole and steen this evening, and I was truly impressed by the wonderful atmosphere and exceptional service. A special shoutout to Rishika, the barista who made my experience even more delightful. She prepared two lattes for me, one of which was decaf, both crafted to perfection. What stood out even more was her genuine kindness and attention to detail—she even came back to check in and ask how I was enjoying my drink.

Her warm and friendly demeanor, combined with her dedication to making sure everything was just right, made my visit truly memorable.Ole and steen is lucky to have such a talented and thoughtful barista. I’ll definitely be returning soon. Highly recommend!

Northcote road branch is lovely. Always a good atmosphere and staff are very welcoming everyday, Especially Judith who always has a smile and is very friendly and efficient. Coffee and pastries are amazing and never disappoint 👍🤗

Typically I love this cafe very much, the coffee and cinnamon rolls are fantastic however today I discovered not one BUT 2! 2 small egg shell particles in my avocado and egg open rye😡 made me slightly upset as I could not effectively finish my delectable meal. Please be careful when peeling your eggs…

I ordered 5 cakes via their app to be picked up by my son in the Greenwich branch. My son who does not eat cakes picked up a box with the label showing all 5 cakes listed. The box was sealed and to our great disappointment there were only two destroyed cakes in the box and the remainder 3 was missing. You can imagine how the rest of the family was disappointed when there were no cakes for dessert. I have tried to contact the company both via Facebook messenger and via the app but have not had any response. They still charged me the full price for all 5 cakes.

Awful experience - visited my with toddler and accidentally left my bag in store. I contacted them 3 days later and called a week later to confirm collection and they claim they had thrown it out. No response after that to multiple emails/calls and I now believe that they kept the items given the poor communication and flippant nature of their initial response.

If there was a minus star, that's what I'd give. Coffee tasted like chemicals and the remnants of a dirty pipe. Absolutely disgusting. Can't believe how busy it is for coffee that's so shit. Have had ole and stein coffee before, but it was nothing like I experienced today.

Visited the shop in Haymarket on a Sunday afternoon.
Tried the click and collect but even though shop was not busy at all it gave me 20 minutes waiting.
I then decided to order directly. Staff was quite unhelpful with the guy at the till being so distracted I had to repeat 3 times my order. Matcha latte was the worse I ever had, almost undrinkable.
The only good thing was the pastry.

What a joke of a place, for the price they charge and not to put one bit of butter in such a big roll. Honestly what a joke

the place Is very dirty ,all tables are most of the time unclean toilets are shocking !
the app has a lots of errors and dose not working same time !if you order online most of the time at the collection they dont have what ever you order and you will have to get same thing else instead!

We have visited Ole & Steen several times with family and friends , and would highly recommend the excellent range of toasties. The Cinnamon slices are delicious, as are the extensive range of cake's. We love the atmosphere, and friendly efficient staff. We also collectively agreed that the prices were competitive. We will definitely visit again & recommend to our friends. Thank you.

Queuing system is beyond stupid! Why on earth they don't put the till at the far end of the counter so the queue goes along the glass counter to prevent chaos by the door and people can see the items before they order. You have to guess what you want and everyone gets so confused with the queue.

They seem to have reformulated their recipes, seriously downgrading the taste of their products . Really disappointed with the quality. I used to look forward to their strawberry tarts, even though they are £5.95 each, they tasted superior. Tonight’s offering the casing was hard and tasteless. The strawberries were hard and tasteless. The vanilla had a different consistency. We also the had the Marcel , which is also now of a different recipe and tasteless. Personally, I’m sticking with Gail’s Bakery in future , who do use quality ingredients and whose standards seem to be heightening rather than degenerating.
