Amazing tour :) Liked the good balance between experiencing and free time. Daan was our tour guide. He was professional when he needed to be, and a lot of fun when not. He knew a lot about the history of Japan. He had a lot of good recommendations for everything and was always ready to help navigating how to get around. Overall good experience!

George is just a cracker tour guide everything was well organised, and every activity was lots of fun couldn't have been a better experience

Amazing Japan adventure with George!! My wife and I decided to spend part of our honeymoon on tour and had the most wonderful time. George went out of his way to make great recommendations and guide us through the sometimes stressful parts of travel, despite a pretty large group. We had a great time and can't wait to come back to Japan after experiencing it with One life!

This was a once In a lifetime trip for me and getting to spend it with my friends new and old and our amazing tour guide George was the icing on the cake George was a brilliant guide he was super informative and was very relaxed when it came to guiding us around a sometimes very busy Japan! His calm approach definitely made me relax on our travels. He was super fun and informative on everything we done and of defiantly recommend him to any group! This trip had so many things packed into the 10 days we done but also left the right amount of down time between activities if you are thinking about booking defiantly do it! I would again!

The Incredible George!

If I could give George 10 stars, I would. From start to finish, he was the absolute best part of our tour. His knowledge was impressive, but it was his personality that truly made the experience unforgettable.

George has a rare gift for making everyone feel included and cared for. He was incredibly helpful, patiently answering all our questions, and his calm demeanor was so reassuring—especially in busier areas. He also has a wonderfully dry and witty sense of humor that had our whole group laughing throughout the day.

What stood out most was his genuine desire to ensure everyone was having a good time. He was constantly checking in, making small adjustments to ensure our comfort, and sharing stories that weren't just facts, but were engaging and fun. He didn't just guide us; he hosted us. Thank you, George, for a truly brilliant trip. You are a credit to the company, and I would book any tour you lead in a heartbeat!

Sizing the time! Every day we were active visiting new places (shrines, Buddha temples, arcades, traditional food, geisha ...) with free time. There is a lot of walk about 30k steps a day and stairs. Some Hostels could be better. Our guide was George very nice guy, very communicative, every day sent us the itinerary for next day and recommendations in WhatsApp.

Something that could be better, some hostels and maybe some extra transportation in some areas instead walk.

Jordan Whapham did a great job leading our tour group. I especially appreciated his patience moving through the train stations. He would stop frequently each time we passed through a ticket gate to be sure everyone made it through. Jordan was very knowledgeable of the various temples and historic sites. I wish Onelife used hotels instead of hostels, but I understand it is more cost effective for the package we chose. All in all very happy with the trip!

Booked a single supplement but got a room with shared bathroom for the first 4 nights. Tried raising concerns only to be told it's pay off the experience and then they just stopped replying.
Tour leaders were very new which led to getting off at wrong stops, disorganised transport, etc. Would have been nice if they took photos of all their passengers rather than the favourites, or even focused a little less on getting their own photos- is this my trip or yours?
They include lots to up the overall price and you get guilted when you prefer doing an activity on your own.
But also some things missed like instead of a tasting menu at a restaurant worth local drinks, it was drinks and snacks from 7-eleven in the park.

Jordan had a lot of secret spots to show us and so many great restaurant recommendations and ideas for things to do in our free time! He really took his time to answer everyone’s questions, and he was so nice and friendly.

The essentials Japan trip is a fantastic mix of guided tour and free time. Covered all the key tourist spots in Tokyo and Kyoto plus some hidden gems.
Jordan gave us great information and plenty of recommendations for our free time.

This is a perfect tour if you want a mix of a guided trip but still some free time to explore Japan by yourself. Jordan was super friendly and informative, gave us loads of recommendations and just made the travel so easy and seamless.

My Japan Essentials tour has been a fantastic experience, visited some amazing places with a great bunch of people and our tour guide Jordan was excellent! I have been wanting to visit Japan for a long time, and the whole experience has exceeded my expectations! Obviously Japan is incredible, but the experience on the whole with the group, what's included on the tour, and our excellent guide Jordan has made it just so easy and enjoyable! I will definitely be recommending this trip. As for Japan....I'll be back!

I had a great time on my first trip abroad. There was a good balance between scheduled group activities like the sushi making and kendo classes and free time to explore. The tour guide, Ashleigh, did a great job wrangling the group and we didn't miss any trains. She was very knowledgeable on tours and had loads of recommendations for free time to fit any interests. The accommodations were clean and in great locations.

My Japan trip with One Life was amazing! I saw so many places and authentic Japanese experiences that I wouldn’t have otherwise if I hadn’t joined the tour. Our trip guide Ash was incredible - friendly, knowledgeable, professional and very clearly loves guiding and taking the time to get to know everyone which is not always easy with a diverse group and fast paced tour. Highly recommend One Life Adventures, and already looking at my next tour!!

I would recommend one life. The itinerary was the best out of all the options that we looked at and our guide Ash was even better. She really helped raise the experience to a ten with her knowledge, humour and experience in the area. We had just the right amount of Activites each day, with some rest time in between. Book now!

Ashleigh did a magnificent job guiding us in Japan over 14 days from Tokyo to Hiroshima. She went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible in this lovely country. I really fell the value of this tour with all the included activities organised by One Life Adventures.

We got to see lots of places and landmarks during this trip. If I am to put forward a suggestion, the only thing I would propose is maybe to have a full free day towards the middle of the tour, so some of us who feel bit run down can have a rest and be energised for the second half of the tour.
All and all, great job One Life Adventures team!

Ashleigh was a great guide - knew a lot of places to recommend in free time and had great delivery on the all the history and knowledge sharing. She ran a tight ship, kept the group in order and going through the busy metro stations with ease - wasn't stressed about getting lost or left behind at all.

This tour was great experience overall as an initial introduction to Japan. It gave me a lot of ideas of more curated experiences to look for the next time time I visit this awesome country!

Main spots at the best time to avoid crowded places. Enough time to look around and take pictures.
Recommendations for free time have been also very good.
