Daughters with curls and this mama had no experience

All the products are so good to use on…

All the products are so good to use on curly hair , they really work, such good support from the only curls team in ordering for my salon use and for my clients, I have tried many curl products over the years , only curls is definitely the best.

Great for wavy hair

Really nice, great for my wavy hair. I used to have to put water on it a lot but it finally has the moisture to stand on its own. Curl crème is my favourite product. I would love an advantage card system if they had one though.

Genuine company but disappointed with results

Customer service quick to respond with my queries before purchase.

However, very disappointed with the products. I had been using those from another company but felt I could get a bit more definition with my hair. Sadly this didn't happen and the other brand was much better.

Other cons:
Postage is very high. More so than similar companies.
No free gift for new customers despite saying there would be.

Our range does get lots of great reviews, but we completely understand that every head of curls is unique and sometimes it takes a few tweaks to find the right routine.

Embracing natural hair for 7 years now

I have been embracing my naturally wavy hair for about 7 years. In this time navigating what works for me has been tricky often involving lots of trial and error having to buy costly products just to see if they work for me. I had been considering Only Curks products but didn't want to spend lots of money to find they don't work for me. The starter/travel bundle was ideal for trying the products and I have found them to be the best I have used yet. I've had little to no build up in the 6 months I have been using them and my waves are more defined than ever. I am very happy 😊

Not for me

I have tick curly hair and as I have aged it's become hard to keep my curls. I saw the ad for only curls and was hoping it would help. Unfortunately it didn't do what I wanted it to do. However the cleanser and conditioner are amazing, leaving my hair nice and soft but the cream did not keep my curls and my hair felt hard so didn't like that either.
I tried their introductory package which was great way for me to get small amounts of the product at a decent price.

I've been a customer with OnlyCurls for…

I've been a customer with OnlyCurls for maybe around 10 years now. I really like their products, they suit my hair better than other brands I've tried.

However I'm really dissapointed in the change from 1 litre bottles costing £50, to 500ml refills that cost £30. This increases the amount of times I have to order, works out more expensive over the year, and also increases complete packing waste and delivery frequency, which then increases my carbon footprint. As someone who's environmentally conscious, I find this incredibly frustrating.

There is a subscribe and save option which is cheaper (£25), but the delivery interval for re-delivering is 8 weeks. A 500ml pouch is more likely to last me around 12 weeks, so the subscribe option doesn't match my usage amount. I don’t have the time/energy spare to have to remember to repeatedly cancel or adjust orders just to avoid over-buying.

I understand that they have changed to using a sugarcane derived bio-plastic which might explain the decrease in size/increase in cost, and it does have lower carbon emissions prodution than what they were using before, however, the increase in delivery frequency of the products likely offsets at least some of the environmenatal gains.

Also, another minor gripe is the amount of marketing emails I receive - it's almost daily, and it is pretty frustrating. An email a week would be more than enough. I have only remained subscribed because I don't want to miss the occassional deals and offers.

I’ve rated this 3 stars because while I still really like the brand and want to support more sustainable choices, these changes have made me question whether this new system truly benefits long-term, low-consumption customers. I hope Only Curls will consider more flexible delivery intervals or larger refill options in the future.

Subscriptions are still very new for us, and we’re actively reviewing feedback as it comes in, so your comments on the 12-week cadence are especially helpful and definitely something we’ll take on board.
As a small business, pricing the 1-litre bottles proved challenging, and we realised we’d priced them too low to be sustainable long-term, which is why you’ve seen a change. We may consider bringing 1-litre bottles back in the future, but they wouldn’t be at the same price point.

I have tried the Only Curls products

I have tried the Only Curls products. I would not over rate them but they are okay for certain hair types. My main issue is that after buying the products, I have been consistently hounded via email and various different telephone text messages, advertising their products. When I block the number, another one comes up on a different number. I contacted them twice and twice was told that I would be unsubscribed but it goes on and on. That is what really puts me off buying more. I have never been so bombarded by any other company as much as Only Curls. If you're buying as a gift, one off purchase, be prepared to experience the same. It's bullying, harassing and an invasion of privacy. Either they cant manage their database or it is deliberate. A warning to you all

Nothing received, no customer service

Ordered and paid 31st December. Nothing received.
Have now chased 3 times, no response.
No number to call.
Really really disappointed.
EDIT -
The poor review prompted almost immediate contact and my order was resent with a different courier. Arrived yesterday. I have increased my one star to a three star. The products, I'm happy with, although a bit expensive. The customer service was a real disappointment.
Sorted now though.

ALLERGEN PRESENT

The ingredients include nuts and it’s not stated clear enough on the label, like “not tested on animals” or “silica free”.

Ended up having an allergic reaction on my whole head.

Delivery took ages..

Delivery took ages... plenty of emails going back and forth... Product eventually arrived, so tried it.
It sort of does what it says on the tin, but not really... Waves disappeared the same evening... do not waste your money please!

Very disappointed, expensive, irritating and ineffective

I waited and saved to treat myself to some of their products after seeing such impressive results online. However, the 'gentle' shampoo ravaged my scalp, the curl cream is runny and thin and seemed ineffective and the end results were limp and very disappointing. I kept using the products for 3 weeks to see if they took a while to settle and give results as I'd seen in adverts and in socials, but instead they caused my scalp to bleed and itch and burn, and left my hair lank and looking scraggly. Honestly, I get better results with a £2 cream and a mousse off the shelf at the super market. Very disappointed to have wasted so much money and to be left with a sore damaged scalp. I'm sure that these products perhaps work for some people, but buyer beware...they certainly won't work for all. I spent nearly £70 for trial size bottles! Whereas I am now back to my usuals from the supermarket, which cost less than £10 for full size products that cause no irritation and give perfect results.

FREE GIFT - TWO OF THE SAME

Great product. Been using nearly 2 years. Have bought many products. Extremely disapointed my first order got a hair wrap ( no use to me - never use ) Then received with next order same. Please dont bother sending me a FREE GIFT again.

Products don’t give the results shown…

Products don’t give the results shown in the ads. My hair felt really greasy after washing, and the curl cream and gel made my hair sticky and did not give me defined curls. Won’t be wasting my money on this junk again, will stick to my premium haircare brand.
