Not a scam, though does seem to miss-represent itself with nhs logo letter. The questionnaire is insanely long. The full terms are only visible after you complete it. The appointment was cancelled at short notice. On reflection I'm not too inclined to hand over blood sample to such an amateur setup. Looks likely to fold and lose control of DNA.

I have just experienced a rather sad and worrying interaction with these people.
So much so I then terminated the enrollment process with them.
During this conversation I noticed that every advisor that I spoke with sounded very young to me and extremely inexperienced.
Managers would not take the call from these kids leaving them to sort it out.
In my opinion these people are scam artists !!!!!!!!!!
Important note - double check with them as to what they will be doing with your blood as they can extract DNA from it.
If you do not believe me check the Trustpilot feedback on this company, surely they cannot all be wrong.
Scam artists seems to be a recurring theme ??

My appointment at Newtownards (Portaferry Road Mobile Clinc) early in morning…no staff visible…5 people waiting with all same appointment time.

No email to cancel our appointments, complete shambles, I wouldn’t bother if I were you. Personally drove 5 miles, now out of pocket.

Like others I received an official looking letter from OurFutureHealth with the NHS logo prominently displayed, making a pitch for my help in improving the Nation’s health. I decided to sign up, do the questionnaire and make an appointment for a blood test, simple enough I thought in my innocence.

Half way through the very lengthy questionnaire I had had enough for one day. I had intended to resume the next day but then heard some disturbing reports for example a friend of a friend going through a brain-scan as part of this research and endless followups so I decided it was not for me at the age of 83

However, cancelling was easier said than done despite the website’s assurances that one can cancel at any time.

The online cancellation process was simple but the catch is that at the very end you discover you are required to make a followup phone call to complete the process and have your data erased. Unfortunately that requires a working telephone system and that proved to be sadly lacking

I made a few attempts in which my chosen number from the menu failed to register resulting in my going round in a loop repeating the attempt. Finally success, was put on interminable hold and was repeatedly told I was number one in the queue (which I doubt) and eventually hung up. Next day I had to listen to all the usual recorded preambles only to be told no one around, try another day. Pity they hadn’t said that at the outset. So I have still never been able to speak to anyone. I emailed a complaint to the dedicated address and have received no response save an automated acknowledgment over a week ago. Ticket no 497815 for the record.

I also cancelled my blood test, and that has prompted reminder emails about rebooking it along with other reminders about completing my questionnaire. My online cancellation apparently counts for nothing and I have given up trying their useless phone line.

So I have blocked them and hope never to hear from them again. They have data on me and I cannot access them to get it deleted.

My experience suggests that OurFutureHealth is not a well run organisation if it treats people like that. If it is not a scam in some form it is certainly acting like one. To be avoided!

I received a letter addressed to' all residents' and believing it to be legitimate as it had NHS logo on it completed it for 2 reasons.1) appeared to be for a good cause, 2) offered £10 voucher. As I am a pensioner was tempted. As I continued to complete questions felt uneasy as it was about sexual orientation and personal living conditions, homeowner, gas heating etc. No medical questions! Did not offer nearby booking for blood test etc. Looked up reviews which confirmed my suspicions. Will try to opt out by phone tomorrow as advised. but am thinking may not be possible .... Definitely a scam. Now expect to be bombarded with unsolicited contacts about God knows what.

I have participated in various NHS projects over the years, so as 'Our Future Health' is presented with the participation of the NHS, I hit the 'join' button.

Having completed the very lengthy questionnaire (which has some useless answers to tick) I relax - but not for long. Oh, here's another questionnaire asking for my thoughts on the original one. When I mention this to friends and strangers, they roar with laughter!

Right, appointment 11:45 am Monday but please arrive 5 minutes early. I comply. Door locked. Knock. Wait. Knock again. Wait, wait and wait. Lady arrives and goes through the same procedure. Wait even more.

Gentleman arrives in electric wheelchair, having travelled 5 miles for this sole visit, also lady who has been shopping in Asda. She tells us her appointment was cancelled by text at 8.30 am with no reason given. Others check (I don't use mobile phone). Nothing. Not even an apologetic note on the door.

24 hours and 1 minute later, I receive an email. "We're sorry your recent appointment... didn't go ahead." Computerised response, almost as though it is was MY fault.

Well, I am NOT sorry there will be no new appointment. Treat people like dirt, expect dirt in return - and shame on NHS, Boots and DV&VA for being involved, directly or indirectly, in this nasty, insensitive, uncaring, disorganised 'organisation'.

Got their letter in post today, wanting to buy my blood for a tenner. Not the NHS…some random entity wanting to get your DNA 🧬 and personal info to farm out the highest bidder and probably explore what your antibodies can and can’t fight for some dodgy lab experiments not to dissimilar to 2019/2020. Don’t fall for it. Sadly, I’m sure some older residents will think this is the NHS…absolutely diabolical smoke and mirrors approach. 😒

I received a letter yesterday. I would make people aware that this is not the NHS, it is a private company in partnership with the NHS. You will be selling your DNA profile, essentially the blueprint that is uniquely yours, for £10. Private companies can then pay "up to £15 million" for access to the data. Received letter, was unsure, googled to check for info. Seemed okay,(I'm not that savvy) gut was saying otherwise. Did the QR code, asked for a payment of £1.99 down from £11.99? For security protection?? Small print said subscription would go up the next month. That was enough for me!! Listen to my gut next time.....🤬

Appointment cancelled the night before. Only alternative locations are about 100 miles from where I live (Inverness) so won't bother.

Looks like they have my details through the online questionnaire and still have the promised tenner which I am unlikely to get now.

Am a tad suspicious of Our Future Health now..

Turned up at 1.35pm for my 1.45pm appointment and was told to come back at 2pm as they were on a lunch break x I don’t drive was dropped off and had to phone to come back to collect me as it was a very hot day and nowhere to sit in the shade I won’t be rearranging as they didn’t seem to bother about me and the same could happen again.

My motivation signing up was to get a cholesterol check without bothering the doc. When I requested that the result should be shared, I was informed that today’s test was only for DNA. I felt misled by the info in the promotion.

Tried for several days to book. Website doesn't work. No way of contacting a human. Very uncomfortable about having given personal details for nothing. Zero response from FH

Waited for 35 mins until was told system was down. Emailed and got a generic response. They do not appear to appreciate people making special trips. No personal touch no apology. They Emailed me to re book and I asked to be removed and again a generic email.

Wasted my time by harrassing me for months only to make me walk all the way to the station 2 hours away and cancel my appointment at the very last minute or was only 25+°c. I'll be reporting these to the NHS I actually almost collapsed and these guys done care in the slightest

Received letter inviting me to participate. Concerned to read VERY small, VERY faint paragraph at bottom of letter that this is a private company, linked with another private company that sells your data & DNA.!
Company report shows unidentifiable image ' pictures' of Chief Officer in very smudged black & white ink that looks like it came from a very old and cheap/faulty printer!- NOT IMPRESSED.

I have to admit that I signed up to this originally as it sounded like the right thing to do if it helps people in the future.

Just got the email asking to for my consent to allow access to my DNA via blood samples, my NHS number and after reading through their literature about what would be done with all this, it was so opaque about who gets access to our information and that ‘researchers’ could have access that were not necessarily even in the UK, I thought I’d dig a little deeper into who these people are and I’m glad I did. I deleted my account with them, god knows who they’re sending your DNA and NHS data to or what they’ll do with it. Once your information is out of the country, it only leaves your imagination to what they will use it for in the future. If they move to insurance based Health Service in the future, they already have an head start in what they know about you.

I wonder why they are interested knowing your DNA? I doubt for diseases reason as the NHS doesn’t give a toss about our health anyway, look at hospitals appointment waiting lists and degrading health services how shocking they are
I assume this to know about peoplesDNA and store them for some other reason that suit them somehow
I would never give that to anyone as no matter how long we live we are to die but we rather die with dignity not with our identity stolen from us

2 previous on the day cancellations and a no show at the actual appointment. The aim is to collect enough data to improve the health of the coming generations, but sadly the people organising this have proven themselves to be totally inept. My advice is not to respond to their plea for blood tests and don't give them any funding.

BIG SCAM. It should be ZERO stars but that is not an option. I thought that this was a genuine NHS partnership but not so. On trying to withdraw from the program the selection gives a telephone number to ring. On phoning the number the agent asked for the last four digits of my credit card. At no time had the survey mentioned any payment and why would I pay when I have been invited by a "NHS partner" to answer questions to aid research. AVOID
