Olive Group UK Ltd Avis

The training which you get from Olive for all the courses will be as close to real life situations as you could get all tutors Paul, Steve and Rob will go out of their way to help you. They make the training equal to everybody. It's mentally challenging but they will guide and help you all the way through staying up till early hours for guidance. I'd advise anyone to do their training here as this was although one of the hardest things I've ever done but the most rewarding and enjoyable. Paul, Steve and Rob absolute legends.

The course was very interesting and taught in a professional way. There was a good mix of theory and hands-on practice, with proper equipment and realistic scenarios. The instructor was attentive, shared useful tips, and gave us great material and exercises. Everything was well organized.
I highly recommend this training.

I recently completed the Close Protection Top-Up Course with Olive Group and was thoroughly impressed with the level of training delivered. As a trainer and assessor myself, I have high expectations—and Paul, our instructor, exceeded them.

Paul demonstrated what it truly means to be a great teacher. His approach was professional, friendly, calm, and incredibly effective. Not only did I enhance my existing skillset, but I also came away with valuable insights into his teaching methods—so much so that I’ve adopted some of these techniques in my own training sessions.

With extensive real-world operational experience, Paul brings a depth of knowledge that enriches the entire learning process. For anyone considering entering the close protection field or needing to complete their CP top-up, I can’t recommend Olive Group highly enough.

Big thumbs up 👍 couldn’t have asked for a better course “Paul” you made it enjoyable with your humour and direction as a teacher, I learnt a lot,
Olive group have an asset in you and you should put in for a massive pay rise mate,

All joking aside, I would highly recommend and if the SIA decides to add more modules to the CP licence I will be heading straight to Olive group

Many thanks Paul Furlong 🤩🤩

I attended a recent Highfield Level 2 Close Protection Top Up Course with Paul F ending on 23/04/2025.

I was extremely impressed with the teacher Paul F and how good the course was and how well it is structured.

Paul has an extensive real world experience and is very thorough in his training style.

The content was interesting a well put together with Paul's spin on it to make it highly relevant.

Plenty of practical scenarios and relevant videos, this was not a death by PowerPoint course!

He was patient and made sure everybody on the course was 100% proficient in the skills and techniques being taught.

To get to the venue was roughly a 2 hour train ride from London and accommodation is available on site.

I would recommend this course to any of my friends or colleagues without hesitation.

My course with Olive group was a fantastic experience. The tunnel is a fantastic place to learn and they also make you feel at home there. You learn from professionals with a lot of front line experience and they also made the practical assessments as realistic as possible. we were well looked after and on the whole I would highly recommend. I now have a trustworthy company that I can recommend to others and also I am going back there to gain further knowledge and gain more qualifications.

If you are reading this review than book the Close Protection course NOW. The olive group are highly professional with a vast amount of experience and knowledge. Paul, who ran the course from start to finish was available 24/7 for any concerns that you may have throughout the duration of the course. Paul's teaching process was very professional and relaxed throughout the duration. The course is extremely informative and gives you everything you need to insure you get the most out of the experience and prepare you for the live scenarios. Paul manages to fill the role of a teacher and mentor and will always go the extra mile to assist you even if it be a 2am finish or a 4am start.

With no previous experience in either security industry or military, it was difficult to try and find the right provider to use for my CPO training. I went with Olive Group after reading through the reviews on here and I'm extremely thankful I did!

Paul is an extremely experienced, qualified and credible instructor and I was impressed through the whole course seeing the level of thought and planning went into every single one of the lessons. Paul expects a high standard from his students, but it was really refreshing to see an instructor who clearly holds themselves unfailingly to those same high standards.

Pauls experience added a lot to the course and meant I came away with a whole range of lessons that I would not have had exposure to through another provider.

The course was hard work, but the level of teaching means I've come away feeling well set up and confident in my ability/training as I enter the security industry.

Fast communication, excellent standard of training and a great instructor. You won't go wrong selecting Olive Group for CP training.

The notorious CP Top up course turned out to be a breeze thanks to highly experienced instructor Paul’s excellent teaching techniques. I highly recommend Olive Group for anyone looking at gaining or renewing their CP license.

Choosing Olive Group for my Close Protection course was absolutely the right decision. Paul, the main instructor, has done every job in the industry, and his wealth of knowledge made the learning experience both easier and more enjoyable. He was incredibly dedicated, often staying late to help the team with any work we needed to complete after the official training day had ended—no matter how late it was.

The facility itself is very professional and situated in a great location. The training was top-notch, with realistic, live scenarios that provided an excellent learning experience. I found the entire course highly engaging and enjoyable.

I would highly recommend Olive Group to anyone considering a career in close protection. Their commitment to high-quality training and real-world preparation is second to none.

This was 100% the right choice for me the course was everything and more of what I expected. Rob the instructor was amazing the knowledge he shared with us was above and beyond. The practical easements where really well run as if it where for real pushed me hard in a good way and made me think. I will be looking and doing my level 4 as well. Thankyou to rob and everyone at the tunnel with olive group for a great week.

It was truly the right choice, choosing the Olive Group to do my CP course. The instructions both theory and practical were spot on.

Paul took his role as the main instructor very seriously and approached his job in a very professional manner while also making the learning experience fun also. The theory and practicals were spot on. Some days were long and arduous, but was worth it in the end.

If you’re thinking about doing your CP course anytime soon the choice is very clear, look no further then the Olive Group. For first class training by experienced Operators look no further. Think of the training as exercise on reality, it is well worth it.

Thank you very much indeed gents for imparting your knowledge, experience and expertise. It was an absolute pleasure, all the very best for the future.

It was a pleasure to do the training with olive group. Paul and Robert were perfect instructors and learned me everything very well I had a little language barrier because I’m not from the UK, but Paul helped me also in the end of the classes when I had questions thanks a lot Steve, Paul and Robert and I promise we see us again.
Greetings from scrambled egg.

Second course completed with Olive group training. Again instruction was excellent and was delivered in an easy to understand manor. Would recommend.

A big thank you to the OG training team down at the tunnel. The course content was pitched at the right level and the instructors knowledge and delivery was first class. The training facility and materials are excellent.

All in all I highly recommend this course, thanks again to the team Paul and Steve.

I am ex military and have been operating in private security for many years, both as an operator and a company director. My SIA Close Protection Licence was about to expire, so I had to do an SIA Licence 'Top Up Course' which comprised of 3 days CP refresher training and a 5 day Medical Course. There are many security training providers, however it was important to me to book a training course with a credible company that not only provides training, it provides close protection services both nationally and internationally, because that ensures that the instructors are experienced and the training is realistic. Although i have not worked for Olive Group, I have been involved in security operations in the same areas of the world as Olive Group which had a very good reputation. That made Olive Group the obvious choice as a security training provider. The medical and and CP instructors were both experienced operators which made training realistic and enjoyable. It proves once again, it does not matter how experienced you are, if you have an open mind and good instructors who deliver a realistic of both theory and scenario based training, you will always learn something which will prove to be invaluable when you are operating for real. Great course, great instructors, at a very reasonable price.

As the President of OG H, it is important for me to practice what i preach, remain qualified and up to date. Attending this course along with others we conduct allows myself to see how the courses come across from a students perspective. As a student i thoroughly enjoyed the course and definitely came away more knowledgeable in the subject and competent!
As the president of the Company i Came away knowing that our instructors both internally and externally go that extra mile to ensure that the subjects taught, are drilled into each and every Student (no matter their Level of previous knowledge and experience) through additional tuition, guidance and help including "out of Hours" if/when required, to give all students the best possible chance to pass and to excel. Well done OG Team and congratulations to all students who have come, worked hard, Passed and are now reaping the benefits of what they have learned for their current Roles/Job's and for those that have just entered the industry, Their new Carrer! well Deserved !

I attended the the SIA CP top up course with Olive Group Training. before attending the course all relevant course information was accurate, speedy and on point,
Paul F delivered the course with professionalism and a down to earth style, everything was well explained to all students,
Paul F is obviously a very knowledgeable, experienced Operator and also an approachable instructor, training facilities and location were perfect,
I would definitely recommend Olive Group in the future.
Paul and Steve thank you, good job.

It was a pleasure to attend the Level 2 CP Top Up Course. The instructor had tremendous knowledge and delivered it with a great teaching style. The location was excellent, with a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

I would fully recommend the course to anyone that requires it.
