The reason was non-trivial, in any case it a reset was needed. Pair staff handled this fast, and safely by asking for additional communication and proof of credentials.
As I would have expected! I signed up with pair first time in 1999.
Decades of satisfaction
I have been doing business with Pair since the mid 1990s. They have only gotten better in every possible way. Their tech support is nothing short of sensational and everyone has always been very helpful in assisting me with any issues that arise. I think very highly of the company and have a great deal of confidence in them.

Dismisal?
As I recall, my last support request was about robots. My web traffic is up, with new patterns. I have noticed that some sites, like some of my science resources, have a preliminary screen that confirms I'm not a robot. I was wondering if such a preliminary screen was advisable for me. I was hoping for some helpful discussion. What I got felt like a quick dismissal. BTW- a link to my request would be helpful for this feedback exercise.
Issue resolved but support desk clearly overwhelmed
Ultimately, I received the information I needed. But do no doubt to recent billing and policy changes. It took several days for my question to be addressed and answered.
Honestly, I’m giving a three for the quality of the response. My overall satisfaction with Pair is lower. Billing changes have caused a number of disruptions for me. I’ve been with the company about 15 years and I find the recent changes to be problematic and not adequately communicated.

My relationship with Pair goes back to their start - in the last millenium.
Pair is and always has been responsive - in these times of corporate raiding by private equity etc - I hope the status quo in that respect remains

Support clearly communicated the issue, and followed up once resolved. I've worked with many hosting companies, and Pair is among the best.

Ivan was unable to provide the help I needed to transfer my mailboxes from Pair to Pair Domains, and didn't answer the questions I asked about email forwarding.
Also, the Pair Domains website says:
- Email Forwarding is included at no extra cost with every domain name registered with us.
- Email hosting for 1, 3, or 5 mailboxes is available as an add-on service.
but there is no indication that you can't use both email forwarding and email hosting at the same time. This is deceiving. I specifically asked about both services in my original email and was left to figure everything out on my own, and now I regret moving some of my mailboxes to Pair Domains because I didn't have the information I needed.
I needed information about upgrading my websites to support SSL/HTTPS
I needed information about upgrading my two hosted websites to support SSL/HTTPS. The support person, Devin, answered my questions clearly and enabled me to upgrade my sites immediately to PairSSL -- service at its best.

Pair Networks has always been a no muss, no fuss experience from beginning to end. I'm shutting down my website because it's no longer relevant, but if I ever need to create another site, I'll use Pair.

Appreciative and Thankful
I am not savvy with any tech issues. The person helping me was patient, clear, and sent an email with it all written out. He was professional, and I genuinely appreciated his patience with me.
Glad to know that I can reach out and get a live person, and not an auto chat thing . I also appreciate that it is someone right here in the U.S. who speaks English clearly. This is very helpful.

In response to your request, I would tell you when best to contact me but then you would call on a different day at a different time.

Support representatives were very helpful every step of the way trying to figure out why emails were not getting to its intended recipients. All has been figured out in a timely fashion! Thank you and keep up the great work!
